Coming into a fandom late

Why can't parents (especially moms) accept their mistakes??! Like I'm ready to say it's okay mom, you're also human just like the rest of us, you're also allowed to make mistakes. But she just won't accept that she can make mistakes because she's my "Mom". Like do they think that because they are parents they can't make mistakes or something? Cuz like they definitely can, the only thing they should do is ACCEPT their freaking mistake!?!?!! Thats all I'm asking for!!!! Like just say it, "I'm sorry i might've added a little less salt today accidently." Or just inform me if you know it!! But nope nothing of the sorts. Seriously speaking if my mom accepted her mistakes I'm damn sure 90% of our fights would be non-existant. Like please, just accept your mistake...

My Life is not an open book and there are chapters that I, myself, don't want to re-read, let alone giving you the book to read.

I cannot even say the number of people that are there in my life that expect my life to be an open book and let them read it all. The truth is my life isn’t an open book and I do not, for the love of God, want to let you, of all the people on this entire planet, read it.

Losing people is so heartbreaking. How cruel is it that suddenly you have all these leftover memories and information of a person but not them.

You read a book you think they'll like but they're not in your life anymore for you to recommend it to them, you buy their favourite flowers but they aren't there to recieve them, it's their mom's birthday but you can't wish them, you're eating their favourite flavour of icecream but not with them.

It feels as though every moment that you once treasured is now forever incomplete.

You know what I learnt today? There is nothing, and i mean absolutely nothing that a good treat can't fix. Like a milkshake for instance.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

thick water is for disabled people who can’t swallow properly. stores usually have extremely limited supplies of it.

please don’t buy thick water for fun or to make slime with. it’s literally the only way some disabled people can drink anything. It’s not a fucking toy
