I keep seeing people use the toon me picrews to make their twst ocs and I decided to give it a try. They're not exactly how I imagine them, but I'm pretty happy considering most picrews feel very limiting.

In order: Xenio, Lumi, Desmond (two of him because I couldn't decide), Corvus, Victor, and Mallory (I haven't posted his bio yet)

Thankfully Ibis Paint was able to restore the file when my tablet crashed so I didn't lose my progress.

I used to hate trying to draw chibis because I could never figure out the proportions, but I think I need to do this more often. This was very experimental and I'm not exactly happy with it, but I'm proud because this is the first drawing that I've actually finished in a year. I have very mixed feelings about the brush I used. It looked very nice for the line art, but I also used it for the colors too and that sure was a process. I wanted to try something new so I just put the colors under the line art layer and erased the extra instead of trying to stay in the lines.

Overall this was very good practice because I need to learn to stop demanding perfection from myself and let my art be more messy than I normally allow it to be.

Does anyone have advice for improving your art? I know practice is important, but other than that I don't know much genuine advice. I've tried digital art for the past year, but I'm drawing with my finger on a not so good tablet so it's not ideal. I think that traditional art is a little easier to control since I can actually feel myself drawing. I usually draw with no plan in mind because I think my art turns out better that way, but I want to learn how to draw my favorite characters.

This WIP has been kicking my ass but I swear that I'm actually gonna finish this one
