Oooh so much in this chapter! Sharon makes an appearance, we meet the Huntsman and learn more about the Prophecy, the camp is attacked (mild TW for violence I guess?) and then TONY meets the Huntsman… good times!

Steve was woken in the middle of the night by fierce whisperings at the dungeon door, a cry of surprise and a thump that sounded like a body falling down the stairs, and then a string of muttered curses before a torch flared to light and a key was forced into the cell lock. 

“My Lord, Alpha Prince.” An unfamiliar Omega rushed through the door to Steve’s side and started to undo the lock at his collar. “My name’s Sharon and I’m here to get you free. We have to hurry before we’re caught though, so you’ll have to break the other chains while I help my Auntie and Uncle.” 

“Your Auntie and Uncle?” With no collar to choke him, it was easy for Steve to gather his strength and rip the brackets right from the wall, growling in satisfaction when the links fell apart beneath the strain and he could stand to stretch. “Do you mean Ana and Jarvis?” 

“That’s exactly who she means.” Ana met him in the corridor, rubbing at her wrist where it had been shackled. “Tony wasn’t the only child we raised once the witch took over. Sharon is Peggy’s girl, almost fifteen when our Prince was born. My mate and I helped with–” 

“There’s no time for story telling, my love.” Jarvis pressed a quick kiss to his mate’s forehead and sidestepped the guard crumpled in an unconscious heap on the bottom of the dungeon stairs. “Sharon, did you have to kick him down the stairs? He’s been helping us get extra food and water, you know.” 

“Oh, I know.” Sharon re-locked the dungeon doors and pocketed the key. “But this way when he swears he doesn’t know how you all escaped, he won’t be lying. You know the witch gets about being lied to. Now hurry please, it took every last one of my wiles to lure the Alpha guard into the sitting room so I could tie him up but I don’t think the knock I gave him on the head will last long.” 

“You gagged him, didn’t you?” Ana asked as they rushed down the darkened hall. “That’s an important thing to remember when restraining someone!” 

Sharon rolled her eyes. “Of course I gagged him, Auntie. But a gag won’t last long once he gets free, and once he starts shouting there will be another guard coming along to check! I barricaded the door though, they’l have a hard time getting him free.”

Never sit at the table farthest from the front door. Your server will sometimes try to seat you there. Politely refuse and ask for another table.

If you see a table with two salt-shakers, walk past it; that table is taken. Sit at the table directly across from it instead. 

Eat your pancakes. Box any leftovers; it would be a shame to waste food. It might attract something.

Do not, under any circumstance, look into the eyes of your own reflection in the bathroom.

If your server’s eyes turn black, do not panic; order a coffee with extra cream. Do not ask for a refill. Do not stare.

Think you recognize someone who just walked in? Best to ignore it. It’s probably not what it seems. They will proceed to sit at the table farthest from the door.

If you are walking past a Denny’s and you see yourself sitting in the corner booth through the window, keep walking. Do not eat at Denny’s that night.

Did you tip? You better double check. It’s only polite to leave a tip.

Do not ask questions. They will Notice.

- i cried along with tony while reading this, the bond between tony and peter is shown really well.

- this is a trope i love as well, i completely related to peter and when tony realises what he’s feeling it’s the perfect comfort fic.

- okay this is one of the best long fics ive read, i spent about three hours straight reading this and then i read it again. amazing whump and ptsd from peter. and the reunion of sam and steve was adorable. not my favourite ship but definitely cute.

- The best parkner fic i’ve read, perfect ending and Harley’s reaction to peter leaving was A+. Then Peter comes back and its just- so adorable.

- amazing allergy whump fic. I laughed so hard when tony found out and they both finally got what they deserved. Peter’s need for comfort when he sees tony killed me.

-i cant express how well this was written, the distant feeling you know peter is feeling just kills you, and you see tony trying to comfort him as much as he can.

- One of the best coming out fics for peter, amazing in every way, especially with the display of internalised homophobia.

- I dont want to say too much about this fic but it’s so so good so please go read this. It’s amazing

- THESE SHIPS. MJ and HARLEY being BROS. Harley being a disaster gay over Peter. Oh my god this was amazing. please go read it, its so adorable.

A fic you stayed up too late to finish reading: round two- caraminha

-amazing comfort, in the time after the snap, after they got everyone back, peter has to go through the mutation again, one of the best switch ups from the normal fix-it au you see

A fic that made you feel seen: What’s In a serum?- purplestarfish  As well as Ace of hearts- @shadedrose01​

-first of all, amazing trans posativity between tony, steve and peter, and you still come out of the story loving scott.

S’just a few miles away and the Commander says us boys who live close enough to go home for Christmas can go. Want you to come with me.” “Don’t like moms.” James grunted and Steve knocked at him again. “Cut it out, Stevie. Gonna make me spill this.” “Give it here.” Stevie took the cigarette away from James and rolled it himself, quickly and efficiently. “And you do like moms, so quit lyin’ and come on.” “Stevie–” “Bucky.” Stevie glanced around to be sure they were alone, then leaned in and covered James’s mouth with his own for a long, lingering kiss. “C’mon baby. We can sleep on a real bed and be warm and dry and, you know–” a shy smile. “Almost two years we’ve been together and it’s about time my parents should meet the fella I’m gonna spend my life with, you know?” “Oh yeah?” The words came out a little hoarse, James’s annoyance of the nickname Bucky washed away by the love shining from those beautiful blue eyes. “You gonna spend your life with me, Stevie?” “So long as you don’t drag me back to Russia with you.” Steve inched closer and kissed James again. “You think you could stay around here with me? Learn to farm and all that? I’d let you chase me naked through th’corn fields and do all sortsa dirty things to me.”

James burst into startled laughter and Steve lunged forward with a kiss to shut him up. “Come home with me.” He breathed when they parted for air. “I love you, Buck, and I wanna spend this Christmas with you, with my fella. It’ll be the first of a hundred more we’ll have together.”

Tony had never even heard of Sokovia. 

It took most of the day to reach the borders of the little country and another several hours to reach the manor house Natalia told him about, and Tony spent the entire trip staring out the small window of the carriage watching the unfamiliar terrain roll by.  Sokovia.  He prided himself on being familiar with most world events, even the ones outside his corner of Italy, and he’d read about the wars taking place across the Atlantic, the former British colonies warring with anyone who looked at them twice– the Brits, the French, their own native peoples, themselves.

Howard had insisted that Tony know about the world that existed outside of Brescia so Tony had studied and read and learned all he could but in all those hours in his library and at the public forums, he had never once heard of Sokovia.  Yet another reminder that for all his knowledge, Tony knew very little in the grand scheme of things– very little about the world, very little about matters of love and heartbreak… very little about the woman who was his wife.
