Locke: Remember when I kissed Jude in the garden?
Cardan: I recall your mouth was on her. But her eyes were on me.
LIKE, woah. The possessiveness practically DRIPPING from his tone. Yes I know that we didn't hear hear it. But let's be honest, we all heard it loud and clear
The desperation in annabeths “wait” when Percy shuts the door. When she screams “Percy don’t do this to me” my HEART!!! THE SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN PERCY KNOWS SHELL BE OKAY. Honestly Percy outsmarting Annabeth to introduce his fatal flaw is possibly the best way to introduce who he is. They shattered my heart with this scene.
the stark contrast between sally's you are not broken. you are singular. you're a miracle. you are my son, to chiron's as a forbidden child of the sea god, you are singular amongst demigods...
whole. singular. alone.
perfect in the eye of his mother, and a tool in the eye of his father. his existence is his mother's world and his father's ruination... unless he can do something about it, but why would he want to do that? poseidon left him alone. to hollow out and fill with godly power and dictated direction when the time came. meanwhile sally was filling percy with love and acceptance. for who he already was and for whoever he would become.
forever obsessed with percy being weird. off-putting. strange even. a cryptid maybe. an urban legend if I may. my boy is the son of one of the oldest, most powerful gods, has been in FBI's records since the age of twelve, fought and won two wars against immortal beings, went to hell and back. I think he's allowed to be a little odd.
ah yes, even at 12 percy still messes with frank in spirit.
“Percy was oblivious to his feelings”
But
- His one clear memory being Annabeth when he lost his memory
- Passed up on immortality and godhood for her
- Fell into Tartarus with her instead of letting her go
- Was told not to tell anyone his Achilles spot but told Annabeth
- Almost had a break down when Artemis offered Annabeth a place with her
- Thinks about her in the midst of battle
- Puts Annabeth over everything. “The gods were glaring at me, but Annabeth had her hands over her mouth. Her eyes were shining. And that kind of made up for it.”
- Knows just what she’s capable and advocates for her. “The most powerful demigod in our generation is sitting right here and it isn’t me.” He nodded to Annabeth.
- Admitted he’s only liked one girl and her name is Annabeth.
“She decided i had to be punished. Not him. 𝑴𝒆. ”
“-She said, my impertinence had wounded my mother's pride"
-But 𝑰 sent it. 𝑰 signed the note"
-But I didn't stop you, I have embarrased her and now she's angry”
“I wasn’t like you sweethart, 𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖.”
This parallels KILL ME.
I do. I want something. I want to come along please. We can also get the people who we actually convinced and weren't gonna take him
Hey I’m going to go beat up the previous school counselor that tried to get Percy pulled out of his school before he even started over a fucking DRAWING and walking on a roof and convinced the principal that Percy was so mentally unwell that the best school in the state couldn’t help him, do y’all want anything?
At this point Percy and Annabeth should carry an Uno Reverse Card with them so they can shove it in the others hands when they try to sacrifice themselves for each other
Everything else aside, you know what else is fucked up? How Athena let ECHIDNA, the literal MOTHER of all monsters and the freakin CHIMERA into her "temple". And for what? Annabeth "embarrassed" her??? By letting her demigod quest companion do what he wanted with HIS battle ruins??? AND SHE KNEW THERE WERE CIVILIANS???????
I am having such a hard time picturing me wanting to take the Gods' side in season 5. I just don't see it happening.
Marauders fandom really just said fuck canon
