Silly Tangled Au

alright guys I will try and get some more elio sketches/drawings out by like tomorrow/tonight maybe as I'm gonna be kinda busy but I can still take my ipad places with me, low-key wish I had an apple pen now but I don't I do have my trusty stilius stylus idk how it's spelt so yeah that's legit what I used to do elios character sheet the more you know

I will try and post like a snippit/ just a text lire post of elio's reaction to andrew gutting neil with a exy racquet.

some more little info is that elio dislikes exy, he knows it's important to Neil and so he just bears it, he sits on the benches at practise but hardly pays attention to the game.

(this is like au talk rn I think so like seth lives aus talk) if seth had lived than elio would have been babysat by seth and Allison whenever the monsters went to edens if elio didn't wanna tag along (that's like nontfc talk so like probably roughly some where in trk)

onto how elio and seth found out that the kid is obsessed with mac and cheese is basically where neil went to night practise but left elio at the dorm so the boy could sleep. however obviously elio couldn't sleep and so seth had gestured for him to follow him to the kitchen and just grabbed some things from the cupboard such as {instant ramen, kraft mac and cheese(or whatever mac and cheese), cereal} elio hadn't ever had mac and cheese that wasn't from like a cheap dinnor [dinner,dinnar] so he poked at the box and seth cooked the full box {idk why} he put some in one of those plastic kid bowls {it had racoons on it} and elio tried it and got like a look of awe on his face and just started to scarf it down, seth had to like drag the bowl away so he wouldn't choke because of quickly he was eating, he then proceed to write a small note reading "your kid likes kraft mac and cheese nearly ate the whole thing, cooked full box so leftovers in the fridge" and he stuck it to the fridge with a magnet

YOUR TELLING ME THEY DONT HAVE FAS I thought they did like one of my first thoughts reading it when neil gave more info about andrew (and aaron) I was like do they FAS is this gonna be brought up and then it never was and I thought I was crazy

What are y'all's thoughts on the Twinyards having a fetal alcohol syndrome disorder?

It's not unlikely given what we know of Tilda that she drank while she was pregnant.

Plus, here are some of the symptoms that stand out to me:

Slow growth both before and after birth (could factor into their height)

Trouble getting along with others, including struggling with communication and social skills

Issues with behavior and with controlling emotions and actions.

Problems managing life skills, such as self care, managing money and staying safe

Quickly changing moods.

Idk, it's something I've thought about since I read the books but I haven't seen it discussed anywhere. I had a friend with FAS when I was growing up (who was also in the foster care system until she was adopted, incidentally) so that's what popped into my mind.

I'm obviously not an expert or even all that familiar with FAS beyond what a google search turns up and from my friend but I am really interested to hear what you all think!

the whole entire reason on how elio got his name is because of the baby bump website I use it all the time when getting names for ocs.

so uhh I just finished playing what remains of Edith finch and good god, that game deserves more l9ve its so like beautiful crafted the voice acting is amazing its like such a great game that I cat really put into words but the story is so amazing literally cried at some points

i may make it a wip in all honesty I don't know though, the whole au thing came to mind because I was watching barbie movies and I was just like wait hold on these could be some great aus for aftg.

guys guys so like silly thought but au idea so we all know barbie as the princess and the pauper right so there's two ways this au can go

obviously we have the most common that everyone thinks this au could go with Erika being Andrew and Anneliese being Aaron, which would most likely have Julian bing Katelyn and then Dominick being Neil and obviously Anneliese's mother being Nicky instead of tilda and madame carp being idk someone (idk if cass would make sense for that) don't ask me about the cats the cats could very much just be the cats in the movie just changed for the au obviously Bertie would obviously be Renee, nick and nack could be uhh raven players ig, now preminger who to have him be idk riko but that wouldn't make any sense so

the second way this au could go is Erika being Neil and Anneliese being Katelyn yes playing into the massive headcanon that she and he look alike, and I was thinking what if I was to elio be in this au and then it hit me Wolfie could be elio like instead of him being a cat he could be elio (still Neil's kid cuz oh well fuck the movie canon) Dominick would obviously be Andrew and Julian would be Aaron, the Queen would be Katlyns mother, I'm gonna have Bertie be Allison or heck maybe even seth

do you guys see where I'm going with this, like idk if this like all the other royal au things but like it'd be fun as hell to write

i always thought that too because Nathan wasn't doing anything that would have him to have to give up nathaniel as a way to get out of debt and like we know due to the ec and canon that Kevin, riko, and neil had all seen someone cut up in one of the towers at edger Allen so it's not far fetched to think that neil would have still been trained by his father in the towers and got all the other training via being perfect court because why would kendo even allow riko to break neil in the same ways he broke Kevin and jean it doesn't make sense if neil is to take after his father

okay my personal thought and assumption has always been that Neil would have had a totally different Nest experience than Kevin or Jean did. I had always assumed that he wasn’t getting sold off to the Moriyamas to repay a debt but that he was getting placed in an environment to be groomed into Nathan 2.0, for when Ichirou took over. Like the violence of the nest to train him and isolation from his parents so he had only loyalty to the Moriyamas. So that eventually when Kengo died and Ichirou took over there was a replacement for Nathan ready and (hopefully) willing to go

so the new aftg oc is Neil's younger sibling they were about 2 years old when Mary took neil and them on the run (I say about 2 because neil was 10 when he and his mom went on the run in 98 and the unnamed oc (finding names is so fucking hard) was born somewhere between 96 and 97 so yeah, so as of the start of tfc the oc would be about 9-10 and then in tkm would be about 10-11 if that makes sense to people (I'm legit reading on timelines so that this makes sense from a fic point of view and like Mary died at 38 putting neil at 17 and the oc at like 8-9 depending on what month I have this kid born, I do have a drawing already done using a base/reference from mellon_soup so I will post that after I find a name for this kid, if you lot wanna give name recs you can
