Lottie mourns not being able to eat laura lee like shauna got to eat jackie WHAT WHO SAID THAT
all my best posts are ao3 related and i love it so fucking much cause we all run to tumblr when it goes down
i’m actually getting exhausted at this point guys yellowjackets is an extremely queer & sapphic show 😭 like no it’s not the L word. because it wouldn’t make any fucking sense for it to be the L word. these are teenagers from the 90s who have weird and complicated relationships with each other who grow up into emotionally stunted adults who continue to have weird and complicated relationships with each other. i need you to stop discrediting the extremely queer way jackie and shauna were written, the devotion courtney eaton and jane widdop played their characters as having for each other, the ways in which christina ricci has played and talked about misty’s sexuality and feelings toward men, the obvious ways in which travis can be read as a trans woman. i need you to stop discrediting all of this just because they’re not portrayed in a stereotypically sexual and romantic way, just because the themes of this show aren’t spelled out for you. not every queer person is going to look the way you want them to. not every queer showrunner (because, i will remind you, bart and ashley are both queer) is going to write queer characters in the most straighforward way. it’s frankly fucking insulting to see so many people accuse yellowjackets, a show full of beautiful and complex and fucked up queer female dynamics, of queerbaiting and not being gay enough. watch heartstopper if you want a romcom. this is something different. just because queer representation doesn’t look the way you want it to doesn’t make it any less queer.
not aromantic but I believe in their beliefs.

Maybe a controversial take but I have to get this off my chest.
Seeing how different wlw ships get treated compared to mlm or mlw is SO frustrating. Clorivia and Wriorinde is the perfect example for that. Clorivia has so many interactions, so many HINTS at them being implied, from their shared childhood, how they split up and how they found back to each other. Clorinde has been attached to that woman’s hip ever since 4.2 and is still met with so much hate because… some of y‘all hate seeing a good fucking ship…? And then there is wriorinde. Sure, Clorinde visits him for tea from to time but that’s… it???? (NO hate against wriorinde here btw, this isn’t specifically targeted at the shippers. I just think it’s a great example for the point I am about to make.)
Another example is Firelfly and Caelus. Before I continue I wanna say that Caelus and Stelle are the SAME person. The only thing different about them it’s what in their panties. And yet I see so much hate against Firefly x Stelle when Caefly literally gets worshipped to heaven and back. It’s. The. Same. Thing. Literally I cannot open the comment section of Stellefly post without people mentioning Caelus????
Not come at me or not, this is not my opinion. This is a fact when I tell you that wlw ships have to go through 738283 shared cutscenes, 91892 interactions of them being romantic towards each other, have to kiss ON screen and make out while they’re at it and somehow it’s STILL not enough for them to be accepted in the fandom without someone bringing a man into it.
Bronya and Seele are the prime example of that, they literally KISSED in the Honkai Manga and you still want to tell me that they’re not canon???
While ships like Caefly, Wriorinde, Robinhill, Wriolette etc has everyone AND their mother going crazy??? (Not listing Kavetham because they’re SO obvious)
This is NOT an attack against the ships themselves (except Robinhill because if you’re still denying her being a hardcore implied lesbian, don’t event interact with me), but some of the shippers themselves
And dare I say that the most hate comes from a certain Harem part of the fandom.
this is what happens when you leave me in a room unsupervised
