All of these books are queer, but they all have back blurbs that don’t say they’re queer. While this can be a pain if I’m scouting for queer SFF, it can come in handy for people in a situation where they don’t want to be reading queer books openly. 

Please do note that I don’t have hard copies of the books on hand so it’s possible that an author quote or something mentions one being queer (I feel like this isn’t super likely, but I don’t want to rule it out). Some might also have author biographies mentioning that the author is queer. Also, some may be shelved as LGBT on Goodreads or categorized as queer on Amazon. So if you’re planning on asking for any of these as holiday gifts, I would suggest going to the Amazon page or where ever your relative is likely to buy it from and double check that it’s something you’d be comfortable with sharing openly. 

I wish I had more pansexual books, but the ones I know of tend to mention queerness in the back description. 

With the exception of The Spy with the Red Balloon, these are all books I have read or are currently reading. If you want to recommend others, feel free to do so in the replies!

Tony had never even heard of Sokovia. 

It took most of the day to reach the borders of the little country and another several hours to reach the manor house Natalia told him about, and Tony spent the entire trip staring out the small window of the carriage watching the unfamiliar terrain roll by.  Sokovia.  He prided himself on being familiar with most world events, even the ones outside his corner of Italy, and he’d read about the wars taking place across the Atlantic, the former British colonies warring with anyone who looked at them twice– the Brits, the French, their own native peoples, themselves.

Howard had insisted that Tony know about the world that existed outside of Brescia so Tony had studied and read and learned all he could but in all those hours in his library and at the public forums, he had never once heard of Sokovia.  Yet another reminder that for all his knowledge, Tony knew very little in the grand scheme of things– very little about the world, very little about matters of love and heartbreak… very little about the woman who was his wife.

Natalia cried the day James came to fetch Samuel and Ronin. Wanda didn’t cry, she didn’t tear up at all. The girl simply put together food for the packs– freshly baked bread and a mix of nuts, dried fruit, carefully wrapped pieces of dark chocolate, salted meat cut into strips– and helped Pietro roll up extra blankets to tie to the horse’s back for added protection against the winter winds. Wanda spent a few days patching up Ronin’s warmest shirt and she added to the lining of Samuel’s coat as well. Pietro sat at her feet and cut squares of thick cloth to add to the heels and toes of socks, and even though he stabbed his finger at least six different times, the boy still tried to help mending cuffs and reinforcing hems. Samuel walked Pietro through the house to point out for the hundredth time where all the weapons were hidden, all the secret doors. They walked the tunnel that led out beneath the falconers lodge until Pietro had the steps memorized, and then Samuel pulled his favorite pistol from his holster and gave it to Pietro, admonishing, “It’s up to you, son. Tony’s here too, but I’m counting on you to protect Talia and your sister, do you understand? You want to be a soldier, it starts with protecting your family.” “I understand.” Pietro said solemnly, and on the other side of the kitchen, Wanda hid her face in Ronin’s shoulder, mumbling things the archer couldn’t hear but understood all the same–words weren’t needed when the girl was shaking in his arms, shivering even though they stood close to the fire. But despite having to say goodbye to the men that had acted as Da to both twins for so many years, despite knowing that this very well might be the very last time they ever saw each other, neither Wanda nor Pietro cried. Natalia cried though, wrapped in her robe and her shawl and standing in the kitchen window, staring out across the yard, her eyes wide and face pale and lips startlingly red behind the tears that dripped down to her chin and onto her dress.

“Mr. Carbonell, I heard you punched the Mayor!”

“Miss Williams, I can assure you that I did not in any way come close to punching the Mayor.” Tony didn’t turn from the blackboard. “Not only is Mayor Thompson a leader in our community and a well respected Alpha, but even if he did deserve to be punched, violence is not the answer to disagreements, so I wouldn’t have hit him.”

“He’s lying.” A very confident Riri whispered to Mary-Anne. “Your brother told me that Mr. Carbonell put Mayor Thompson on his as–”

“I’m fairly positive you won’t be finishing that sentence, will you Miss Williams?” Tony called over his shoulder, and the girl made a zipping motion over her lips. “And I’m also sure that Harley isn’t spreading falsehoods about me containing profanity, are you Mr. Keener?”

He whipped around and sent Harley a look. “Hm?”

“Uh, no sir, Mr. Carbonell.” Harley mumbled. “Jus’ repeatin’ what I heard is all.”

“You were only repeating what you heard.” Tony corrected. “And what you heard is incorrect. In no way, shape or form, did I lay Mayor Thompson out on his fully deserving, overly arrogant, Alpha ass.”

Wanda and Pietro made it back to the hotel room first, and per the instructions put in place before the ball, Natalia and Tony arrived almost half an hour later, sweeping up the stairs to their room with smiles and quiet laughter and looking for all the world as if they’d had the time of their life at the party. Or rather, Tony was smiling and trying to laugh. Natalia was practically shaking with rage, her face pale and eyes brittle and when Tony unlocked the door to their suite, he warned through gritted teeth– “Wait until we get through the living area and into the far bedroom before you start yelling, please. We’ve made it this far, do not ruin the evening by making a scene in the hallway.” Natalia’s lips thinned to an angry line and Tony set his jaw. “Natalia–” “It irritates me that you feel the need to coach my behavior.” she hissed and Tony retorted, “Then maybe you shouldn’t have spent the carriage ride screaming and cursing in about six different languages over the staggering incompetence of your brother and the men you love!”

canon/fanon batfam meets Mom Danny! Damian.

A villain attack throws the batfam in through a portal to another dimension. they go seeking out there alternatives to find a way back home. 

One of the specific things that they needs to bring them home is to have all of Their dimensions alternates in the same place. they have to go searching for Danny/Damian. What they find is not what they expected.

Damian/Danny was put up for adoption at a very young age and was later adopted at the age of three by fentons. he was with them until he was 16 and had to cover up the aftermath of one of Vlad's plots(deaged dan and Dani) that caused him to run away.
