Wild West AU (bandit!Castiel & sheriff!Nath)

Castiel is an orphan, the banker's wife finds him and decides to take him in. he is brought up along the banker's own son, Nathaniel. the two boys are roughly the same age, maybe Nathaniel being a bit older. they grow up together, and while it was never a secret before them that they are not blood brothers, they treated each other as such

when they got older (15~17), Castiel started getting into smaller troubles here and there; not paying the baker, breaking the carriage that was trusted to him, doing all kinds of inappropriate things with the well-mannered little ladies in town

rumour said that he got into bad company one night, and now he joined them. lighting the mayor's house on fire, causing chaos at the carnival, occasionally theft

this caused a divide between Castiel and his adoptive family; while Nathaniel wanted to redeem him, his parents (especially his father) didn't even want to hear his opinion. when he felt like Castiel stepped over a line, he kicked him out without a second thought. Castiel laughed in his face "like I need your help anymore"

for years, the two boys have not met. Castiel continued the journey he started as a young man, while Nathaniel became a town marshal to clean the stain on his family's name. every single day, he'd see his old brother's face on the 'wanted' signs, wondering what went wrong

Castiel didn't stay in one place; he roamed the wild west, along a group of bandits, becoming notorious criminals. he promised himself never to return to the old town he grew up in. he caused a lot of troubles there, sometimes even people he loved (even if he denied it). he will keep himself out of their lives, that's the least he can do

he sees that he must break his promise though when a new line is built near his hometown. trains aren't the easiest to rob, but in case of success, the loot usually makes up for it. he can't betray his associates, but he also fears from returning

they have done it thousands of times. they assign the roles, take their places, and wait for their part to come. Castiel himself got the role of bait; with a smaller part of the takings, he's supposed to flee south, attracting the attention from his companions as they take the majority of the loot. there was one thing he wasn't prepared for though: with the old sheriff stepping down, Nathaniel was elected as the new one

Nathaniel expected Castiel and co. to be interested in the freshly built railway, and he knew what was the right thing to do, he only wasn't sure if he could follow through. hell, he wasn't even sure if he wanted to

picture this: Castiel and Nathaniel, standing a few steps apart from each other, eyes fixated on the other one quite homoerotic if you ask me, but let's move on

"who will I arrest today? friend or foe?" "no one. I know your tricks, you can't catch me" THE FEELINGS

everyone is free to interpret what happens later on, but I'd like to think Nathaniel lets Castiel go (maybe ask him to never return, with aching heart, but knowing this is probably for the best u_u)

2024 is over, but not my (hopefully not temporary) motivation for writing! my plans for the beginning of the year:

finish Dykecember. even though December ended, I really liked this challenge and I have an idea for most of the prompts, so I want to finish it, no matter how much time it takes. as it's a different month now, I don't think I'll care about the numbering of the days that much - I'll go with what I like, and eventually all 31 will be done

complete the old requests. I have some "leftover" requests from before my break (yes, from years ago.... I'm ashamed of myself). I wanted to do Dykecember as a way of practice to get back into writing, so that the requested pieces won't be half-assed, but these will be next

go on with my original ideas. believe or not, but I actually still have ideas for original fics as well, and I plan on developing these too!

+ if I get any requests in the meantime, I will write that too of course (though I don't really expect that to happen considering that I completely lost my old audience - which is not a surprise since I disappeared for more than 2 years)

I also started developing my own interactive fiction game.... it's just a lil' passion project for now, but maybe when it's a 100% finished and I feel confident enough with it, I'll share it too :)

hmm, it's been long since I've written anything, huh? more than a month wtf

school has been really weighing on me, but luckily it will end soon ^^ my absolute last exam was today, so technically I'm already free \o/

I'll share a prompt list, and I encourage everyone to go and request something if they like one or more of the prompts! I'll write everything you need to know in the post itself, just thought I'd let you guys know to prepare yourselves ahahaha

I don't actually know how many people care about my writings (MCL, specifically), that's why I haven't made any kind of "Farewell Post" like I have seen many people do, but I still wanted to clear things in case someone does care

I won't leave the fandom and I definitely won't leave Tumblr / AO3 / Discord. I don't know yet if I will play / write for the new game - as promising as it sounds, I have always preferred fantasy / sci-fi over slice of life stuff - but I won't stop writing for MCL either. I'm at HSL in my main account, and episode 7 of LL in my secondary (without playing HSL or UL), so I still have plenty of gaming left. I have multiple one-shot and headcanon ideas at the moment, not to mention my two fanfictions; I'm nowhere close to leaving this game and fandom behind

I was actually tempted to stop writing for MCL and concentrate on ED and SE, I don't even know if anyone will read what I write (my audience has never been big, and I'm sure it will just be smaller now), but as long as there's even a little demand for MCL related writings, I'll be here

Some of you may have seen my posts, or some of you may have spoken to me and know me, or some of you may be saying "who is this?". For the one who is saying "who is this?" my name is "Uzay" and i'm a girl who lives in Turkey.

Some of you may know what's happening in Turkey this days but i'm sure in a big part of you don't know. So let me explain; There is a contract in Turkey. Actually, it would be more correct to say "there was". The contract was called "İstanbul Sözleşmesi". In other means "GREVIO". If you dont know what GREVIO is shortly; "GREVIO" provided for the punishment of the perpetrator if a woman was subjected to violence. And it wasn't just for women who were subjected to violence. It included men, children, and everyone else.

But few days ago contract has been terminated. Since the termination of the contract, every woman is afraid. Because many people were waiting for the contract to be canceled. Sadly there is women in those people. Many people started protesting and are they are still going on.

It's my last word and i'm going to say how can you help. Last year 409 woman get killed by their ex-boyfriend/husband, brother even father. And even it's third month of the year there is 79 killed woman.

If you see this please; reblog. Go twitter and post "Women in Turkey is not safe" or "istanbul sozlesmesi yasatir". I never want to post something like this in here but i need your help. The women in Turkey need your help. We don't want to die. Please be our voice.
