In traditional African culture, white is the color used to symbolize death and grief for funerals

Ok But Like, Has Anyone Else Noticed That In The Beginning Of BP:WF, Shuri’s Wardrobe Is Mostly White

and then, at the very end of the film when everything is over, Shuri is wearing black while burning the funeral clothes.

I think it’s really cool how ever detail in this movie symbolizes Shuri’s grief and development as a character, and the clothes show that. Big fuckin props to Ruth E. Carter
