i'm curious
you can check which movie it was here!
pls reblog and put in the tags which movie it was :)
This is astonishing work, and the fact that it's freehand is astonishinger.
My wife and I have chosen not to have children. We have virtually no experience with babies of any sort. Yesterday, we found an abandoned week-old kitten behind our back fence. It's been less than 24 hours and we are already offering her money if she will go back to sleep.
I am so making one of these for my classroom. (I already have a single-shot version.)
The calling of bullshit is not meant as confrontational, sorry if it seemed as such. What would be another way of saying "There's no way that a professor could have an office that free of clutter!"?

Studying entomology lately. Of course, I had to include the professor’s old lab. Hope everyone is having a productive summer 🤍
Let's be clear. Mr. Gaiman is the exception, not the rule. Most professional authors are nowhere close to millionaires. I was surprised when I learned that, as a public school teacher, I earn more than most authors. Neil is coming to bat for all of those authors who will lose a substantial part of their income because of this. I agree that libraries are important, and not everyone can afford to buy books, but I can see both sides of this coin.

How to draw anything
When I was in high school, back in the late 1970's, my friends and I would take the bus home each day. We were the typical D&D nerds, with all that and the late 70's implies. We would mess around on the bus, having fun and causing irritation to the rich kids who couldn't drive to school because they were either too young or had their license revoked (There were a surprising number of the latter. )
After we messed around enough, the richies would chide us for acting oddly. They would call us names. So we ran with it. A sample:
My friends and I up to our usual nonsense. Rich kid points at me accusingly: "You're strange!"
Me, pointing to my friend: "No, I'm Weird. He's Strange!"
My friend pointing to his brother: "Yes! I'm Strange, and this is my brother Maladjusted!"
There were up to a dozen of us, all sporting odd monikers, just to further annoy the straights. We'd all introduce ourselves, and bring the level of irritation to a crescendo. It was great fun.
They really hate being called 'weird,' huh?
I’ve seen multiple people genuinely asking whats wrong with playing their music on a speaker/their phone in public rather than through headphones. While it baffles me that you can’t reason it out I’m taking it in good faith that you genuinely don’t know - so here’s a list of reasons you shouldn’t:
- It sounds bad. It doesnt matter if people like the song, you might be close enough to your phone speaker for it to sound largely as intended, but everyone else is getting a distorted mess.Â
- Unwanted noise is extra stimulation in the already overpowering public space. Yes this is particularly bad for neurodivergent people but I actually want to acknowledge that this effects Everyone. Everyone has a stimulation threshold and unwanted music easily pushes people closer to it.
- Its distracting/disruptive. People want to focus on their own conversations, listen to their own music through their earbuds, or just be alone with their thoughts. Your music is intruding.Â
- Differing taste. This one is less significant but people around you just dont always like the same music you do. In extreme cases they might actively hate a song you’re playing.Â
- People have the right to as close to silence as they can get. If they’re in a shop playing obnoxious music they can leave, they can change the radio in their car, they can skip the song on their playlist. They have no control over what you are putting on and in bus situations they can’t get away from you.Â
- Any other number of reasons; Maybe your music is offensive, maybe its uncensored and there are children about, maybe someone just got horrible news and your perky feelgood song feels like salt in the wound, maybe someone’s sick or hungover or in pain and your music feels like a drill to the skull. You might think your music is good, it might make you smile after a hard day. Nobody is saying dont listen at all, just put in earphones. To everyone around you its the equivilent of a drunk guy singing loudly and off key at the back of the bus. Maybe it makes some people smile to think he’s having a good time, maybe some people are scared his lack of boundaries will mean he could act out, maybe some people wish he would just shut up.Â
Before the internet, librarians were the gatekeeper of knowledge. For your reading pleasure, the New York Public Library released a cache of queries and conundrums called in from the 1940s to the 1980s.
