Do you think you can do the request in which the s/o takes a bullet and gets pretty hurt. But now they take a bullet trying to save Genji?
Reviving this blog with this fic. Let’s go!!!! - Mod Meep
The place where you landed was a mess. Well, it was a warzone, you hardly expected for it to be any other way, still, Winston could’ve dropped you and your team to somewhere… not in the middle of all the explosion occurring. The smoke and debris already making it hard for you to see the scenery and look for a good cover. You remember Oasis as if it was yesterday; the entire city was a jewel among the cities you’ve been in with its unparalleled tech and architecture. Now, it’s full of wastes and broken buildings, just like any other place at war.
“What I wouldn’t give to restore this place…” you mumbled under your breath. “God, I hate Talon.”

This wasn't a request, just something I came up with on my own to start things off. :) --- You stand from afar outside of the base, watching him. Clouds covered the sky, and snow fell from above; lightly at first, then gradually more intense. It was the first snowfall of the year, and if it kept up, it might stick. For Genji, this was his first time experiencing snow in this body. He was wearing nothing but a black hoodie over his cybernetics. This wasn't an issue for him, he normally didn't wear any clothing at all. He didn't perceive heat and cold in the same way anymore. He stretched both of his arms out and flexed his hands gingerly. In his left still flesh arm; he felt what he expected. Cold particles brushing against it and turning to water on impact, a growing feeling of numbness the longer he stood there. In his right cybernetic arm however, he only felt a muted sensation. The sensors in his arm were telling his brain that something was making contact with it, but he didn't have the same sensations of wet and numbness that his left did. He kneels down and sticks his whole right hand into the layer of snow forming at the ground and keeps it there. It is only after he doesn't pull it back out again after several minutes that you finally decide to approach Genji. "How long are you going to do that for?" you ask. He finally gets up and turns to face you. He isn't surprised by your question, he knew you were watching him the entire time. "Until I feel what I should be feeling." came the matter of fact reply. "Does it help?" you ask as he flexes his cybernetic hand several more times. He scoffs, and then suddenly grabs both of your hands and takes them into his own. You flinch and recoil from the sensation, the feeling of cold is overwhelming. Just how long had he been out here for before you found him?
He rolls his eyes, as if you had just asked a question with an obvious answer. "No, it doesn't. If I was normal, I would react as you did. But I don't feel things the same way you do anymore. I don't even feel your hands on mine the same way." You look down, unsure of what to say. Genji continues. "But that's the point isn't it? I'm not meant to feel. I was rebuilt to be a weapon. The less I feel, the easier it is to do my job." "Don't... don't talk about yourself like that, please..." you beg. It wasn't the first time he had spoken of himself like that. Every time he did, you hated it. Hated how he dehumanized himself like that. "It's the truth, and every day proves that more and more." he responds coldly. He turns and begins walking away. You stand there for a moment, then chase after him and wrap your arms around him, placing your head against the back of his faceplate. The cold metal sends chills down your spine, but you hold firm. "What're you doing?!" he demanded, but didn't move to break away. You move your right arm up and begin to stroke his hair. "Can you feel that?" you ask. "... Mostly." "And how does it make you feel?" "Embarrassed." You move your left hand over his chest, attempting to feel his heartbeat. You find it. A steady rhythm that grows faster the longer you keep your hand there. "Weapons don't have hearts, Genji. They don't have emotions. You do. That's how I know you're still human inside. That's how you know you're still human." There's a silence between you two. You move your right hand back down and place it over your left, so that both hands are now over his heart area. After a while, Genji raises his left human hand puts it on top of yours. "I feel lost." he begins; "On missions, it's easy, my anger focuses me on the task at hand. But afterwards, in the quiet, I feel like I lose a part of myself every time. Like there's nothing else." You say nothing.
He turns to face you. For the first time that day, you get a good look at his eyes. Normally Genji looked angry all the time. The red tends to do that. But when you're this close, you see something more. Pain. "Some days you're the only thing that reminds me I'm still human." he finishes. "I'll be there to remind you every day if you want me to. You're as human as I am; as anybody else here is. There's more to you than killing. You just have to find it again." That kind of just came out. You felt unsure whether that was what he needed to hear, but you notice the muscles in his face relax. "Thank you." he says quietly. You respond with a smile, but you're unable to hold it for long. The biting wind causes your teeth to start chattering. You look away, and then turn back when you hear a slight chuckle. "Did you just laugh at me?" you ask playfully. "Perhaps." he responds in kind. Your face drops into a slight pout.
"Come, let's get back inside, you must be freezing." he continues. He offers you his human arm, which you take, and he gently leads you back towards warmth. There will be other bad days, you're sure of that. But for today, you feel like you legitimately made a difference to Genji. And he's grateful for it.

Can you imagine how nervous Cayde would be to see their s/o about to step into the teleporter to face off against Ghaul and he's lost a leg and a hand all he can do is wish them good luck and hope to see them again. Bonus emotional reunion when their s/o finally returns, all battered and bruised but alive regardless.
And I’m back. Replying one at a time.
You know Cayde, he doesn’t show his nervousness right in front of Ikora and Zavala. He is a nervous wreck. To himself and only himself. He won’t admit it but Ikora and his Ghost noticed it. Zavala would be worried, not has the same level as Cayde.
The love of his life is battling Ghaul. The Cabal who took their home, destroyed their loot, took the Traveler and cage it. Don’t forget their Light. No one in the City could ever forgive what Ghaul had done.
“Any words of wisdom before I have a dance with Ghaul?” You said, standing right in front of the Vex Teleporter, looking at him. Waiting for a comment or a joke. Your heart shattered when you saw that he lost his arm, leg and his cloak. You want to comfort him but at the same, need to defeat Ghaul or else this mission would be wasteful.
Cayde gave you a dry laugh. “I hate goodbyes so I’m gonna say this to ya’. See you later, alligator.”
“In awhile, crocodile.” You caught him off guard before jumping straight into the Teleporter. Cayde’s jaw would drop because he didn’t know that you know the sentence and its reply.
So the fight, it was tiring for you. You were low on ammo and thank goodness, you used all your subclasses to defeat him. All 3, just to kill Ghaul. You ignore his words, asking the Traveler to notice him and being a whiny weak Cabal who doesn’t admit defeat.
With a tired body, you and your Ghost trudged back down to the sweet solid ground where all the Cabal are killed off. Lightless Guardians are getting their Light back and are helping Hawthorne to take back the City.
“We did it, huh?” You leaning on the wall, admiring how the City has getting Cabal and more Guardians. Your Ghost was floating around you, hearing the comms, chattering here and there. You couldn’t help but smile to what your Ghost had said. “Yeah, we did it. Guardians have their Light back and our City is back to who it belongs to.”
Then, your mind decided to throw a brick at you. “Cayde!” You quickly got up from your seat and ask your Ghost to find him. Your Ghost had pinpoint his location.
When you arrive at his location which was a park. A few flowers had survived the dust and fire. Cayde was sitting on the bench, chatting with his Ghost. “They’re alive!”
He turn his head and saw you, shyly standing there and gave him a small wave. He couldn’t believe his optics. He wants to stand up and run up to you but he forget that he lost a leg. With his other arm, he motion you to come up to you.
And you did. It was a sweet reunion.
You sat next to him, where he lost his arm and leg. He leaned on your shoulder, silently thanking the Traveler that you were alright. His Ghost came up to you and gently boop your forehead. A gesture, saying thanks.
Of course, when the new Tower has been completed, you were at the bazaar, trying the ramen that Cayde always talk about. Hunters had a sense of respect to you. You were Cayde’s rock and if you were gone, he would be lost.
Can you do jealousy headcannon for Genji?
i can only crank out head canons rn bc writing one shots and drabbles is hard for me at the moment 😔

We’re starting off with Blackwatch Genji. That’s where his insecurities are far worse. This is where his jealously stems from. His new body and comparing himself to everyone around him.
New robotic body, the flesh he still has scarred. He’s doesn’t feel like himself anymore.
Angry and disgusted of himself he feels like he isn’t worthy of anyone’s affections.
You join blackwatch shortly after him. You’re energetic, bubbly, caring, and friendly. Very much the opposite of the Blackwatch members.
You start talking to him first than the others. Trying to make conversation with him. But he’s usually unresponsive. Barely giving you a second glance.
Not because he’s annoyed by you, but because he just doesn’t understand why you’d want to talk to him out of the others.
Moira isn’t much of a friendly talker, Reyes is friendly enough but all work and rarely ever playful. Now Cassidy. Cassidy is a flirt. He’d watch him interact with you from the sidelines. Throwing you pick up line after pickup line.
Yes, Genji will get jealous over time as you continue to try to be friends with him. He slowly breaks down his walls around you.
This means when he sees Cassidy flirting with you he’d get insecure. Jealous even.
Cassidy only has a robotic arm. Genji is all metal in his eyes.
He gets moody when Cassidy walks over to the two of you, starting the conversation off with a flirtatious comment directed towards you.
Then he slinks off to go train to get whatever jealousy or anger he has building up out of his system.
He will feel guilty about getting jealous. You’ve never showed signs of reciprocating the same energy back to Cassidy. But he still gets annoyed whenever he takes your attention away from him.
The jealousy that bubbles in him when Cassidy interacts with you will slowly go away when he eavesdrops overhears a conversation between you and Cassidy. Telling him to stop with the flirting.
After that he’d be a little bit cocky around Cassidy. In a way where he gets touchy with you.
Having an arm on your back, standing closer to you than normal, walking you to places, letting you touch him when you think he needs a look over, stealing you away when Cassidy and you are in the middle of a conversation.
He’s a little shit during his Blackwatch days truly.
When both Blackwatch and Overwatch get shut down and everyone reunited years later. He won’t get as easily jealous as he used to. He’s found confidence and peace in his body thanks to Zenyatta and the other monks during his healing journey.
He’s older and more mature. More playful and carefree than he was back then. And you two are an official couple.
Yes there would be the occasional random that will try to flirt with you but he doesn’t give it a second thought anymore.
You always brush them off. There isn’t a need to be jealous since you remind him everyday of your love for him.
Requested: Oh my god please, PLEASE make a small angsty one shot with cayde. The forsaken trailer killed my little small heart and brought my whole mood back down to just-curl-up-in-a-ball-and-cry town…
A/N: Okay, first of all…SAME. Second, I refused to accept this but I guess it’s time to cope with writing. And yes, reader and Cayde are married because it makes it more dramatic. (Also I don’t know that much about Forsaken so sry if it’s confusing or wrong)
Song: Listen to “I Found” by Amber Run if you want to sob with me.
The last thing you see before blacking out is Cayde-6. The battle is roaring around you, and you were finally able to take down your opponent. When you saw there were no targets to engage near you, you instinctively look for your husband. You find his flaming figure quickly, shooting down dark figures around him. A sense of pride rushes through you. A slight smile forms on your lips.
Then you feel an impact against the back of your skull, and the world goes dark.
When you come to, the world is on fire. Smoke fills your lungs. Flames dance above you. Your body feels numb, your limbs glued to the ground. Panic grips you, until you feel a tingling sensation at your fingertips. Not paralyzed, just knocked down.
You let your eyes roam around the battle scene. A darkness grips you when you see your fellow comrades lying on the ground, dead. No one is standing. Your heart seizes in your chest, wondering where Cayde is. Your field of vision doesn’t yield any results, so you summon all the energy you can to scooch your head to the side.
Your heart stops when you see your husband kneeling on the ground, his face half scorched and destroyed. A tall figured looms over him, and you can barely make out the glowing eyes behind the hood. But you can see enough to know it’s Uldren Sov.

Another kiss meme req on behalf of my husband - #3 a kiss goodbye for Colonel from Cayde please
"We've been through a lot together, you and me," Cayde says. "The Red War... I remember the Farm. When spirits were low, there you were, always ready to offer some comfort. When things got bleak... you were just fearless. Ready to get on with life. Absolute inspiration." He sighs, thinking back to those days. The Vanguard, all of them, hiding out in the EDZ. They'd been lost without the Light. It really put things in perspective, realising that this must be how the Lightless must feel all the time – helpless, mortal... and still fighting despite it. Going from near-immortal with what amounts to magic powers, to realising that if you die this time... that's it. Game over. Gone bust. Well, at least he's had practice with it this time. He ain't planning on finding out what happens if he dies again. No Sundance to bring him back. Maybe he'll just dissolve into the ambient Light of the pale heart. Maybe he'll be reunited with his girl. Maybe he'll just end up screaming along with the Traveller as the Witness tears it apart. Maybe nothing will happen at all. He turns his attention back to the matter at hand. "And when we retook the City... you were so brave. You didn't have to fight with us. Could have stayed safe at the Farm. But there you were right next to us. I'll never forget it." Adrenaline driving out fear, pushing his body to limits that he hadn't realised existed. And that final glorious rush of Light, like the first breath after resurrection... Is it selfish to be glad it returned when so many people had died? Good people... people who only ever had one life and wouldn't get another chance. Guardians who didn't live long enough to see it return. "I was selfish, I think, when I went to the Prison," he admits, hoping for understanding. "Being cooped up for years wasn't an excuse. Andal would... Andal would get it. And then tear me to shreds for being a dumbass and throwing my life away." Andal had always dealt with things better than he had. Cayde almost wishes he was here now. He doesn't – no-one should be here facing what they are. The end of... of everything... "I don't know what's gonna happen. Big fight coming up. Higher stakes than anything we've faced. No pressure or anything," he adds. "I don't know how its gonna pan out. If we lose... we lose everything, and if we win... I don't know. I don't know if I'll be coming back either way. But I wanted to make sure I didn't make the same mistake this time." He's not gonna bank on surviving and leave without saying anything. Not this time. "So that's why I'm here." The chicken in his lap clucks in confusion. He isn't actually sure if chickens can sound anything but confused honestly. He leans down to kiss the top of the Colonel's feathery head. "You be good for Saint, okay? Keep the New Lights in line. Ikora and Zavala are gonna be counting on you." The Colonel ruffles her feathers and snuggles down in his lap more comfortably and then... yep, she's fallen asleep. "Y'know, you're gonna make me late. I don't think I'm allowed to be late to the potential end of... everything." The Colonel, being a chicken with little concept of existence, let alone the end of it, makes a peeping noise as she sleeps, and otherwise does not respond.
Fluff for my man Genji ❤️❤️❤️
(This is post Blackwatch Genji, bc I've written fluff for that Genji twice man)
For someone so badass, he can also be kind of needy
Genji is kind of like a cat, where he'll just get extra close to you and when you run your hands through his hair, the whirring of the machinery in his body makes a purr sound
So, he's basically cybernetic cat ninja?
Very cuddly, though it will take some reassuring since he thinks his body isn't viable for affection since it is mostly made from carbon fiber.
He is very wrong, it's smooth and glossy and can heat up or cool down which let me tell you now anon is super nice.
Genji, while he won't admit it, is still a gamer at heart.
Gaming nights where he'll sit on the floor with you in his lap
He used to play competitively in arcades, but he found that with you he prefers to play games where you two works as a team or just enjoy each other's company
If you don't play games, he'd still like you to join him and watch as he plays a story-based game like Witcher 3 or Dragon age
He enjoys music A LOT
You took Lucio's suggestion and asked Genji to hook up his suit to change color to the beat of the music
He loves nothing more than to goof around doing silly dance moves with his RGB suit going off
We all know, no matter how much you love Genji, he can't dance for shit. His dance emote says it all.
If it's movie night? You know he cries his ass off at Titanic
He can't sing either, but he'll clear the feels out of the air by singing Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On"
It's horribly out of tune, but also just utterly charming that Genji's even trying.
As a nighttime routine, he has to plug himself in to a massive industrial charger on his side of the bed forcing him to lay on his back. (Not without giving you goodnight hugs and kisses)
While Genji can't move, you however, still can.
You can lay on his chest or hold his hand, his body heating up the bed and if you fear the dark, he's a ninja nightlight to chase the shadows.
A/N: While I hate playing against him, he is cute to write.

Arrivederci alla prossima puntata 😘
I’m like trying to find all the hazard interactions and I really wasn’t expecting him to be that soft, empathetic, funny, sarcastic and throwing shade at the overwatch agents
And I’m actually really happy they didn’t give him that extremely cocky personality and gave him a really lovable personality and I quite enjoy that for him
I've been having a rough day but I'm so grateful for this character!! 🥺 💗
