"Dear diary,

This is my first time writing something so...I hope it works.

It has been years that I'm feeling unlucky, hopeless, not happy with my own self in many ways. I've veing fighting against every demon inside for ages, the way everyone's says for me to do it. I'm trying and why can no one notice?

My only escape from this feeling is, sometimes movies, series, video games and the most important...my boyfriend. I mean, we're not in a official relationship, but he practically live in my house and we sleep together, we cook together, do everything together and he's the only one who listen to every single word I say. I can see in his eyes... He's the one. Hanzo Shimada, my love, my light in the dark.

Everyone knows him as the grumpy old Shimada brother; but he's so much more than that! He pass trought so much pain to became who he is now and I'm with him on this road until my last breath. He saved me and I saved him.

Hanzo is out of town, again. Since he get accepted on Overwatch thanks to his brother, Genji, he's barely stay home. Missions and more missions; he's so important for the hope of every people on earth, I know, but...I miss him so much. I get so worried when he call me saying that Overwatch will have a mission against Talon...Only God knows what they could do with him, but I trust Jack Morrison with my soul to protect them.

And right now...I'm not feeling very well...

Hanzo...I need you save, my love."

You were home all alone, completely worry after Hanzo send you a message saying a bunch of stuff of the new mission against Talon, again. Your heart dropped in the moment you read about it.

"Hi, sweety, how are you doing? I hope you're fine...really, I miss you so much. I'm here to update you from our new and last mission, is been almost 3 months without seeing you, so... I'm kind a mess right now, is hard to focus.Talon is showing up again, so Jack is sending me, Genji, Soujorn and others to try to make them surrender on their own base, that actually we just find out a new one here in China. Is being months, honey... I barely called you. Hope you fine and I'm so sorry...I'll be back soon. I love you with my body and soul."

That was his last massage, weeks ago. You were scared, thinking about the worse and after reading the message again you felt a little of anguishing. Hanzo said to you; "If I disappear, don't worry, ok? I'll be only too busy to send some updates. Jack Morrison rules. Work first, women after and if something happened to me, they'll warn you". He never agreed with this, but, if a rules is given to Hanzo, he'll obey.

Well, Overwatch didn't call you, so...he's fine, right? Right.

You were working at your laptop, block the phone and tried to come back to your work and let a single tear fall from your eye. Wasn't enough, you notice that you would start crying out because of the worriers and stress, but once you always start crying, you don't stop. You try to focus, but the hiccups came and you breakdown on tears. Nonstop, out of nowhere. 2 minutes ago you were "fine"; Hanzo always ask you if you're fine, he knows you better than yourself. One of thr things he's the most scared of, is let you crying all alone... and that happened.

You turn off the computer and goes to the sofa crying out, scared about the situation and all alone. No one to hug you and help control your breath. Starts to talk with yourself, cursing every single second of shit that happens in your life, remembering things of the past and bringing back again. You could not control your body and thoughts.

You tried to control your breath and calm down, but was literally impossible! Is like your body needs that! To put everything out! But this is not so good, not now...All alone!

You cried, cried and cried, laying down on the sofa and hugging a pillow. What could you do? Absolutely nothing.

After one hour crying, you starts to settle down a little, pick up some papers and go back to the sofa still cursing everything and crying, now, in anger.

You could hear keys opening the door and you could only thing "Right now? Really?"...well, you could also see that as a miracle. Hanzo is home and you could hear his warm voice trought the house.

- Baby! I'm home! - He walks until the tv room where he saw you sat with red eyes, swollen face and blowing the nose like a elephant. The skile on his face became almost panic - Honey...what's wrong?

- I'm so sorry...! - You starts to cry again feeling guilty. Almost 3 months without seeing him and you welcome him like that?

- Hey! No no...! - He ran to the sofa sitting in front of you. - Hey, kawaii...What's wrong, uh? Tell me, sweety.

His voice were sweet, low and completely comfortable as always, even his accent dissapeared a little when he speak like that, became more...American british? Not a strong japanese accent.

He hold your face kissing your forehead, then looking at your eyes.

- Something happened? You can tell me, you know that.

- I'm...! I'm just tired...! I'm exhausted about everything, you know?! And...! And I was worried and now I'm thinking how suck I'm at everything! Looks like something put a fucking spell! A fucking dark cloud in my fucking head! Everything is just wrong...!

- Breath, y/n... -He holds your hand tightly. - You're out of control...Tell me...what happened first?

You stopped for a moment and looked at him in tears.

- I...! I was scared...! I read your last massage again!

- The Talon one? But hey...- He smiled getting up and sitting behind you. - I'm here...Is everything ok, sweety.

- Is not only you...! I feel so...so nothing! Like if a don't belong here.. ! I don't have friends, even my colleagues don't like me!

- No, baby, that's not true! - He hugged you tight kissing your neck - Why you think that?

- They always goes out together and never invites me...! Oh, baby, I'm so sorry...! - You hide your face in your hands - you must be so tired and I'm filing your head with shit!

- Y/n... -He called you with his chin on your shoulder. - I'm here because of you. I want to be here, it was my choice to sit here to listen to your "shits"

Hanzo hugs you tightly giving little pecks on your neck and shoulder.

- I'm a different man because of you and I must retribute everything, and because I want to...I love you, y/n. I won't and i can't promise that everything will soon be fine, the world is not helping us, but...I'm here. If you need me, your friend, your boyfriend, your partner...you ninja. - Both laughed. - Call me.

- But Jack doesn't let you use the phone before work.

- If I explain to him that you'll call in emergency times, he'll understand and...for you? I can break all the rules if it is necessary.

You felt butterflies in you stomach and Hanzo tells you for turn around a little bit; holding your legs under his arm and the tattoed one behind your back, holding you in a bride position while sitting on the sofa. He kissed your face everywhere making you laugh and calm down for good. He was the only one that could do that.

- I won't leave you like that...never. I came home a little earlier actually,I felt something...I swear. - He couldn't stop looking at you while talking. - I felt that you needed me, so I finished everything earlier and came.

- Your spirits told you? - You laughed a little feeling a headache. - You told me once that they're became also connected with me after... well...

- At the first time? - He smiled and you nodded. - That's true...I felt my arm shivering a little. So, sweetie...you see? You're part of me too. What you feel I can feel, not completely, but if you're in danger, I'll know.

You smiled laying your head on his chest feeling his heartbeat that made you fall asleep right there. Well...like I said, he's the one.

Hanzo picks you up and walks to the bedroom laying you down and then laying next to you, making caring on your face watching you in a deep sleep.

After Hanzo also fall asleep next to you, his phone starts to ring and he pick it up feeling a little lost.

- Moshi...? - Take a deep breath scratching his sleepy eyes.

- Hanzo? Is Jack Morrison, are you at home?

- Yes, sir... something happened? - Now he looked worry.

- Well, not really... but Genji is having his arm fixed so, there's no one to take care of the base. I need to leave in 1 hour to a reunion with generals and well, wanna see if you're free to come back and take care of the base, I'm kind worry with Reyes, he may try to do something.

While captain Morrison was talking, Hanzo could only look at you and take a deep breath before answer.

- Captain...Sir, I'm sorry but I can't.

- Oh, really? - Jack sounded surprised.- Normally you always say yes, but...something happened?

- I...I need time with y/n, sir.

- Ooh yeah! Of course! - Starting coughing in nervousness.- I forgot about your relationship with her, I apologize, soldier. No worries, I can call Cassidy or maybe Baptiste, someone has to be able to come back.

- I'll send a message to them, captain, they'll help for sure.

- Copy that, soldier...See ya and... good lucky with the girl...she's good for you, fella. You should have asked her hand already.

- Yes...- Hanzo laughed looking at you. - I will, captain...I'm ready for that.

I've done one of these before with a different set of words, but got a fresh batch and it's a fun easy way to showcase writing.

My words were: refuse, deep, kiss and beach.

Refuse

V hesitated. “And if I refuse?” Jenkins tilted his head at the hint of insubordination. “This isn’t a request V. And take this.” He pulled a stack of paper eddies out of another case and set it on the table. “Use this money only, find the right people for the job - no corporate affiliation. And for the core task use someone you know. Inside and out. Are we clear?” “Crystal.” She reached down and pocketed the stack of eddies.“In that case, I’ll await your report. My AV is waiting outside, it’s yours to use. Don’t disappoint me.” V turned and quickly left the office. Jenkins started another holo call as she passed through the doors. She almost ran down the hallway. Fingers shaking, her heart was going to explode out of her chest, and everything around her was moving too slow. She wrenched her desk drawer open and relief washed over her as she took a hit of the neuro stim. She eased herself down into her chair and leaned her head back at the ceiling, with the neuro stim she could finally think clearly.

Deep

She turned around. The man was taller than Jackie by a few inches. His shaved scalp and last-gen military grade cybernetic eye cut an intimidating figure. V guessed he was probably a detective but, with the faux fur lined coat and the one earring, she couldn’t make up her mind if he resembled a pimp or a pirate more. He was tan and broad shouldered, muscles hidden underneath his coat. V noticed the cybernetic hand and decided on pirate. Toss in a hat and a hook. She might consider him decent looking if he didn’t have such a deep scowl marring his features. V blinked, that hit to the head was talking awfully loud.

Kiss

Warm lips caught River by the corner of his mouth, spanning the scant space in between them. He angled his head toward her to correct course and meet her fully. Tentative. Questioning. V leaned into the kiss, hands coming up to cup his jaw, asking for more. Slender fingers traced heavy down his neck, stumbling over the sleeves of his coat on their journey. Cool glossy fingertips tempered his heated skin, running over his chest and along the muscles of his arms. Breath mingled as River bent forward and kissed V back, sharp edges yielding to softness. Too close, too far. It wasn’t enough. River looped one of his massive arms around V’s waist, coat and all, to draw her closer.

Beach

River unlocked the door to his apartment and leaned heavily against the doorframe once inside. He stared blankly out the tiny sliver of a window he had, a small glimpse of the ocean in the distance. River wouldn’t call it beach front property, but it was a damn sight nicer than some of the other places he’d lived. He heaved a sigh. There were no cockroaches waiting for him at the door. Shucking off his boots, he hung up his coat and secured his revolver, before making his way to the shower. The hot water did okay at washing away his afternoon but did little to erase the events of the past week. He ran his hands over his face, deciding the stubble was a problem for tomorrow. Toweling off and throwing on a pair of sweatpants, he fell face first into his mattress like a sack of bricks.

Gone

Requested: Oh my god please, PLEASE make a small angsty one shot with cayde. The forsaken trailer killed my little small heart and brought my whole mood back down to just-curl-up-in-a-ball-and-cry town…

A/N: Okay, first of all…SAME. Second, I refused to accept this but I guess it’s time to cope with writing. And yes, reader and Cayde are married because it makes it more dramatic. (Also I don’t know that much about Forsaken so sry if it’s confusing or wrong)

Song: Listen to “I Found” by Amber Run if you want to sob with me. 

The last thing you see before blacking out is Cayde-6. The battle is roaring around you, and you were finally able to take down your opponent. When you saw there were no targets to engage near you, you instinctively look for your husband. You find his flaming figure quickly, shooting down dark figures around him. A sense of pride rushes through you. A slight smile forms on your lips.

Then you feel an impact against the back of your skull, and the world goes dark.

When you come to, the world is on fire. Smoke fills your lungs. Flames dance above you. Your body feels numb, your limbs glued to the ground. Panic grips you, until you feel a tingling sensation at your fingertips. Not paralyzed, just knocked down.

You let your eyes roam around the battle scene. A darkness grips you when you see your fellow comrades lying on the ground, dead. No one is standing. Your heart seizes in your chest, wondering where Cayde is. Your field of vision doesn’t yield any results, so you summon all the energy you can to scooch your head to the side.

Your heart stops when you see your husband kneeling on the ground, his face half scorched and destroyed. A tall figured looms over him, and you can barely make out the glowing eyes behind the hood. But you can see enough to know it’s Uldren Sov.

My own Knuckles the Echidna headcanons! ❤️

• He only has a small handful of blurry memories of this parents; with those he can guess that he got his strength from his father. Sadly, he doesn’t remember how they passed.

• Underneath his big gloves are actually white claws. Every male echidna had these, hence having to wear those type of gloves, while the females had regular hands.

• Knuckles considers Sonic as his competitive younger brother and the two go out of their way to take on any bet they throw at each other.

• We know that he really loves grapes, but the purples ones are his favourite.

• Having to feed himself since his youth, Knuckles grew into a fine chef. From only using fruits from Angel Island, to savoury and spices given to him by his friends. They love his cooking.

• There is only one whom can be equal to Knuckles’ strength within an arm wrestling match - Big the Cat!

• Being isolated for so long has caused him to be a little shy around girls; especially Rouge after the Ark incident. She began acting all flirty with him and he doesn’t know how to react.

• How was Knuckles able to travel with his friends without worrying about the Master Emerald? He asked Tails to build a survalience system to keep an eye on it briefly.

The flower Sonic gives Amy has a deep meaning, because the lavender rose represents joy, royalty and love at first sight. You can give lavender roses as a sign of love at first sight for another person. To give a lavender rose is to say “I was seduced at first sight”, “You inspire noble and deep feelings in me”😍.

Florence Castle's HEROES OF CYBERTRON - Ep. 04: DREADWING

PUNTATA 4: DREADWING, nemico freddo come il ghiaccio

C’era una volta un freddo, gelido spadaccino che viveva in un sontuoso castello di cristallo. Guerriero combattuto, soleva meditare per vendicarsi del defunto fratello gemello, o per dargli una degna sepoltura o strapparlo dall’Oltretomba nonostante fosse ormai mutato in uno zombi. Sembra l’incipit di una fiaba fantasy ma in realtà è solo una delle numerose incarnazioni di uno dei Decepticon più carismatici della generazione moderna dei Transformers, anche se dovremo analizzare il soggetto in questione sotto un’altra ottica.

DREADWING (letteralmente “Ala del Terrore”) nasce, infatti, come la combinazione degli altmode di due Powermaster G1 del lontano 1988, Darkwing e Dreadwind. Poi questo nome è stato riciclato per indicare altri Decepticon nelle iterazioni TF più moderne, Movie-verso e Continuity Allineata in primis, senza alcun collegamento diretto con l’antenato originale. Di quest’ultimo, sappiamo solo che è composto da due Decepticon mercenari, il cui scopo di esistere è seminare terrore ovunque li porti il vento, salvo ritrovarsi sul pianeta Nebulos dove stringono un legame binario rispettivamente con lo scienziato pazzo Hi-Test e il ladruncolo Throttle: grazie alla nuova tecnologia Powermaster, i due Nebulani divengono così i loro motori, fornendo loro energia grazie ad una modifica del legame binario.

Oltre la G1 c’è un bel buco, dove il Decepticon ha collezionato solo comparse sparse un po’ in tutto il brand, come lo “pseudo-Combiner” della serie Robots in Disguise (2001) o il clone di Mirage in Energon della Trilogia Unicron, ma Dreadwing è diventato subito popolare in altre iterazioni. Nel Movie-verso, infatti, egli altro non è che il capitano di una squadra di cloni Seeker nella miniserie a fumetti Il Regno di Starscream, ambientato tra il primo e il secondo film... e questa caratteristica di “capo dei Seeker” verrà ereditata dalla controparte Prime nella Continuity Allineata, oltreché a uno schema di colori relativamente simili, cioè sui toni del blu e del nero, con inediti tocchi di oro e argento. In questo caso, gli sceneggiatori ci regalano non uno ma due Seeker uguali come due gocce d’acqua, descritti letteralmente come fratelli gemelli e retroattivamente come delle figure tragiche ma al tempo stesso fedelissime alla causa di Megatron, forse i pochi sottoposti ciecamente fedeli al Comandante stesso. Eppure il trucco c’è: uno è verde e si chiama Skyquakee l’altro è blu... il nostro Dreadwing, appunto! Entrambi sono apparsi nella sesta puntata rispettivamente nella prima (Maestri e Allievi) e nella seconda stagione (Cannone Sciolto), anche se il Seeker blu ha avuto più “screen-time” di suo fratello, quindi ci concentreremo su di lui.

Il Dreadwing della serie Prime è speciale fin dal doppiatore americano, Tony Todd, lo stesso del Caduto nel secondo film di Michael Bay, ma noi lo conosciamo con la voce di Giorgio Bonino, noto ai più per aver doppiato – tra gli altri – Animated Blitzwing. In secondo luogo, la sua caratterizzazione è tale che all’apparenza fa di lui un personaggio poco nelle corde di un Decepticon... anzi, non possiamo neanche definirlo malvagio, ma solo uno sfortunato antieroe stoico e meditativo munito di un rigidissimo codice d’onore quasi come fosse il “pronipote” del compianto e indimenticabile Beast Wars Dinobot (di cui ci occuperemo in una puntata futura). Sempre da Biocombat deriva il suo design generale molto reminiscente a Depth Charge, col quale condivide addirittura la combinazione casco blu/viso dorato/occhi rossi. Infine, a rendere Dreadwing un personaggio amatissimo dal pubblico è lo stile da samurai nella forma della testa, il fatto di essere equipaggiato con una spada e, ovviamente, una storia di redenzione alle spalle, alla stessa stregua di una fiaba fantasy.

Essendo un personaggio relativamente poco conosciuto, i modelli di Dreadwing si contano sulle dita di una mano, e per comodità indicheremo tutti quelli che portano questo nome. Il capostipite è ovviamente il jet formato dai due G1 Powermaster Dreadwind e Darkwing del 1988, la cui gimmik di combinarsi in altmode era all’epoca una novità a dir poco geniale. Nel 1994 il personaggio viene riproposto nella G2, e anche se il modellino originale non era un granché, le rivisitazioni moderne per la linea Transformers 2010 (un remold del Voyager Mindwipe della linea Revenge of the Fallen, disponibile esclusivamente al Tokyo Toy Show di quell’anno) e il Deluxe della linea celebrativa Generations Thrilling 30 del 2014 sono delle rappresentazioni moderne del Dreadwing “classico” più che accettabili! Se però dobbiamo per forza ricercare un modello che omaggi il duo Powermaster originale senza snaturarlo, bisogna allora menzionare i Deluxe della linea Power of the Prime (2017/18), anche se purtroppo sono solo dei remold di due Aerialbot della precedente Combiner Force (Air Raid per Darkwing e Skydive per Dreadwind).

Per quanto riguarda i modellini degli anni Duemila, solo quello di classe Megadella linea Energon può essere considerata una buona rappresentazione del Decepticon, anche se purtroppo l’action figure in sé era solo un mero remold di Mirage. Uno stampo tutto nuovo, invece, era il Deluxe della linea del primo film di Michael Bay, in cui lo vediamo come un Decepticon monocolo con l’altmode di MiG-29 Fulcrum, molto somigliante ai droni Seeker apparsi nel videogioco ufficiale del film. A completare la collezione è la triade di Dreadwing rilasciati per la linea Prime, rispettivamente un modellino buono, ottimo e mediocre: un Cyberverse Commander bello compatto in seguito ricolorato per fare Skyquake; un possente Voyager munito di una ridicola arma a LED, anch’esso in seguito riscolpito con le fattezze del fratello gemello verde; e infine un Deluxe per la sotto-linea Beast Hunters con un assetto più vicino ad una bestia che un robot umanoide, il cui stampo sarà riutilizzato per il Dreadwing della serie Takara Adventure, ossia l’edizione giapponese di Robots in Disguise (2015). Dal momento che la stagione 3 di Prime non è stata importata nel paese del Sol Levante, questo modellino potrebbe essere considerato come un erede spirituale per il nostro glorioso Decepticon, il cui ricordo sarà sempre vivo nelle nostre Scintille.

CONCLUSIONE

Questa storia di redenzione, onore e misticità mi costringe a paragonare Dreadwing e Skyquake – almeno in linea teorica – alla leggenda greca dei Dioscuri Castore e Polluce. Là dove il primo muore fatalmente in una battuta di caccia e il secondo prega il padre Zeus di cedere metà della propria immortalità affinché i due possano vivere alternativamente sull’Olimpo e nell’Oltretomba senza mai separarsi, qui invece la caccia di Dreadwing tanto del corpo del fratello quanto del suo assassino avviene risoluta e senza mai perdere la calma… salvo infine inalberarsi e sfogare il proprio dolore in un grido nella notte temporalesca in cui viaggia la Nemesi di Megatron. È una storia bellissima e commovente al pari dell’antenato Dinobot, e gli antieroi tragici hanno sempre suscitato un certo fascino in me. Indubbiamente uno dei personaggi più sfaccettati di tutta la serie Prime!
