What's your type? Saw these couple of tweets and couldn't move on until I made this a reality
if you told 9-year-old me that shaggy would play the man behind the slaughter in the live-action five nights at freddy's movie...
I'm always a bit taken back by Homestuck fans who treat classpects as something that has, like, real-world utility as a personality typing system, because โ leaving aside for the moment the broader issues inherent to all personality typing systems โ there's a fairly strong reading that classpects are bullshit, and meant to be understood by the reader as bullshit, even from an in-universe perspective. There's a suggestion which becomes increasingly prominent in the latter portions of the text that SBURB as a system has a shallow and mechanistic concept of personal growth, and that while it's able to identify images and themes that are emotionally resonant to its players, it fundamentally lacks insight into why they're resonant โ it's just bashing tropes together like a kid making their Barbie dolls kiss, and can't tell the difference between an aesthetic preference and a deep-seated trauma. Heck, one of the comic's more consistent motifs is that characters who voluntarily make their classpect central to their self-image typically have something profoundly wrong with them.
addicted to this
redraw (kinda) YEEE
my style doesn't usually look this semi-realistic idk what happened
I like to imagine that Senshi isn't acting that different as an Elf, its just coming across different bevause of his looks.
I like to imagine this is how other Dwarves see him, a delicate pretty boy. It's just other races can't read Dwarf body language that well.
Then he's an elf and suddenly they see his mannerisms in a different light, but he's always been this way. They just didn't have Dwarf Goggles.
Like how other Half Foots instantly clock middle aged Chilchuck but everyone else thinks uwu baby

do you know where "no beta we die like x" comes from and how it is used?
The term "beta" in this context is short for "beta reader" - a person who reads a fic while it's still in the editing stage and helps the writer get it ready to post. Some betas check grammar. Some check canon compliance. Some are sensitivity readers. There are lots of things that betas can do.
So functionally, saying "no beta" means that the writer didn't get this checked by a second person before they posted it. It's a warning that there might be errors or typos etc. It's mostly used when an author has written something quickly and is posting without doing a lot of (or any) edits first.
As for where it comes from? It all started with a bumper sticker.
This image was an internet meme at one point, and it got meme'd on in the form of "no ___ we ___ like men"
Here on tumblr, one of the versions that got really popular was from now-deleted user @grec1a who created this version:
From there, it migrated to AO3 as the "no beta we die like men" tag, and very often the word men is replaced by the name of a character who dies in canon.
people in the notes of that porn addiction post like "i've had men jerk off to porn when i was right here being sexually available" and beyond the idea that not wanting to have sex is some sort of pathology (bad), like... do you really not understand the difference between sex and masturbation?
sex is a social action, doing it means you are taking the needs, desires, and wellbeing of the person you're fucking into account. it takes a certain amount of mental energy and a certain mood to do that? pulling up xhamster and cranking it is like, using similar body parts, but its a completely different task.
if you're with a guy and you're expecting sex with him to be basically him masturbating with your body, well... that's something that needs to be specified and negotiated ahead of time, not the default assumption for sex.
Funny Art Trend.
btw dating sucks as a concept.
