I this this on a a japanese song only playlist and a wave of hiperfixation. So heres the context: Yuno (Yuu) and Leona were newly married and lived on his family’s land. On the night after the Town Below festival, Yuno returned home to find not only her husband’s family dead but also her younger brother, Grimm. Leona was the only one still alive, but as she tried to lead him down the mountain, she discovered that he was no longer human.

Silver, a demon slayer, confronted Leona. However, after witnessing him protect Yuno, he chose to spare the newly turned demon’s life, and send the couple to his master, Lilia.

Vil and Rook are the Tamayo and Yuuchiro of this universe. Vil lived more than 300 years only on serving face and hate, nonetheless showed kindness by helping Yuno and Leona after their encounter with the Demon King.

Ace and deuce are both slayers, one ranking above yuu. The three met during a mission, and the two decided to stick by her side from that point on.

“Here, I made you some tea.”

“Did you make some tea, or did your mom make some?” You ask. Judging by the jilted halt in Hyuga’s movements, that almost sent the tray and snacks overboard, you must be right.

“I-It doesn’t matter who actually made it! It just matters that I brought it for you!”

You gave a hum in confirmation as you reach for a senbei. “I suppose. Tell your mom I said thanks.” You could hear Hyuga growl over the loud crunch of the crispy cracker in your mouth.

He sat down on the floor beside you, both of you using his bed as a back rest rather than sitting on it. “So, you wanted to watch a movie?” You ask. Reconfirming why you were over here.

“Yes. But now I almost don’t want to, with the way you’re acting.” He muttered as he fidgeted with his glasses.

“Oh come on Hyuga. I was only teasing. I just don’t know why you made it sound so urgent to hang out when you don’t want to really do anything.” Not that you didn’t enjoy these lazy afternoons, but the way he had acted when he asked you to come over seemed life or death.

“We just haven’t seen each other a lot recently.” He confessed. You supposed that was true. Between his training schedule with the team and your academic schedule, you had barely seen each other except in classes or passing in the halls.

“Did you miss me?” You ask, meaning for it to be a tease.

You weren’t expecting Hyuga to answer back so honestly with a, “yes,” looking into your eyes with that earnest determination of his. His hand found yours in the carpet to hold it. “And…I want to make sure you’re taking care of yourself, [Y/N]. School is important, but not more important than your health. I know how you get sometimes.”

His statement caused you to blink a few times in surprise. Yes, it was true. You had a bad habit of neglecting all things other than your school work when you ‘got on a roll’. But Hygua had no room to criticize. “Says the man who once didn’t sleep for 48 hours beings he was ‘too busy’ hand painting his new figurines for his Romance of the Three Kingdoms diorama.”

The boy came to a jilted halt again, looking ready to gear up and defend himself, but before he could you lean in and give him a peck on the lips. “So we’ll just take care of each other then. I really do appreciate you wanting to do some ‘self-care’ stuff with me. It’s really sweet.”

Whatever argument Hyuga had died on in his mouth with a fumbled sputter. His cheeks red, before stuffing them with rice crackers from the table to distract you from it.

You curl up beside him as you watch the movie. Then another. You supposed not doing anything was important too. It was nice to take a break.

Mitobe

You growl as you crumple up the practice test in front of you, throwing it into the waste basket by your desk with the others. You were never going to get into your university of choice with scores like these!

Maybe you were just getting stupider, but you seemed to be doing worse and worse as time went on. Usually when people study for days on end they get better, but nooooo. Apparently not you.

‘Idiot….’

Just about ready to beat yourself up some more, you hear the bell at the front door and get up to go get it. Your knees and your back were killing you, sitting over your desk for so long, and you make a mental note to stretch more. But when would you find the time?

“Mitobe-kun?” You remark in surprise when you see your boyfriend at the door. He offered you a soft smile, typical of his character, in return. “What are you doing here? I told you I would be studying all weekend and wouldn’t have time to hang out.”

He continued to smile and lifted up a neatly wrapped bento he then offered to you. Your stomach immediately growled. “Oh…thank you. I guess I haven’t eaten yet today.” Actually, when was the last time you had eaten? “I’ll eat this later. I have to get back to studying. Is that all you needed?” He lifted a thermos in his hands this time, matching the bento. “What is that? Tea? I don’t really have time to have tea with you Mitobe-kun. I need to get back to…” His face feel into a sad, practically heart broken expression and you can only sigh and step aside. “Alright, alright. We can have some tea together. But only for a little bit! I need to get back to studying. I’m serious. These practice tests are killing me.”

Mitobe poured the tea for you both while you were at the table. Listening to your problems as you complain about the practice tests, and not being good enough, and concerned about not getting into a good school. He doesn’t really say much, as usual. But still, you both seem to be holding an active conversation and ‘talking’ to Mitobe did make you feel better.

While you drink your tea, you open up the bento he made you. It was delicious! He was always a good cook, helping out with his large family, but this meal was particularly delicious. Maybe it was because you were starving. Maybe it was because he made it just for you.

After you ate, and Mitobe watched you eat, you move to the couch to finish your tea and curled up with him. “Thanks Mitobe-kun.” You mutter into his chest as you wrap your arms around him.

“You’re welcome [Y/N].” He softly whispered back into your hair.

You take your practice tests again and were suddenly doing fantastic. Maybe the answer to a problem sometimes wasn’t to keep trying to go over the wall, but take a step back. Or maybe boyfriend cuddles and hot tea were the answer to academic success.
