dreblr and c!dream apologists appreciation -
I’ve anxiety about posting anything on social media, even just a comment on a tik tok vid. Dreblr is such a welcoming place where I feel like my contributions are valued, and there’s so much support. This acc has had such a positive impact on my mental health in just a couple of days, and that’s all thanks to you guys.
immediately tired of people being all "i'm allowed to hate tommy for the slightest reasons" like. sure. but fucking consider WHY you hate tommy for self-ascribed slight reasons when other characters have done worse, more malicious things. why are you singling out a gay man? why isn't he allowed to express sexual desire? why is his reciprocation of buck's daddy issues joke HIS fault? jesus christ just say you want to sexualize queer men without listening to us talk about our experiences, traumas, and desires
maybe it isn’t healthy for kids in this fandom to hear almost everyone dismiss sh as ‘just for attention’??
Thinking about how c!dream wasn’t left alive out of mercy, but because he was useful. Everyone watched two canon lives taken from him- one after he’d surrendered (which is a war crime btw) and no one said anything. They were perfectly willing to see him perma killed.
Dream knowing his attachments and relationships weren’t what saved his life, but his last remnant of power.
apropos of nothing, here’s a quote from a medical paper
‘for just about all prisoners, being held in isolated confinement for longer than 3 months causes lasting emotional damage if not full-blown psychosis and functional disability’

I can make it worse- is dying of old age a thing in minecraft? Because we don’t know if c!dream can commit suicide to bring about a canon death, so did he ever wonder if he would just be left there? That everyone on the server would leave, that he would be forgotten or intentionally left behind. Doomed to spend eternity locked in pandoras vault. Without having even a clock to keep him company, because he’d destroyed it in a desperate ploy for human interaction. I make myself sad sometimes
currently wondering what the longest time c!dream went without human contact was
Killing a surrendered enemy is a war crime
thinking about c!dreams clock once again
Constantly throwing it away makes so much sense, beyond just as a way to see c!sam.
The constant ticking only serves to let him feel every second of his time imprisoned. To know exactly how many days he’s been locked away, that’s a torture all on it’s own. But so would ignorance. To be unsure of how much time has passed between each delivery of food rations. Are they coming further apart now? C!sam comes to give him a new clock and says its been only a day, but he’d been so sure a week had passed.
an effect of solitary confinement is paranoia. C!dream begins to suspect his clock has been tampered with. It speeds up, slows down. Surely it hasn’t been that long yet? And yet, surely its been longer?
he cares too much about this inanimate object. Anytime he realises that he couldn’t bare to have it taken from him, he destroys it himself.
Burning hot take:
I’m not usually one for pain olympics, but since people keep saying that c!dream’s actions towards others are justification for his torture I gotta say it.
The prison is worse that exile
I somewhat disagree, as trauma is subjective- however I absolutely agree that the prison is a clear escalation. And even if exile was ‘worse’ that doesn’t make any further mistreatment okay!
