Penis blast hilarious
In one world, Tom and Maddie are Nicky’s cool uncle and aunt. They live on another island, like most humans, but it’s always an exciting day when they come to visit. Tania races to the door when they come in, holding a basket of presents for each of the kids filled with candy from their town and fun toys they picked up since they saw them last. They have long conversations with Paulie and Brenda that the kids don’t understand, they hate listening to adults talk about work and politics and the weather, so they instead play with their new toys until their parents leave and let their Aunt and Uncle babysit. Tania excitedly sits on Maddie’s lap as she infodumps about this new Sonic character who frequently appears to help them out. “I got kidnapped by Eggman once,” she says, oblivious to the flash of worry in their eyes, “But Sonic got me out, it was really fun. Nicky still hasn’t met him.” Nicky shrinks in Tom’s lap and says something about how he’s always in the wrong place, and Tom gives his arm a squeeze and tells him that it’ll happen soon, and besides, he’s just as cool as Sonic is. Nicky grins. Tania then tells them that Nicky has a giiiirlfriend now and Nicky leaps across the room to slap his hand over her mouth as the adults laugh.
In another world, they meet Sonic and Tails together. Sonic is the hero of mobius, they knew of him, but they didn’t realize how young he and his sidekick were until they ended up in their town, warding off a giant robot. They both looked at each other and thought the same thing, and invited the children for dinner. The kids were energetic, truly, and loud, and didn’t seem to understand boundaries, but they were polite and delightful and excited to be there. Tails played with their dog in the living room as Sonic tried out their treadmill. When he came to watch Tails, he got a bit quiet, and turned to Tom, asking that “if stuff keeps happening to Tails, would you guys be willing to watch him?” Apparently Sonic had previously tried to find Tails a home, and it didn’t end well. Tom knelt down, putting his hands on Sonic’s shoulders, and told him that either of them were welcome any time. They could stay as long as they wanted. “I’m not one to stay in one place,” Sonic said, though a smile slid onto his face, “But I’ll keep that in mind.”
There’s another world where they aren’t born on Earth– or, Mobius as it’s been called for thousands of years– but instead on another human planet. They hear that Mobius is requesting aid, and stop by, as Maddie is a doctor trained in several species and Tom can provide protection if need be. They apparently just rid themselves of a dictator, and the little chipmunk princess has just figured out how to reverse roboticization, so they need a lot of help in restarting their society. Sonic and Tom worked together attempting to hunt down stray robots, and now Sonic follows him around, asking questions about his job and his planet and sometimes getting him to teach him and his friends baseball. “They’re so young,” Maddie said once, looking at them. “Sonic just turned sixteen. And they were fighting a losing war for ten years.” She met Tails at her office when he came in after crashing, because Dulcy told him that she was super nice and helpful, and now he’ll crawl into her lap to read stories. Then there’s the princess, the little girl that sometimes shows up to drag Sonic into something– or out of something. But one day she came over for dinner, when Sonic and Tails were invited. She shuffled her feet, mumbling that she could go if she wasn’t welcome, but they of course let her in. She held herself with dignity, talked with them about adult matters, but they still looked at her and saw a child, and it was heartbreaking. “You know,” Maddie said after dinner, as Tails flew around the backyard with their dog, “If you ever need a break from princess-stuff, we have some fun human games we’d love to teach you.” Sally smiled a little, saying something about how she was a leader and leaders never took breaks… but she would love to come over sometime, if it was really alright. Bunnie would and Antoine spar with Tom and learn techniques from him while teaching him their own, and Rotor would have pleasant conversations with them while repairing things with Tails and helping Maddie cook. Dulcy, meanwhile, was used to them first, as her crashes ended up with her in the vet’s office more times than she could count. By the time Sonic and Tails moved in with them, all of these Freedom Fighters were comfortable enough to walk into their house, plop on their couch, and scream into a pillow about council matters or trade deals or anything, really. The adults would listen and laugh, and then take them all out for ice cream, along with their friends.
There’s a universe where a lot of stuff happened, and they’ve all been through a lot. Roboticization or exile, underlander or overlander, more revolutions than they can count. But Tom met Jules during a robian rights meeting, and Maddie became acquainted with Bernadette at a group therapy meeting, and so they met Sonic eventually. He was awkward around most adults, but he seemed to like them fine, liked playing games with them and rambling about “stupid dating issues” and once climbed on Tom’s back for a ride. Tails became acquainted with them much faster, as Tom and his dad used to work together, and he slipped into calling them “Uncle” and “Aunt” faster than they expected, though it was a welcome surprise. Knuckles met them through his friends, and well… once, he crashed on their couch, awkwardly explaining that he didn’t want to go home to his father, and his mother was too far to reach by tonight. He crashed quite a few times, actually, and after a while the two of them made a mental note to fight anyone who forced him to grow up too fast. They knew a lot of this group’s friends, sometimes by coincidence. Maddie knew a lot of them from her medical practice, and Tom from his guard duties. (He’s arrested Rouge once, that had been “fun.”) And one day, Sonic comes to them hand-in-hand with a little girl named Hope, saying that her team is on a mission and he doesn’t want her to be alone. Hope is awkward for a few days, and then one night falls asleep against Maddie’s shoulder, and plays ball with Tom in the backyard, and joins them for movie nights. One night she tearfully tells them about her heritage, only to find out they already knew and couldn’t care less, and from that day on she has her own bedroom, and their number for emergencies, and a warm hug whenever she needs one.
There’s a time when they live on Planet Freedom, in the land of the clouds. Tom is still a guard here, working for the President and his daughter, though it seems that Robotnik always shows up when he’s somewhere else. Seira introduces him to Sonic on a day where Sonic needs outside assistance for a Robotnik plot, and they hit it off like a house on fire. Tails is a little upset for a while, thinking Sonic is ignoring him, but then Tom scoops up Tails in his arms and puts him on his shoulders for a ride and Tails laughs for the first time in a while. Tom comes home and tells Maddie about them and they’re invited over, and when they find out the children are living alone on a beach, Maddie immediately says “That’s not happening” and refurbishes the attic for them. Knuckles stops by randomly after that, just appearing in their kitchen one day and eating their peanut butter as he asks where Sonic is, he needs him for a treasure hunt. Maddie, who found him, takes it in stride, and packs them both lunches. Before she knows it, Knuckles is camping out in their yard, wanting to stay outside but also knowing he has a safe place just a few feet away.
There’s a world where they were on the run for years. They managed to keep their heads low for a time, but then Tom was nearly captured, recognized as a former ally of the Queen’s, and Maddie crushed a robot with a wrench and smashed it to bits before they took off. They’d hopped from place to place, trying to help where they could, to save people being surrounded by robots, to lift crying kids into their laps and treat their wounds and sing them a song. It’s been about fifteen years since the takeover when they hear rumors that Robotnik set a trap for Aleena’s children in the nearby mansion, and so they go to stop it, of course. Tom finds Sonic surrounded by bots and shoots them down, before grabbing his arm and telling him to follow him. The terrified blue boy shakes his head, shouting something about how he’s not going to be roboticized, he has to find his siblings, and Tom has to take a second to calm him down and explain that he’s trying to help. Meanwhile, Maddie has found the other two, trapped in a room awaiting roboticization, and they have the same reaction, desperate to find Sonic and terrified that this human is with their enemy. Maddie has to put a hands on their shoulders and look them in the eye and talk them through a calming breathing exercise, before telling them that she was a medic in the palace once. “I worked with your mom,” she tells them, “As did my husband. We’re not going to hurt you.” she smiles, then, and says, “I saw you as babies once. Your heads were huge.” She holds their hands and runs them out, and they find Tom and Sonic in the hall, and make their way to safety. The triplets tell them about a safe village they can go to, one that has a lot of refugees that will need assistance, and once they’re settled in, Maddie tells them that she left a room open for them if they need it. “And your echidna friend– don’t think I didn’t hear him say he lived alone.” The siblings have been on a mission for a while, but Tom and Maddie can’t wait to introduce them to their new foster child, a refugee named Tails who keeps fiddling with their machines and flying into walls, who took to calling them “Dad” and “Mom” incredibly quickly and purrs and kicks when he sleeps. It’s a few nights before the hedgehogs will arrive when there’s a purple blur out their window, and a note that says simply thank you on their porch.
There’s a time when Tom and Maddie know of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles distantly. They’re on TV, saving the world; they’re aliens from another dimension, apparently. Then one day they’re nearby, fighting robots, and Tom runs into them in the street, with the rest of their team and a boy who can’t be older than twelve. He hides them in the station for a while, but offers his home for the night, calling ahead to make sure Maddie’s okay with it. Tails and Amy find Ozzie to be strange, more used to anthropomorphic dogs, but he warms up to them quickly and soon they’re chasing him around the yard with Cream and Cheese. Cream stops at one point to help them with dinner, excitedly telling them about all the things Ella has taught her. Knuckles has his arms crossed, muttering about how he should be on his way, but Sonic elbows him in the ribs and tells him to lighten up a little. The little boy, Chris, is polite and kind, if a little socially awkward, but they can tell there’s something wrong. He clings too close to Sonic, looking panicked when he’s not there. He doesn’t talk much about his family, instead encouraging the aliens to talk more, and sometimes stares into the distance, as if he can’t hear them. He’s lonely, they think, and they make sure to include him where they could. They left after that night, and they thought that was the end of it, just a pleasant night– but it’s a few years later when the portals open again, and there are Black Arms in the streets, and they find themselves sheltering the aliens again. They’re in a bunker, with a room for the Master Emerald that Knuckles sleeps in. Tom stops by a lot, giving him updates and listening to his advice, before one day gently telling him that he can switch guard duty out every now and again; they’re all happy to help. Knuckles hmms, and shrugs, which is as good as they’ll get from him, so Tom sits beside the emerald while Knuckles takes a long, long nap. Chris is older and wiser, and he has his friends with him. Tom talks strategy with Helen while Danny and Frances help Maddie patch up the injured. When Maddie goes into the hall for a break, she finds Tails, curled up against the wall. She sits beside him. He’s seemed quieter, older than he was when she last saw him, more reserved and mature. Which is strange, because only a few months had passed in his world. She looks down at the potted plant in his hands and tells him that as long as he’s in this world, their house is his. He looks to her, and slowly passes her the pot. “Don’t let anything happen to her, please.” he says quietly. “She’s the last of her species, and… I lost her…” his voice trails off, trying to find the right word. “I guess it’s her mom. She was so young, she didn’t deserve…” he blinks back tears. “I hate that we couldn’t save her. But I won’t let this seed fall the same way. I just… please. Just make sure nothing happens to her, while I fight.” Maddie hugs him tight, and says that nothing will happen to either of them. Sonic isn’t there much, but when he is, he has a grateful look in his eyes when he sees them with his friends, when he sees Maddie putting flowers in Cream’s fur or Tom teaching Amy how to fire a gun. He doesn’t say much, really, but everything between them is alright being unsaid.
There’s another world where most humans live on continents, it happens in a lot of worlds. Their kids moved out to fight crime professionally a while ago, and they’re fine with that. But they stop to visit their new island village sometimes, and when they do they can tell that Sonic speed-cleaned his house, and Tom makes a remark about how there’s no door, while Maddie aaws over the fact he still has the neckerchief they sent him last winter. Tails flies in and excitedly drags them to his workshop to show them what he’s working on, and they go to a restaurant that Tom says is absolutely not up to code, and then they run out early to “kick some ro-butt.” When they come back, Amy is excited to see “Mr. and Ms. Wachowski” and shows them some new moves with her hammer. Knuckles forgot who they were again, but they’re used to that as Maddie carefully explains to him how to put together the puzzle they brought, and he excitedly hugs her once he’s got it. The badger hides out in the corner, hissing about government spies and how cops are evil, which Tom doesn’t take personally whatsoever thankfully. “You know I’m a sheriff,” he says, “It’s an elected position. If I sucked at the job I’d be voted out.” The badger than says something about mind-controlling robots, and he laughs and tells her that “that was how they adopted Sonic, actually,” and she is suddenly interested, and Sonic groans and slaps his forehead as Tom tells the “embarrassing” stories of him and Tails when they were younger, as Maddie and Amy smash things in the backyard “for fun.”
There’s a universe where Sonic runs, he always runs, he runs from everything. His friends have been with him through Chaos and the ARK and Neo Metal Sonic, through Black Arms invasions and extreme gear races and time gods and werehogs and timeline mishaps and zeti and world wars. He will slip sometimes into adventures in the Arabian Nights, in Arthurian Legends, in another dimension with a stoic pyrokinetic cat and overly excitable raccoon. He raised Tails, that much his friends know. They know nothing else about his past. He doesn’t talk about it much. And he’s so happy all the time, they don’t think to ask.
Shadow mentions, once, at a party, that Sonic is sad. It took them a while to see it. But he, above anyone else, would recognize a front. Recognize how someone hides pain. At one point, Rouge asks Tails if he and Sonic have parents, phrasing it in a joking way. Tails gets awkward and changes the subject. Vector and Espio haven’t been able to get anything out of them, either. “Don’t ask,” Shadow sternly tells them when he finds out what they’re doing. “They’ll talk when they’re ready. If they’re ready.”
But it’s one night, as they stack food in the Restoration storage, that Amy quietly asks him directly. If he has any family, other than Tails. If he ever did.
Sonic doesn’t answer.
Do your dishes you aquatic bird
Says this as I apologize for delay because of shitty internet
-🐢 anon
The dishes have been done!!
I am also saying this as I apologize for the delay in answering, not because of shitty internet but because Sonic Prime s2 is gonna come out on Netflix tomorrow and I am GOING INSANE
explaining the train of thought that got me to this would take way too much backstory but basically I had an idea and then I wrote it. I rewatched Scream recently so maybe that helps lol
cw: death (not of a canon character), mentions of blood and vomit
-----
The call comes in at a little after 2 AM, and he almost doesn’t answer because he’s busy.
But Leo almost never calls him, and it’s a singular enough occurrence that he picks up the phone and hits the button.
“Hello, you are conversing with Donatello,” he greets. “Make it quick, Nardo, I’m elbow deep in the tank’s engine.”
On the other end of the line, Leo is silent. Or, mostly silent; Donnie can hear him breathing, a little too loud, a little too fast.
Suddenly, he’s on high alert. He sits back from the tank, speaking more urgently into the phone, “Leo?”
There’s another second of breathing, and then, finally, in a voice that is too high and panicked to be his normal joking tone, he says, “Hey, remember when I sent you that meme about siblings who will beat the crap out of each other one minute and hide a body for each other the next, and I said, “us,” and you gave it a heart?”
Donnie blinks. Processes that string of words.
“I think I recall it,” he says.
“Well,” says Leo. “I need to know if that’s really us.”
Donnie stands up and keys in the command to swap battleshells to the jetpack.
“Stay where you are,” he says. “I’m on my way.”
-----
The body is male. Early twenties. About six two or six three. Caucasian. Wearing some ghoulish mask like the serial killer in a bad teen slasher.
Actually, now that Donnie thinks about it, there’s been stuff on the news lately. About a guy who likes to knife up co-eds. And Leo’s wearing his biggest, baggiest hoodie, and jeans, and in a dark alley like this it would be easy to mistake him for a normal, non-mutated human teen.
The puzzle pieces are all laid out for Donnie, but the picture it paints is pretty unbelievable.
Then again, he’s a mutant turtle who grew up in a sewer and recently fended off an alien invasion. His bar for believable is pretty low.
He takes in the body, slashed across the chest, ridiculous getup soaked in blood. Then he turns to look at Leo, curled around his knees against the wall. There’s blood all over him, too, but Donnie feels pretty confident that most of it is not his own. There’s a puddle of vomit nearby, and a dagger, and a katana, cast aside.
Leo raises his eyes to meet Donnie’s. “I didn’t know he was human.”
Donnie looks back at the body, and at the mask. Connects it to the dagger, which definitely isn’t Leo’s.
“Seems like he was a great guy,” Donnie says.
“He stabbed my arm.”
“I meant it sarcastically.”
Leo laughs, high and reedy. Then he leans over and vomits again.
Donnie can’t help but curl his snout at that one. He looks away and waits for Leo to finish.
There’s a spit, then a sniff, then Leo says, “He stabbed my arm and I turned around and saw the mask.”
Ah yes, that. It’s pink and has a serrated smile. Little rubbery bits of slime and ooze. These things got popular after the invasion - they aren’t anywhere near the real thing, but in a dark alley, under attack, alone, when Leo had…
The puzzle pieces are there. Donnie doesn’t really need an explanation to put it together.
Actually, scratch that: he does need an explanation for one thing.
“Why are you so upset about this?” He looks back at Leo. “You took out a serial killer. Or a wannabe serial killer. At the very least a stabber.”
“I didn’t mean to kill him,” says Leo immediately. A little pleading. “I didn’t think that would… I didn’t know he was human.”
“He attacked you.”
“I could have disarmed him. I could have trapped him and let the police deal with him.”
“He came up behind you in this creepy mask and stabbed your arm.”
“He didn’t stand a chance against me,” says Leo, and it’s not swaggering and not boastful, but horrified. “It was like tearing paper, Dee. It was so easy.”
Donnie leaves the body to kneel in front of his brother. He puts his hands on his shoulders, looking him straight in the eye to make sure he listens.
“He attacked you, Nardo. He wanted to kill you. He made the wrong choice. Not you.”
Leo looks down, at the blood on his hoodie, and Donnie squeezes his shoulders until they lock eyes again.
“He made the wrong choice,” Donnie repeats emphatically.
Leo sighs, like he’s giving in, and a rueful smile grows on his face. “Thanks, hermano. But I don’t think the EPF is gonna see it that way.”
Ah yes, the good old United States government, and their hilariously poorly titled Earth Protection Force. Since the invasion, their existence had become known to the EPF, and they’ve been in an unspoken truce ever since. A “live and let live” holding pattern.
Unfortunately, Donnie has to admit Leo is right on this one: that this man is likely and most probably a serial killer won’t matter to the EPF. Killing any human crosses a line they won’t tolerate.
And so, there is only one solution here. The one Leo proposed when he first called.
Donnie is going to help him hide a body.
…Which means he is going to have to touch it.
Leo frowns at him. “Uh, Dee, what’s the yarf-face for?”
“I just realized how gross this is going to be.”
Leo laughs again, more than a little hysterical, and lets his head fall against Donnie’s plastron, the giggles shaking his shoulders under Donnie’s hands.
“That wasn’t a joke,” Donnie insists. Leo just laughs even harder.
Donnie scowls, even as he pulls Leo closer. “That meme really is us. I want to beat the crap out of you right now.”
Leo howls with laughter. Except it sounds a little more like sobbing now. Donnie gathers him up and holds him until he’s better again.
-----
Across the Hudson, the sky is turning pink. Donnie stands with Leo, watching the water that the body disappeared under.
They’ve already scrubbed the alley clean of any blood traces - his and Leo’s. He also had his drones bring gloves with the cleaning supplies, so they didn’t leave any fingerprints. At least Leo had the sense not to touch anything. And it’s not like the government has their prints on file, anyway. Donnie’s checked.
There wasn’t anything they could really do to hide the massive laceration that led to the body’s death. Short of melting it in acid, but both of them had dismissed that idea as soon as Donnie raised it. Despite what Donnie thinks of himself, he isn’t actually a stone cold disposer of bodies. The idea of melting it was too gross to think about.
Besides, it doesn’t matter if the body gets found, as long as it doesn’t get traced back to them. And Donnie doesn’t see any reason it should.
He’s already hacked any security cameras near the scene and made sure Leo doesn’t show up on any of them. Leo’s a good enough ninja to avoid that sort of thing, anyway, not that Donnie will admit it out loud. The crabs and fish will take care of the flesh and the katana’s mark. Leo destroyed the weapon itself in a bright blue explosion of ninpo.
“It’s kind of a bummer,” says Leo after a minute, “that the murders will go unsolved.”
“No, they won’t.” Donnie pulls out a phone, holding it carefully with his gloves. “He helpfully took trophy photos.”
Leo’s eyes go wide. “Dude, did you fish around in his pockets?”
Donnie can’t help but curl his lips. “Ugh, don’t remind me. It was a very unpleasant experience and I don’t want to repeat it.”
“What are you going to do with it?”
“Find where he lived and leave it there.” Donnie shrugs. “His body will turn up, or he’ll get reported missing. The cops will find it and everything will be wrapped up in a neat little bow.”
“Huh. Guess that takes care of that.” A pause. Leo shuffles a bit next to him. “You’re… really calm about this.”
Is he? Since the moment he got that phone call, he entered Fix It mode. He hasn’t really thought of anything else since.
“I don’t know if I will be later,” he admits.
“I’ll be there, if you’re not.”
Donnie hums an acknowledgement. There’s a weight against his arm, Leo leaning into him.
“Thanks, Dee,” he says.
“You’d do the same for me,” Donnie replies.
“Yeah,” Leo agrees. Simple as that.
