Amazing, I love how there's a "Frozen" reference in "Sailor Moon"! 😃
One of the key animators of the original Sailor Moon anime, Kimiharu Obata, published an artbook that contains this gorgeous image of Sailor Moon posing like Queen Elsa!
Almost sounds like me... Almost. 😅

Magnetic Rose
An acrylic paint screenshot recreation of one of the last shots from the first and arguably best short film of the sci-fi anthology anime film Memories. I know the final product looks a bit rushed when looking at the flower, but I did not know how else to finish it.

Bubblegum Scumble
Another quick painting I did to experiment with my cheap paints for scumbling. I always had a thing for bubblegum, especially in cartoons, comics, anime, games, etc. With how translucent my paints usually turn out, I thought I’d try them out on this. I was a little impatient with the lips, since I didn’t have enough time to put any light on them or make them more anatomically correct. But I think the bubble turned out pretty nicely.
We got to visit Chinatown and the Chinese garden, the latter which looked remarkably similar to the one back home. (at Chinatown, Vancouver)
This one took more time and precision than I thought. Mixing the right shades of blue over a really dark blue background.
A screenshot repainting of the Night Wind coming for Unico to take him to the Hill of Oblivion under the order of the gods. The look on her face shows just how no-nonsense she is and how she’s willing to do what the more merciful West Wind couldn’t.

Cool! Who would have thought "Frozen" would soon become a Broadway musical like "Aladdin", "Beauty and the Beast", and "The Lion King"?
For the first time in forever, Frozen is coming to Broadway! Rumors about the show have been swirling for some time now, but the official announcement was released today. The all-new show will be joining the likes of the critically acclaimed Aladdin and The Lion Kingin spring 2018. The pre-Broadway engagement is slated to kick off summer 2017.
The musical, based on Disney’s Academy Award-winning film, Frozen, will feature music and lyrics by songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Winnie the Pooh) and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, Book of Mormon), who also wrote the music for the film. The story will be based on a book by the film’s screenwriter, Jennifer Lee. Though the cast won’t be announced until later, there are a ton of talented folks already attached to the project, including Tony Award-winner Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Mozart in the Jungle), and Peter Darling (Billy Elliot, Matilda), who will serve as director and choreographer respectively.
The design team is equally impressive, featuring scenic and costume designer Bob Crowley (Mary Poppins), lighting designer Natasha Katz (Aladdin), sound designer Peter Hylenski, and music supervisor Stephen Oremus (Avenue Q, Wicked, Book of Mormon).
