I forget that asexuality has been severely misrepresented and that a lot of people don’t actually know what it is as a result so here is an overview of what asexuality is, what it’s not, and how acephobic is represented. there is so much more to asexuality than just this. I didn’t even mention the medicalization of asexuality! 

I highly rec scretspiderlady on Twitter because she writes a lot about the ace experience and has many comprehensive threads. EDIT: I updated the slide that refers to asexuality as “aspec” to “acespec.” The term aspec refers to the a community as a whole – both asexuals and aromantics – while acespec refers to the asexual spectrum and arospec referes to the aromantic spectrum. You can see this mirrored in the terms acephobia (experienced by aces), arophobia (experienced by aros), and aphobia (experienced by both aces and aros). Patton as Deceit - Cheshire Cat motif and grin, but also cat eyes. He looks so approachable and his words are like honey and poison, always insisting that you need to lie because you can’t hurt your friends feelings, that would be super cruel!

Logan as Anxiety - exhausted but never able to sleep because you have to get things DONE OR YOU MIGHT FAIL AND WE CAN’T COPE WITH THAT?!?!! Super socially anxious. Tie is always undone slightly.

Virgil as Morality - super cautious about all the feelings because he has to protect Thomas’s heart. He insists that he be cautious around everyone because he can’t stand the idea that Thomas might get hurt. Heart patches on hoodie.

Roman as Logic - dapper and the glasses are only because he insists they make him look smarter. In his mind Thomas must push for his dreams for they hold new insights, and try new and exploratory things! It’s logical to chase your passions after all, and healthy too! Always make time for the things that make you happy and always strive to learn all that you can, right?

Deceit as Creativity - grade A optimist, he insists Thomas sees the world in a better lens than what it is. Reality? Ignore it! Make new worlds and take ideas as far as they can go! Always striving to help Thomas’s acting and encouraging him and giving him tips to improve. Vitiligo on his eye instead of scales.

They are all good at what they do but something is very wrong. Maybe it’s because Virgil accidentally fell through that mirror? Nothing seemed quite right to him after that but he can’t quite remember what the problem is…..
