As promised, the list is here one month in advance to allow for preparation time! Just like last time, there are no hard rules. Just a fun exercise to draw things considered “cringe” by popular culture! No stress needed :)
I’m really proud of this year’s list, honestly. And I’m incredibly excited for October! I hope everyone has fun!!
Day 15 of Auctober!
I love that sharing little things with someone you care for has been given a name! Pebbling! The term comes from how penguins will give pebbles to their loved ones.
I really connect with the term since, when I was a kid, I'd show my step-dad that I cared for him by giving him cool rocks! He still has those rocks to this day!
Surprise! STUDIO INVESTIGRAVE team will be participating in a month-long game jam Spooktober VN Jam this year with a project titled 🌴🍸 ROT IN PARADISE 🌊🚱 , which will be a horror visual novel game about a vacationist named June and her friends on a weekend getaway at an island resort where they have no choice but to go with the tides. The game will be released in late September 2024, so later this month! Stay tuned 🌞
I love the way that Mouthwashing uses Jimmy and Curly taking turns as the perspective character to make their actions not just parallel to each other, but hopelessly, disgustingly inseperable. The clear picture it paints us of how Curly enables Jimmy and how Jimmy guilts Curly into further enabling him. They both avoid responsibility when it really counts-- Curly through shows of appeasement and Jimmy through shifting the blame to someone else.
