So we all know Rusty-James is the big dog around where y'all live.

So it was a shock to everyone when you two got together.

There was NO way in hell that Rusty was gonna let Smokey get to you like he did with Patty.

People tried telling you that he was just gonna hurt you.

So when he first met you, he was playing pool and his drink was on the bar.

And it's kinda hard to play pool in public because people will steal your spot.

So he didn’t want to move and have his place stolen.

And he didn’t know your name and he wanted to ask you to hand him his drink.

So what ended up coming out was “Hey, uh pretty girl can you hand me that drink right there?” 

He was lowkey embarrassed.

You parted ways with the guy that was talking to you about just random things. You weren’t really that interested. But he just seemed like he needed a ear to listen. So you did. You grabbed your boyfriend’s hand- or so you tried to. But he pulled away. “What’s wrong babe?” You asked with concern in your voice. Dally looked at you, you could’ve sworn you saw a tear or two. “Why don’t you go ask the new guy.” You two got in his car and drove back quietly. Until you decided to break the ice. “What are you so upset about?! I didn’t do anything wrong!” He looked mad. “Don’t lie to me y/n you were practically all over em’.” Now it was your turn to be mad. How was he just gonna accuse you of cheating when he knows you wouldn’t do anything of a sort. ESPECIALLY if you were right in front of him. “Stop the car.” There was a pause of silence. “..what?” You were more mad than you were before. “I said stop the car!!” Dallas hesitantly stopped the car, expecting you to just yell at him. He was thinking that you asked him to pull over to avoid road rage. He was wrong. You have gotten out of the car with all of your belongings and started walking. Not really giving a damn where the road took you. “Y/n! Get in the damn car!” You didn’t listen at all. You had your headphones on(just go with it 😭) listening to some stupid song, not caring to change it. He went back to get the car and by the time he got in it to pick you up, you were already out of sight. You made it to Buck’s before him and sat at the bar. “Hey kid, what’s wrong with ya?” Buck asked you politely. You stayed silent for a minute. “Dallas accused me of cheating- I mean, come on! I was right in from of em’ don’t you think that if I was gonna do something like that I would’ve had a little bit of heart to not do it in front of him?!” You sighed walking up the stairs. “See ya tomorrow Buck.” “See ya, kid” you looked around the room. Thinking that it might be over for real. You cried silently until you heard the door open. You looked up to see a teary eyed Dally. He engulfed you in a hug and rubbed your back. “I know you didn’t.” You pushed him away gently. Not in a forceful way. Just enough so you would see his face. “Then why did you yell at me and accuse me of something you know I wouldn’t do?!” Dallas looked at you. “Doll, before me and you were together- you remember when I was in jail a year back?” You nodded. “Well my now ex girlfriend Sylvia was two timin’ me while I was in jail. And baby I know you didn’t cheat. But what she did to me will forever stick with me and I guess I took it out on you. Thinking you were gonna be just like her- but your not, doll.” “You are so much more than that. You mean everything to me.” He pressed a kiss to your lips and gave you a hug. “I love you, doll.” You tensed slightly. This was the first time he said it first fully. It was either a “I know, doll” or just hugs and kisses on the cheek. But this time. This time was different. You knew that Dallas was the one for you. And he knows that your the one for him. Yeah so what, y’all two have y’all’s bickering every now and then. But it’s what couples do! He loves you with every ounce of good in him. The weather was bad.

It was storming and there was lightning and thunder so that didn’t help at all

It boomed so loud that he heard you scream from across the hall

He was knocked out of his trance when he heard you

He heard footsteps running through the hall and you barged in with your blankets and pillows

“You up? Good. Move over.” You said as you threw your blankets and pillows on him and jumped onto his bed, getting under his sheets and covers as fast as you can.

He was shocked but he wasn’t stupid

He could tell by your actions that you were scared of the storm

You had time to think over your actions and you realized how much of a fool you’ve made of yourself.

“Sorry..” he heard from underneath the cover

His heart melted.

At the fact that even though Buck was there

You ran to him

You relied on him to protect you

And that made him feel strong

“It’s no problem.. you’re welcome anytime you want.” He said, pulling the blanket from over your face

He laid back against his pillow

But it’s the moment that he knew that he wanted to protect you from everything

“Thanks dal.” You said as you pulled the sheets up and over you, laying next to him

His breath hitched as he felt your arm around him

He was no doubt, at least 50 shades of red

He stayed still

He didn’t dare to move

He was afraid that you would move away from him

The lightning lit up the dark room, the thunder booming after it

You jumped slightly

He hesitantly put his arm around you, keeping you safe

You two soon fell asleep in each others arms

The next morning, Dallas was woken up to Mark barging into his room

He shushed mark, pointing at your sleeping frame, his arm still around your figure

The bar opened and you got into your outfit.

Since there was a huge party tonight that you looked nice so you picked out a black dress that hugged your figure in all the right places and a pair of white heels.

You washed all of the cups and set them up and put the alcohol in the fridge with ice and all the flavorings in their dispensers.

You started setting up decorations

You put LED lights all around the ceiling corners and set them on a bar appropriate color

Dallas walked in after his shower

He looked at you with adoration

He almost couldn’t look away

Until mark called his name

He walked up to mark, grabbing a pool stick

He kept looking back at you, making quick glances

You saw him staring and waved at him and smiled sweetly

He waved back at you, completely hypnotized by you

You went back to what you were doing and Dallas finally tore his eyes away from you

He started playing pool and he was doing really good

You started making a drink that you thought would be good

You knew Dallas drank sometimes you drank too but you were on duty so you walked up to him and tapped his shoulder

He looked at you and smiled

You smiled at him

“Can you try this and tell me if it’s good or not?” You said, holding up the cup and which showed an ombre of different colors

He tried it and said it was really good

You smiled, very proud of yourself and walked back to the bar

He stared as you walked away, completely missing his shot

Mark laughed

“She’s really got a hold of you, don’t she”
