the dynamic between Goldenloin and Blackheart is just so much more complex and bitter in the comic. They’re both a lot more morally gray, and Blackheart does more than look at people with sad puppy eyes. Sure Nimona’s bitter, but he is too.
Anyway, I still love the movie, but everyone should read the comic <3
We are both both of these lmao
Amina al-Sirafi, queen of my heart. she's the most character of all time. she's a late middle aged, incredibly competent, retired pirate married to a demon? because in addition to being a living legend and devout mother, she's horny on main. perfect character

Another anime girl, and I’m actually proud of this one!!! (Still like some of my other drawings better, but this is a decent one in the anime style!)
YEAH!!!!
It’s definitely a lot different than the movies, which are loosely based off of them!! They’re super good though, probably one of my favorite series of all time!
(Seriously a lot different, not just in characters, but the whole plot and world is different than the movies, but it’s super cool!!)
What's your favorite novel?
Probably the httyd book series or anything by marissa meyer!!
In this house we stan one (1) king

im going to put you in the same airplane as joseph jostar for this
I agree gotta be happy cause that’s important
did you know about the bees
actually did you know that in Doctor Who there’s a couple comments (during I believe the 10th doctor’s time with Donna) about how “the bees are disappearing”, which signifies the appearance of a larger problem that the doctor eventually needs to deal with?? (I can’t remember what happened though lmao)
But yes I did know about the bees
Yesss exactly! Like denji throughout the series is a genuinely nice character, and probably the first character like him to be written in a actually decent way!
And even though he basically thinks about nothing else besides girls and food, and that continues throughout, he has character development despite maintaining this personality! For example the scene with power in the bathroom, towards the end, he realizes that he can have a regular female friend without being attracted to them! (I especially liked how despite that situation, which would have most characters blushing or getting weird, he simply thought to himself about how it didn’t seem naughty at all)
Honestly, that scene is such a great scene because it shows more of denji’s character and how much he’s come and grown since the beginning! Also, I loved how it showed how beautifully amazing denji and power’s friendship is.
In the end denji is an all-around great character, as he’s a nice, realistic guy who is just trying to live a normal, happy life!
Denji is an incredible protagonist for one simple reason:
He is SO respectful.
He's a horny touch starved teenage boy. He's a pervert, he thinks about sex and girls all the time. His entire goal in life at one point was to touch some boobs.
And yet never, EVER, has Denji violated anyone's consent. Ever.
He's never peeped on anyone. Never groped anyone against their will. Never took pictures or even really gawked at anyone. He's had sexual thoughts about almost every woman he's met, sure, but he never acted on it without some form of consent.
The most he's done is make deals with various girls about doing various things with them ... Thing is, it was usually offered to him BY the girls.
Power offered him to let him touch her chest if he helped - and when he did, Denji did not even bring it up again until she did. He didn't demand she uphold her side of the deal nor even really mentioned it - she could've just let it pass and he wouldn't say a word.
Himeno offered to kiss him if they made it out of the hotel. Again, Denji didn't bring it up until she did, though he was considerably enthusiastic about it.
Makima offered him 'anything', and Denji decided to ask for sex - however he checked and double checked if that would, in fact, be okay to ask. (And he didn't even end up asking for it).
He's a genuinely believeable teenage boy, he's gonna be horny, he's gonna think about sex, but he's also a NICE teenage boy, and he has no desire to make anyone uncomfortable.
And the author doesn't see sexual assault as a hahah funny !!!
Denji is proof that you can write a likable pervert character.
All you have to do is make them respectful.
