OK So

OK so

Wilbur/Revivebur said he was alone for 9 years or whatever, which means there was no Schlatt, no MD, and no Tommy. But we saw Tommy talking to ask three of them when he died, so how can this be true? Well: personal afterlives.

If each afterlife is personal then they have to be constructed somehow, right? So what if they're made using expectations, hopes and fears. Personal afterlives mean all of the afterlife options can be true:

Revivebur was alone because he hates everyone and himself so he wants to be alone and thinks he deserves it. At first a relief it quickly became torture, but it had been established in his mind already that the afterlife is unchanging. His own personal hell, designed by himself, though subconsciously.

Tommy, having been told the afterlife is a big void by Ghostbur (who experienced Revivebur's afterlife until he split off as a ghost), gets exactly what he expects a big void holding all the dead people he knows. All of them act as he expects them to, Schlatt is drunk/asleep, MD is being a creature of chaos coming and going as he always does, and Wilbur is even more unstable than he was in Pogtopia (which gives me hope for a possible redemption arc, not much though as Tommy knows Wilbur better than anyone, and Revivebur probably has a "dream my beloved" locket)

Everyone knows Ghostbur's afterlife is happy and peaceful, just because Ghostbur and Revivebur rode the same train doesn't mean he got off on the same station. Ghostbur is in a flower field and all his friends are there and he's living his best death. Sometimes some friends aren't there and sometimes they are all different ages. Like Fundy might be a baby one day and an adult the next, Tommy is a toddler and then he's sixteen and then he's ten.

but they are always happy

Sometimes the real Mumza pops into her son's afterlife to check on him. Because she's death and she can enter any afterlife, but only if the person wants her there, which Revivebur Did Not (going off the assumption that Ghostbur + Revivebur = Wilbur/Alivebur).

Why doesn't she visit Tommy? Well, why would she? She doesn't know him, he doesn't know her. The only thing they have in common is that they view Wilbur as family.

Kinda implies Mumza was the train but we're not going to think about that too hard

Help me find a fic

Okay so it's a Dream SMP multiverse/time travel fic that starts with Tommy or Tubbo in a kinda time loop and they try to fix things and they eventually realise that the other is doing it too.

Each chapter end with a numbered list of each timeline in the author notes.

They continue trying to get the Best Possible Outcome and sometimes only one of them is "awake" and then they find the best sequence of events that lets them play around with it a little.

Then they notice some other stuff happening that didn't happen in the original timeline and it turns out ConnorEatsPants is sometimes Awake too.

More people "wake up" and they start to end up in alternate timelines and universes and it gets revealed that the world tree is under maintenance by the gods so they've put everything in time loops and Tommy and Tubbo are the "pillars" keeping the SMP stable (which is why one or both of them are always "awake").

The "branch" of the tree they are on contains all the Minecraft stuff with Steve and Alex being the oldest and they are a part of an offshoot of which Aphmau is the oldest.

It gets explained that Dream will never "wake up" at risk of causing problems to the world tree (which has already happened to other universes and beloved media characters, like Billy and Mandy)

As they start crossing over a bunch all the characters become OP in different ways and there's a bunch of found family and fluff. Puffy gets a pocket dimension that she fills with ships of all kinds (like The Black Pearl and The Enterprise). Tommy and Tubbo both end up with a couple hundred copies of the real discs and love to use them to me with Dream. Tommy collects music and gets lots of fire and lightning powers. Tubbo impresses Batman.

At one point they end up in an Elevator that sends them to different places and times within the timelines and they basically just vibe and they meet Manhunt!Dream and help him out. They meet a Fundy and (someone else? Jack/Quackity) who try to warn them about something but get cut off when The Elevator leaves. They brush it off as a part of the canon timeline they'd interrupted.

After Ranboo shows up and wakes up (Tubbo feels weird about the whole marriage thing in the canon timeline) Dream eventfully find out about the time loops/dimension travel and hides messages in Ranboo's code for himself and he almost becomes a big problem for the world tree but they stop him when they realise, after which the God in charge of maintaining their branch pops by again to try and work out a solution and they suggest waking up Manhunt!Dream.

It works.

When Fundy wakes up some of the Older Crew randomly appear in front of him and he tries to warn them about Dream. He gets cut off.

If you were to ask the question

"Who would win if the Dream SMP CC fought their character's?"

The answer is always the character, except in some particular instances:

Wilbur

Schlatt

Jack Manifold

Technoblade

Now, I see some of you looking at that last one, and I've got to say: wait just a second, let me do the others first.

CC!Wilbur Soot is fucking crazy man. He would kill C!Wilbur with no hesitation and it wasn't even supposed to be a fight to the death. Sure C!Wilbur knows how to fight, sure he's a terrorist, but he's also weak as shit man. Fresh from the grave and about ten years older, he has so many problems with his body y'all. I bet he's got a limp. When he breathes it's wet. Sure both Wilbur's bones can snap like twigs, but CC has the advantage of being alive his whole life and wanting his C to suffer. C!Wilbur would hesitate and CC!Wilbur would not, and that makes all the difference.

CC!Schlatt has a gun. C!Schlatt stands no chance. Sorry bro.

Now. Here's the thing. This could actually go either way. C!Jack is easily intimidated, but so is CC!Jack. It all boils down to who can make the other back down first, the most likely outcome is a forfeit. As long as CC!Jack makes C!Jack believe he's a boxer he's won, however if any punches are thrown (though this is unlikely) C!Jack would best him.

CC!Techno would defeat Technoblade with the power of meta. We know for a fact that Technoblade is somewhat aware of the nature of his existence, though to what extent it is unclear. CC!Techno knows all of Technoblade weaknesses for he created them. All CC!Techno has to do is tell Technoblade he created him and without him he wouldn't even be a thought and if Technoblade strikes him down he shall cease to exist in all forms. If this doesn't work he can use his ultimate weapon: Floof.

liking or hating c!dream is fine. liking or hating c!tommy is fine. having an emotional attachment to either of them is fine. having biased opinions or an emotional view of the story based on such attachment is fine.

both of them are characters that can be heavily related to or perceived as sympathetic. both of them are characters that are heavily flawed and have hurt people and can be strongly disliked.

no buts. this shouldn't have to be a hot take in this fandom.

this is a fictional storyline based on moral complexity and multiple perspectives. it is meant to make us have different opinions. it is supposed to make us feel things, even if they are often conflicting.

the "fiction affects real life" rule only applies if it affects the way we treat or think of others, and and as far as i can see, it's the people who think they have the moral high ground by liking the "good" characters who repeatedly hurt and harass those who do not.

those are the only people who need to step away in this situation, not the ones who have opinions the majority doesn't share.

none of this should be a hot take in this fandom.

i myself am still a kid but damn, he dream smp community sometimes feels like i'm back in kindergarten.

I,, wanted to make this post because I’ve seen a certain take floating around, especially on twitter, that is very… interesting.

The take goes as follows:

C!Dream was locked up in the prison because he has the revival book. The members of the SMP consider the knowledge he has too valuable to lose, so they put him in jail.

Now, this isn’t wrong, per say, but it implies a completely different motive and series of events than what actually happened in the canon story.

Here’s the events as they are implied to have happened from that sentence alone:

- c!Dream obtains the revival book. He doesn’t share it with anyone, and destroys the physical book so it can’t be stolen from him.

- After a while, someone finds out about the book.

- The rest of the server agrees that this knowledge is too valuable to lose.

- They lock c!Dream up in the prison to either keep him (and thereby the knowledge of revival) safely contained, or to torture him so badly he blabs and gives it up.

Meanwhile, here’s what actually happened:

- c!Dream obtains the revival book. He doesn’t share it with anyone, and destroys the physical book so it can’t be stolen from him.

- Months later, c!Dream holds c!Tommy’s discs hostage to force him and c!Tubbo to come meet him out in the middle of nowhere to fight.

- c!Punz rallies the server together to stop him after c!Tommy gives him all of his savings in a last ditch attempt to get someone to intervene.

- They all catch c!Dream red fucking handed trying to murder c!Tubbo (and they would probably assume c!Tommy as well), to the point where c!Sapnap and c!Puffy had to physically block him from going after the kids once they started running for safety.

- They find the Vault of Attachments, a massive room filled with spaces for everything that anyone is attached to, up to and including a tiny little cage for c!Skeppy.

- c!Tommy forces c!Dream to drop all of his items, then kills him twice.

- As c!Tommy goes in for the third kill, c!Dream desperately screams that he can revive people. He even elaborates that if he dies, death will be permanent.

- c!Tommy traps c!Dream in obsidian. c!Dream confesses to blowing up the Community House. C!Tommy tries to get him to tell everyone about what happened in exile, but c!Dream stays silent, though everyone can pretty easily see that something bad happened there.

- They deliberate over what to do. Nobody wants c!Dream to roam free considering all the shit he’d done over the past few months (waged wars against L'Manburg, Pogtopia, and El Rapids/Mexican L'Manburg, orchestrated c!Tommy’s exile and drove a wedge between c!Clingyduo, manipulated c!Tubbo into giving him c!Tommy’s second disc, destroyed L'Manburg permanently and killed a lot of people), but considering the knowledge he has, they can’t just kill him.

- C!Sam suggests locking him up in the prison. That way, he’ll still be able to revive people if needed, but he won’t be free to hurt people anymore.

So yes, it is technically true that c!Dream was locked up because he has the revival book. Except, that statement is missing the very important context that the only other option was death. He’d proven himself to be such a danger to everyone around him, nobody on the server felt safe knowing that he was just roaming the server freely.

The main purpose of him being locked up there is to ensure that he won’t hurt anyone ever again. The knowledge he has makes him too valuable to kill, but that doesn’t mean he did nothing to deserve being isolated from the rest of the server’s population, considering what he has done and tried to do to that population.

Op they aren't mutually exclusive

Wilbur when Quackity is in the room: I am chaos I blew up an entire country I am intimidating I can stop whole armies with a word I am a president I am unpredictable. I am that bitch.

Wilbur as soon as Quackity leaves: Ohmygod Ranboo he knows my name!

I love how in fanwork we keep portraying c!wilbur as this smug asshole that can get under c!quackity's skin with just a few words as if he isn't acting like a teenage girl with a crush in a disney channel original movie

oh I wasn’t aware it was feeding the ai. I’ve inserted hundreds of fics into chatgpt for their continuation or for a different plot within the same context just for fun and out of curiosity… but I’ve never posted any of them…

Indeed, anything that is given to AI it can use later to draw from. That's why it doesn't matter if you post them or not as it has now access to those writers' texts without their permission.

those moments in au fics when you finally figure out how the author is reinterpreting a specific canon event and you basically go ‘oh snap that’s brilliant’ for five minutes straight
