I think that was the moment
my heart stopped hurting.
because you planned to.

you looked at me like i wasn’t broken.
like i was someone
who deserved to be detained.
to be viewed.
i've taken so much from people.
their faces
their blood
their lives.

with one stupid, beautiful smile.
and when your heart failed,
