Absolutely fighting the urge to redraw some of my hunger games art even though none of it is even a year old
Since I officially have the first 20 chapters and a whole outline (more or less) written I figured I should probably let you all know about the comic I'm writing!
It's called Little Fawn It's a retelling of Snow White about the huntsman promising protect Snow from the Queen's wrath after almost killing her himself If you're a fan of stories about a tired/grumpy man accidentally adopting a goofy kid, this might be your vibe
The Main Characters:
Emil (AKA The Huntsman) When he’s summoned by the Queen and asked to kill her step daughter, Princess Snow, everything in Emil is screaming no, but he finds himself accepting the task against his own mind and heart. Emil is quiet and apprehensive of most people. He’s honest to a fault and always keeps to his word. He struggles endlessly with his guilt over almost killing Snow
Snow White: Snow is Crown Princess and beloved by all who know her. All except her step mother, Queen Ennlin, who hates how "her" subjects love Snow more than her and orders a huntsman to take care of it once and for all. Snow, like the Grimms Brother version, is only seven years old. She's is a very curious kid and has a special interest in animals. Especially spiders, frogs, rats, and birds (much to many's chagrin). She also has a knack for sneaking around and hiding (also to many's chagrin).
If you have any questions let me know!!
“Would fall in love with me again if you knew all I’ve done?”
For all the heartbreak in Act 2 I am forever grateful that it clarified over and over that Jinx is Vander’s daughter
I’ve been a Vander Stan from day 1 and the amount of “Vi was Vander’s daughter, Jinx was Silco’s” posts implying that he didn’t care about her like he did Vi drove me crazy
I’m Not Sorry For Loving You (wip!)
Thank you for tagging me!!!
Unfortunately I can never be concise with these kinds of things lmao
Last song: Devil's Backbone by The Civil Wars
Favorite colors: I'm gonna be lame and say I don't have any (color relativity is way too cool for me to pick favorites)
last movie:I think it was Thumbelina
Last book: I reread a passage from THG last night, but if that doesn't count then the Arcane Artbook, and if THAT doesn't count because we're talking novels then Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Last TV Show: Castlevania Nocturne (I loved Season 1 when it came out but Season 2 was ANOTHER LEVEL) I've also been watching Justice League and Ben 10 in the background while I draw (no idea why those two are what I've landed on)
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Sweet but specifically fruit kind of sweet not dessert kind of sweet
Current obsession: My own comic lol but Nocturne is on the back burner and I can feel THG creeping back up
Last thing I searched online: The etymology of the word dad (trying to figure out what characters can call their father in a fantasy setting)
Looking forward to: FINALLY posting my comic!!
Tagging: @jayusdraws @mendingbone
Thanks @catoscloves for tagging me!
Last song: Abracadabra by Lady Gaga (naturally)
Favorite color: Purple, gray, pink
Last movie: Cabin in the Woods
Last book: Mockingjay (currently)
Last TV show: The Walking Dead
Sweet/spicy/savory: Spicy
Current obsession: The Hunger Games, The Last of Us, House of Leaves, Tender is the Flesh, I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream
Last thing I searched online: Synonyms for scratch
Looking forward to: Lady Gaga's new album, finishing major projects, and returning to college

no one here is guilty of this crime but her name is LENORE DOVE. Not Lenore. Dove is not her middle name it’s the second half of her first name.
Double barrel names are full names. You say the whole thing. It’s like Mary-Kate Olson. It’s not Mary or Kate, it’s Mary-Kate. There’s just a space between Lenore and Dove instead of a hyphen, which is totally normal. The whole thing is her name. Just like Lucy Gray isn’t Lucy. Double barrel names are a part of Covey culture AND ALSO current southern and Appalachian culture.
Omg I just found your blog and your art is LOVELY. I was wondering if you had a timeline for when your commissions will be back open? Totally understand if not but I had to ask!
Thank you!!! I've been working on a webcomic that's been taking up a lot of my free time so I'm not sure yet! But I love doing commissions so I'm hoping to open them again soon!!
There's this art challenge going around where you draw in the opposite art style of your own and it sounds really fun but..
how does everyone know what their art styles looks like??
Especially enough to draw the opposite???
