CG find it funny to mimic Alan sometimes in an exagerated way. They all have their own fake glasses that look like his and they make their voices highpitched.

They even try their hardest to mimic his seagull laughes and screams.

Chosen and Dark love when they do that (Tho Dark tries his hardest to not laugh in front of the kids).

I know Adam was shown to be forgetful at times in the show, but there were also times where he was super observant

So the remaining kids split off to look for him, and Bree finds him, with all the friendliness of a golden retriever, trying to talk to some random guy who looks Very Confused
