Ino suggested that they make 'a grave' for Shin since he didn't have one. A place where they can visit him anytime and tell him about their days. Sai is really on board with the idea. So together, they make 'a grave' for Shin under the cherry blossom tree. A place where Sai sure Shin would have liked.
i was looking through official art again and why does this look like watanuki is the patron saint of nonbinaryism in some ancient religious fresco
Before I saw this trailer I had actually no idea what The Summer Hikaru Died was about. I knew people had been talking about how it was really well-written, I knew it had queer rep, and purely based on the title I suspected it might be a tragedy. I didn't expect the quiet horror laying the foundation for a really compelling (terrifying?) romance.
Y'all, I am beyond excited for this series now. The sound design, the animation style, the fact that there are so few anime titles that are true horror. If the whole series adaptation is as well-done as the trailer looks this is going to be one to remember.
night time talk
Still, thinking about last Friday when my psychiatrist casually brought up the fact that I'm autistic... which was fucking news to me! Five whole years together and NOW you tell me?
.... found out a few minutes later that she thought I already knew 🙈
I guess it’s ok 🤷🏻♀️ It gets the job done. Would have gone with something more gender neutral. But… nah, I dislike change anyway 😅
ok hold on
Imagine an AU where everyone saw in black & white until they met their soulmate, then they saw colors for the first time.
Cue Dazai being kicked into a wall & upon opening his eyes the first colors he sees are within flaming red hair & piercing bright blue eyes. A green jacket hugging the kids figure as his foot remains planted on Dazai’s chest.
Chuuya sees stark white bandages across one eye and beneath an ill fitting white dress shirt. Dark chocolate colored locks. One honey brown iris with flecks of maroon shining in the sunlight. A black coat lying beneath him.
They both freeze for a moment, staring intently at each other, eyes blowing wide at colors they've never seen before.
Then they make eye contact, holding it for one beat, then two.
Then slowly it dawns on them what this means and, of course, their expressions move from awe to irritation. They bicker immediately, neither of them willing to give into fate.
Chuuya scoffs. "Oh fuck no, no way my *soulmate* is some shitty kid from the fucking mafia."
"How eloquent. As if such a tiny, brutish *slug* could ever be *my* soulmate." Dazai mocks in return.
Bonus points if the colors fade when they’re not together, until they accept they’re soulmates that is.
“No! No! You don’t understand! Nakahara was N - the scientist!” I say, the words pedantic and forgotten in the wind, the same way Frankenstein wasn’t the monster but the scientist has been for centuries now.
Oh we’re going there for real! Yoshiki being attached to ‘HIKARU’ because he sees himself in him, identifying with the label “monster” because of his alienation and internalized homophobia from growing up queer in a rural village……!!!
