I know everyone’s drawing this shot but man was it a great shot
We need a little christmas always makes me kinda cringe. And I love Chris’s voice so much but the like really high short speak-sing lines he has come off as really sharp? Idk I like most of their Christmas stuff and I’ll still listen to the song I just kinda only like it for the boppiness
I had to go back and listen to this one -- it sounds like the entire song was sped up to make it sound more childlike, which is... weird. And you’re right, Chris is straining again. Eesh. It’s not good. C- at best.
HOWEVER YOU REMINDED ME OF THE SONG THAT I WILL THROW THINGS AT THE TV IF I HAVE TO EVER LISTEN TO IT AGAIN AND THAT IS.... THE CHIPMONK SONG.
Good god, I hate that song.
Apparently, other people don’t mind it. I don’t know, lol.
But back to your thoughts -- it leads a longer conversation about Chris’s voice -- and how sometimes, a high song he can just soar on, and other times, when it’s in that awkward middle range of your voice, he can seem like he’s straining a bit. The thing, though, that people don’t seem to talk about is that Chris’s voice did drop during the show, and his gorgeous lower register wasn’t used as often as I would have liked it. But also, sometimes I don’t think they knew how best to use Chris’s voice when in group numbers.
So I haven’t watched the glee project but what do you mean that current Broadway Elphaba, Lindsay Pearce, lost to fricken Rory and Joe and that TONY AWARD WINNING Ali Stroker lost to freakin Ryder????
OKAY SO, I am no expert on Broadway Auditions and will be ignoring the absurdity of a completely open audition for a well off revival of a critically acclaimed show like Funny Girl. But I cannot ignore the buffonary of Don’t Stop Believing as an audition song. The fact that she gets the part instead of being laughed right off the stage is ridiculous honestly what even was this show??
So um, I have no true explanation for this one. It just feels right, so hey @gleefax
I’m in a Lover mood again so it’s time to combine it with my other current hyperfixation, Glee. I’m sure this has been done before but here is how Glee would fit each song (by each song I mean only the ones I listen to) from Lover into their plot.
I Forgot That You Existed
This is the one song that I’ll give entirely to Rachel. I straight up want Rachel to sing this when her and Finn are breaking up/fighting. I don’t know which one but I’m thinking something also involving Jesse would be good. Ooo It could even be Rachel saying a personal goodbye to Jesse after the egging? Idk I just want Rachel to sing this about one of the boys she’s been with.
Lover
This would be a finchel duet and it would be cute but I actually want it to be a quartet. I am Klaine trash so this could be really cool to have in The First Time. As you’ll be able to tell from this list I really like Don’t Speak and The Scientist so the couples having mirror storylines and singing in quartets is like crack to me.
The Man
This would either be a girl Power mid episode number Ala Madonna, or a really weird decision for Unique. But RM constantly was making sketch choices so I could absolutely see him pulling something like that. Could be girl number at one of the few points they were all single??
I Think He Knows
I want Quinn to sing this. I have no idea what the context could be? Maybe when she’s cheating on Sam with Finn could work pretty well. Yeah let’s go with that.
Miss Americana And The Heartbreak Prince
This one would probably never be covered but I think it would be a good Quinn song. Quinn for season 1 when she’s having problems with Finn. It could be a good dream sequence song type in Preggers.
Paper Rings
I, like most of the Klaine fanbase am obsessed with the Box Scene. I want this to happen the episode after the box scene so it doesn’t intrude on the Christmas of it all and be a number with Klaine Tike and Finchel. This could also be the number that prompts Finchel to get engaged. It would be so cute.
London Boy
Season 4. Kurt and Adam get a song. That’s all. It probably in the snowed in episode where we got come what may we get Adam prompting Kurt to get a song for them and this comes on and they just laugh. In terms of staging it’s very intentionally very similar to Cold Outside. All in all the mid game New York romances needed more development so that when we got rid of them people cared. We also needed them to have flaws and to see the relationship not working out so when we got the original pairings back it didn’t seem like people were settling.
You Need To Calm Down
This would be a big walk down the hallway all glee club number and Kurt would get the line, you all know the line, and we would all debate it’s merits but listen to it a lot because this is right up the alley of Loser Like Me and Don’t Stop Believing for that young hopeful Glee sound. It would probably end the episode.
Me
OKAY BUT THIS AS A KLAINE DUET WITH DARREN SINGING BRENDON URIES PART. Okay so I know that’s not going to happen, but it would be so good for Klaine. In real glee it would be a Finchel duet and it would fit pretty well but I want it to be Klaine. As a Klaine song this would be really good if they had done an episode in season three addressing the schools reaction to having a gay couple in the hallway. Cause with as much flak as Kurt got on his own it would be an interesting arc if they actually addressed the fact that pda is dangerous for them. That would have been a much better use of episode time in season 3.
Kurt why did you take the pamphlet why did you take the pamphlet
You said fill your inbox with cool things and I want to interact so here are a couple of weird things from my school.
