One thing that always weirds me out is people commenting on fics like they are literary critics? "This plot-point doesnt avance the overall storyline and is derivative" "the character's actions disregard the overarching themes". Like imagine being able to write —gratis, may I add! Nobody is paying for fanfic!! —, anything in the world but still choosing to be bound by editorial standards and nag random people in the internet about it.
