Sabine had to do a double take but sure enough, Adrien was sporting a marker-drawn mustache identical to her own daughter’s. “Well, Madame,” Adrien’s mother laughed. “Seems like our children are meant for each other.”

Adrien is a famous ballet dancer who would rather be at home than at said intensive. The end of the summer will bring about a showcase that could make Marinette’s career, if she can ignore Chloé and focus on something other than Adrien. Sore muscles, coffee breaks, and video chats ensue. And there is an awful lot of fondue.

But Master Fu says they can’t afford to be distant any longer. Chat Noir and Ladybug are meant to work in tandem both in and out of uniform, their strength stemming from the bond created between them. Yet, teenagers are sometimes better at dancing blind than running with wide open eyes, even with the steps laid out before them. Steps in the path of an expanding world. Apart, they’ll flounder. But together, they might just stand a chance.

My Last Thoughts are of You by SKayLanphear Rated T Chapters: 3/3 Summary: When a freak accident sends Marinette into critical condition, the only thing she can think about is Chat Noir. “But you don’t drink.”

You sighed, folding the next round of clothes that came out of the dryer, pressing them against your chest tightly. Zendaya sat across from you, arms folded and lips pursed as she studied the nervous energy beginning to radiate off of you.

“Okay, so?” you questioned hastily, nodding your head in Z’s direction. “I can still…party?” you inched your response, narrowing your eyes as you contemplated your own suggestion.

She laughed lightly, smiling amusingly at your eyes filled with confusion and hesitation. She could read you at any time, due to knowing you for about three years.

And that look. The scene, the vibes you’re giving off, she knows.

You were standing in the middle of your dorm room, sweatpants adorning your legs and a loose t-shirt engulfing you in a tense hug while your hands repeatedly folded hers and your clothes at warp speed.

“Y/N, you’ve never been to a party a day in your life,” Zendaya confessed, leaning her back against the wall behind her bed, eyebrows raised humorously.

“Woah, I’ve been to partie-”

“Not, ones like this.”

Your lips shut tightly as she interrupted, sighing heavily as she eyed you with that look of accuracy. You rolled your eyes as you folded the last pair of leggings, setting them on your bed.

Okay, you were nervous, fine. Going to parties like this was not in your type of scheduling, especially ones that Tom had any time of interaction in.

It wasn’t like you didn’t know what drunk, explicit, nasty, and potentially illegal things went on during Herman’s parties; hell, you could feel the tension from the chaos in your feet as the beat from the music thumped heavily around the entire building at two o'clock in the morning.

You really didn’t want to go, but the thought of seeing Tom’s smug demeanor relishing in your vacancy of tonight caused your veins to tingle with irritation and your teeth to grind together.

You couldn’t give him that kind of satisfaction.

Sitting with him at your next project meetup with him pushing the truth upon you was so much more painful than getting your ass dragged to this hell of an event.

You sighed, eye glancing over at the clock next to Z’s bed.

7:46 p.m.

“Fuck we have like, an hour and half to get ready.” You pushed the newly folded clothes to side, walking towards the shared closet and yanked all of your clothes off their hangers, flailing them onto the bed.

Zendaya chuckled watching you throw your clothes around the room, disposing of the tops you didn’t approve of. “Y/N, are you sure you want to go to this?”

You stopped, looking over your shoulder at her briefly before turning back to your ransacked clothes, “No,” you stopped, breathing in a deep sigh as you leaned your arms onto the pile of clothes, “but I can’t let that little fucker win.” Your voice raspy as you peeked back at her once more, eyebrows furrowed in concern.

Zendaya shot you a small smirk, getting up off the bed. “Well,” she started, moving to stand next to you; her arm reached up and pulled you into the side of her shoulder, squeezing you comfortingly, “Then let’s show him how to have a good fucking time.”

“Oh, god,” were the two words that left that your chapped lips as soon as you set your eyes on the scene before you.

Your eyes couldn’t focus on one thing at a time, because every event that was occurring before you was incomparable to anything you’d ever seen.

To the right, people were piled on top of the other in pairs, lips trailing over the other in muggy, drunken kisses as the couch cushions pushed out due to the pressure from their bodies. To the left, people stood in the kitchen area, sitting on top of counter tops as a joint was being passed around by every person; the fluorescent lights dangling above, lit the numerous high students’ faces with energy as they laughed exceedingly at one another.

As you scoffed, your eyes peeled to the center of the area, where everyone under the goddamn sun was drinking and dancing (grinding) in what seemed like a huddle. Beers were clasped tightly in peoples’ hands as their bodies gyrated against others to the music, mouths slightly opened in a drunken haze.

“What did we-” you started, eyes finally focusing as you made unfortunate eye contact with a guy from your Econ class, Steven Hart, as he had is tongue shoved down some girl’s throat.

“Get ourselves into,” Z finished as you shuddered at the sight before you.

You stood still, unable to move as you felt your comfort level drop to a solid zero, your hands intertwined together, nails scratching at the top of your hands nervously. This entire scene, the situation, just wasn’t you. It wasn’t like you were shitting on people who did actually enjoy this type of scene, you just couldn’t find a way to relax.

Your fingertips pumped with adrenaline as the music thumping around you developed a sense of heaviness in your chest, eyebrows scrunched together. Zendaya mirrored your actions, craning her neck to look around the crowded area.

“I mean,” she started, looking over at you worriedly, “let’s try to make the most out of it, okay?” she pressed, eye looking into yours needily.

“Yeah, you’re right! Let’s just-”

“Woah, Y/N and Zendaya at a party?” You both heard the deep British accent from behind you, yet it radiated politeness and a sense of sincerity as it cut you off.

You both turned and saw Harrison, a wide smile adorning his features and a red plastic cup being held tightly in his left hand. “What’s up?” he asks, approaching two of you.

Zendaya smiled back, “Hey! I haven’t seen you in-”

“Six hours?” Harrison teases, referring to their work on their project. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” his lips are spread widely as his eyes seem to focus in on your roommate, still smiling in his direction.

You looked between the both of them oddly, narrowing your eyes as the flirty silence of an exchange last for several seconds. You reached over and tugged at her jacket, causing her to advert her gaze to you, “Z, let’s go get something to drink, yeah?”

“Oh yeah! Okay, well I’ll see you later,” she looked back Harrison’s smitten gaze on her; he waved slightly before turning back around and heading to a group of guys in the back corner.

You raised your eyebrows in Z’s direction, wiggling them teasingly at her sweet gaze on Harrison as he walked away.

“Shut up!” she whispered, hitting you softly on the arm.

You brushed it off with a chuckle as you two made your way to the kitchen area stacked with keg after keg after keg. The people smoking had migrated to the middle of the room, so the counter-tops (thankfully) were cleared.

Your eyes scanned the area, looking Zendaya in the eye before skeptically reaching over onto the handle of the fridge, yanking in open.

“Just grab me something, easy.” Z clarified shooting you a worried look as you observed the endless amount of alcohol in the fridge. You reached in and grabbed two beers from the top shelf, handing one to her.

You popped it open and brought it to your lips, the cold aluminum touching your lips sent a shiver crawling across your skin as the sour taste hit the back of your throat. Your eyes squeezed shut as slammed the can down, suddenly feeling a rush of adrenaline ignite your veins; the taste of the beer stirring in the back of your mouth.

You don’t know what had come over you in the past ten seconds, but your brain had switched from anxiety-driven actions to hazed-driven actions. Maybe it was the rap music thumping in the back of your eardrums, or the alcoholic breath that was surrounding your nostrils in a sharp scent, but it was somehow bringing you to become more comfortable in the environment, especially watching the way people seemed to be living so care-free and exciting in this state of time.

“Then let’s show him how to have a good fucking time.”

Zendaya laughed whole-heartedly as you picked up the can and chugged the rest of the drink in one breath, the tangy taste causing your tongue to tingle with excitement. “Seems like you’ve really loosened up in the past five minutes,” Z declared, watching you amusingly.

“Y-Yeah! I don’t want to do this with all the worry piled on my back, Z!” You hollered as loudly as you could with the music, “I want to have fucking fun,” you finished, throwing your hand in the air dramatically as cheers from the middle of the room erupted into your ears as someone popped up from an empty keg.

You wanted to be free for just one night.

“Look who actually showed up!” your ears rang with that familiar accent from behind you, causing your stomach to churn on the spot. You lazily turned around to see the one person you didn’t want to see the entire night in front of you, a random girl latched on to his arm.

Tom’s hair was disheveled, resembling after sex hair, as his chocolate eyes were surprisingly sparkling with anticipation as he spoke to you. His thin pink lips appeared to be slightly swollen as they glistened with a wet sheer; cheeks flushed as well.

Your hazy eyes grazed his features in irritation, wandering down to his neck, a bright purple and pink hickey placed right on the base of his throat, his adam’s apple prominent.

You couldn’t help but emit a deep groan as you soaked in the scene: Tom’s disheveled appearance was teasing you as your drunken state was beginning to consume you entirely, your hair stringy with sweat as it glided down the sides of your forehead.

So, it wasn’t exactly a picture-fucking-picture scenario.

You continued to bob your head to the thumping music, another beer in one hand as your jacket had fallen off your right shoulder slightly, “What the fuck do you want, Tom?” you pressed, eyes closing quickly to refrain yourself from falling over.

Tom chuckled, pushing the needy girl off his arm and onto another as he grabbed a beer from his friend’s hand, “I just wanted to see how much of an appearance you’d actually make at this party, love.” His eyes scaled your weary figure as you stopped your motions to look at him confusedly.

You immediately allowed a huge hiccup to release from in between your lips, hand reaching up to wipe your mouth, “I’m here, aren’t I?” you pushed, neck jutting out to make your point before you turned back around to dance with Z.

Your brain was longer operating as it normally did, but it still knew how much you didn’t need Tom annoying the fuck out of you once again.

While you were dancing, you felt a tap on your shoulder; turning back around, you saw Tom once more, lips formed into his usual smug-ass expression.

“What now?” you screamed, throwing your arms out exasperatedly, causing some of your beer to fly out of the can. Tom’s expression didn’t flinch, he stepped closer to you and looked into your glazed eyes amusingly.

Eye-level with him, your lips pursed as one eyebrow quirked up expectantly, questioning his sudden motives. His hair caused your heart to do a quick leap at its state, but you only pressured your mind into thinking it was just your drunken hormonal state allowing you to even think of it.

Tom chuckled softly, “Come with me.”

“What?”

“I want to show you something, just come here, love.” Tom’s voice was softening by the second, so your suspicions grew. But, as he yanked on your arm in the opposite direction, you had no idea what you were about to get yourself into.
