A cry for help from Gaza
My name is Salem, I am 26 years old. I am married to Hadeel, she is 25 years old, and we have two beautiful children: Laila (5 years old) and Bakr (five months old). We live in the northern part of Gaza.
Laila and Bakr are my heartbeat, the light of my life, and my everything.
The horrific story of the recent war in Gaza
Since the beginning of the last war in Gaza, our home has been completely destroyed, forcing us to be displaced. We had to move more than 10 times to find safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced extreme hunger and malnutrition that almost claimed the lives of me and my children. In addition, we have been exposed to many serious infectious diseases and epidemics.
Before: This is our homeland, our dream, and our promising future.
Unbearable hardships
Every day I have to travel long distances just to get water, and stand in lines for hours to get food. My children's mental health deteriorated due to the war, their education was interrupted, and they suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.
After: This is our house, built with our sweat and effort, and it was completely destroyed.
The right to a peaceful life
My children deserve to live a peaceful life free of fear and anxiety. I dream of your help to support my family and escape this genocide. Your help means the world to me and my children.
The cost of arranging travel for an adult outside Gaza currently varies
Between $5,000 and $7,000, and $2,500 for each child, in addition to a cost of living of $500 per month.
How can you help?
Your donations can be a beacon of hope for us. Every dollar can help save my children's lives and give them a chance to live in peace. Your prayers for us to overcome this ordeal and lift the siege are greatly needed
Laila: My beloved, the closest to my heart, and my little one.
Bakr: My child who came during this horrific war.
Donate now and help us get to safety
May God reward you greatly for your generosity.
Background on the Gaza war
The war in Gaza has left hundreds of thousands of victims, destroyed infrastructure, and left many homeless. The humanitarian situation in the region has reached critical levels, with severe shortages of basic necessities such as food, water and health care. Children are the most affected, as they have lost their sense of security, education and normal life.
Your support is our hope
Your donation is the light that can guide us towards a better future. Don't miss the chance to be part of a story that saves a family suffering from unimaginable hardships.
Donate now and make hope possible
Thank you for your support and kindness.
My gratitude

fiddleford post once again
I know that I ended it, but
Why won't you chase after me?
You know me better than I do
So why didn't you stop me?
I am Ahmed from Gaza, 26 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to support my family of 7: me, my father, my mother and my sisters, in our miserable circumstances, which we live in after the occupation launched the war on Gaza. We were displaced from our home and it was completely destroyed. We are now living in shelters. Due to the circumstances and low income, we are unable to provide the necessary benefits such as food and drink due to the crazy increase in prices. Thus, my source of livelihood has been destroyed, but it has been completely destroyed, as we are no longer entitled to work; and we expect to live in miserable conditions in the shelters. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in the shelters; without food, medicine or clean drinking water; with the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts and daily shocks caused by everything around us and the inability to care for our loved ones. The fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us.
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my father and mother, by getting us out of Gaza to Egypt and building a new life outside Gaza or helping us get money to buy the necessities that we may be able to afford. Asking for help is not easy, but we had no choice because we want to survive and strive to rebuild our shattered lives. We are very grateful for any help you can offer, no matter how small, as your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.”

I usually never post my take on these things because I am a woman and have been harassed by men in the past (literally show me one woman who hasn't) but this time I will because I love this fandom. Tumblr is my safe space, Good Omens is my comfort show. My whole blog is dedicated to it. I'm sure a lot of people feel this way as well. No matter who Neil Gaiman is, or how nice he's always been on Tumblr/interviews, I always believe the victims because unfortunately it's almost never false accusations, and almost always true, specially with famous people. However in this case, I find the website/podcast to be very shady and hope more information from reputable sources will come out, like regular news websites, specially some way to support the victims.
REGARDLESS OF ALL OF THAT
You crying and being upset because you feel guilty for loving Good Omens is not gonna help the victims.
You reblogging posts and talking about your favourite shows is not gonna harm the victims.
Posting about good omens is not gonna help the victims, sure. But it's not gonna benefit Neil in anyway either. What's gonna harm and/or benefit them is what the authorities choose to do about it and they don't act based upon Tumblr posts.
I understand wanting to stop buying his books or giving him money indirectly, that makes sense. But the shows you love weren't made by just him. We have thousands of people in the cast, crews, behind the scenes, etc. So in my opinion, it is FINE to keep watching the shows wherever you usually watch them and being a fan of those people. (I don't have any subscriptions myself, it's always been a pirate's life for me)
Are you saying we should separate the art from the artist?
Yes, because in this case it's not only books, paintings, statues, etc. but shows that involve thousands of people who have nothing to do with this situation. This is my opinion that I wanted to share with the fandom.
Please try to be respectful and kind to one another in this amazing fandom. Let's support each other through this and not attack each other. All we can do is wait for now, and posting hate directed at each other is not gonna benefit anyone in this situation. I love all of you and please feel free to DM me if you need someone to talk. ❤️
