inch resting... lets hope its as good as everyone makes it seem
👀 This one show host - it’s on YT (but, has to be taken with a grain of salt though cause sometimes people exaggerate) said ‘The Greatest Beer Run’ script is/was “so good”, “wild” and “adventure” and the friendship theme of the story is good too. She read the script back then cause her agent got her the audition for Zac’s mom in the film. Hopefully she’s right in her description.
They’re also releasing it during the Fall … Which is usually when a lot of award suitor films come out… IIRC
Peter won an Oscar so he does have a bit sway, as long as the script is really that gravitating, it sounds like it has high chances.
Nonetheless the summary description has interested me for awhile, so I’ll be interested whether it gets any Noms or not.
Hyppppedddd!

You could argue that basketball in High School Musical functions as a stand-in for masculinity itself. Troy enjoys basketball, and the camaraderie he has with his teammates (did you see how supportive he was of zeke’s baking??) and as a straight white popular dude he never had to question his relationship to masculinity, just as he never questioned his basketball career. But then, post-singing-with-lady-who-respects-coronavirus, he discovers his enjoyment of something not considered masculine, but is clearly anxious about what his friends and dad will think. Again, pretty common issue of toxic masculinity is how men tend to punish other men for straying from gender norms (or not sticking to the status quo). Sidenote: Unlike most common depictions of men in Hollywood, the movie doesn’t mock or shame Troy or Zeke for having interests that aren’t traditionally masculine, instead leveling criticism at Chad for shaming his friends. Anyway, Troy’s relationship to basketball is, like most men’s relationship with masculinity, closely tied to his relationship with his father. Troy’s dad puts immense pressure on his son to do well with basketball, pushing his son into a narrow box and becoming angry (initially) when he strays.
Zac Efron in GOLD (2022) I did my part, I protected it!
bisexual analogy in high school musical you will always be famous to me 🙏🏻
It's almost August and Variety has ranked their current Oscar predictions. As an actor Zac is 37th on their list for GBRE. Picture is 31st, director is 36th, and the Screenplay is 18th. I'd guess nominations aren't likely unless something drastically changes since there are only 5 noms in each category (and 10 in Picture). If he were in the top 10 I'd think there'd be a chance. But nice to see him and the film even mentioned on the list. It puts his name in more industry peep's heads.
Yes! I got High hopes for that film just needs good script
East High is having friends we’ll keep for the rest of our lives, and that means we really are ‘all in this together’. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!”
