Another fawn! Had to keep the dogs in the yard. Notice the ugly armadillo ‘excluder’ we put up under the fence as the rascals were tearing up the yard.
350 cows calving and the only one I am overly concerned about is the nurse cow!
Beautiful milk cow in South Texas! Actually she is a nurse cow for any 'orphan' calves. Angus cattle have twins. Often! Mastitis sometimes, but rarely, will take the milk of a mama so her calf goes to Elsie, shown above. She is a pill but we love her.
Mistakes happen. This girl was bred a bit young and we kept an eye on her til she dropped a calf with no birthing problems. I'm proud of her. 3/5/19
Its so beautiful on the ranch where I live and work! Love south Texas!
Its hot out! Barn swallows uh... in the barn! They are welcome!
Well my day didn't turn out as expected so I went walking and found these in the pasture.
Mostly photos of my life in South Texas. I share what I love. The Outdoors and Ranch Life.
