what is the best/worst book you've ever read?
My childhood love are the books by Tonke Dragt. She has created the strangest, most fascinating universes, always slightly unsettling but at the same time inviting, and wholly unique.
One book that will always have a special place in my heart is The Bookthief, by Markus Zusak, because that is the book that showed me I didn't have to be ashamed of my love for stories.
More recently, I was very impressed by Kafka on the Shore, by Haruki Murakami. It's a crazy, almost absurd, book, but I was immediatly caught in this confusing, magical world of his.
I also am a fan of Donna Tartt, who's meandering works have never failed to give me wonderful images and inspiration and insights.
Thanks so so much, @siljehawthorne! This is the most perfect thing ever, I’m crying. The pictures, the coloring... it feels so much like Tungsten. I’m IN LOVE. Thanks so much again <3
OC Moodboard for @everywriterneedsfanart
Tungsten
Hey everybody! Just a little update. I am going abroad for a week, but afterwards I plan on publishing some more moodboards (sorry for the long wait), answering messeges and tags, and finishing up the page about my OC’s. The last couples of weeks have rushed by me, but I look forward to getting back here!
Yes! Thanks! I love these children. Well, the protagonist, Tungsten, he’s the sweetest guy. He has just joined this band of traveling magicians and artists (the Elements), and he’s trying so hard to fit in. His biggest wish is quite simple: he wants to belong somewhere. But the antagonist, Espen, has his eyes set on the Elements. I don’t want to spoil how and why, yet! Espen isn’t brutal, but the end surely justefies the means to him. And he really believes in this end. By threatening the Elements, he forces Tungsten to help him spy on the very people Tungsten would love to call his friends. Poor Tungsten is going to feel pretty guilty for a while.

This blog will combine three things I love dearly: writing, talking about writing, and aesthetics. So if you have an amazing OC for which you crave an aesthetic moodboard or Instagram page - tell me all about them, and I will make you one! After all, every writer needs fanart.
