Writing Tip!
Behavior is a hard thing to nail down with humans, though their are tricks for it. One I learned is that if a character is going to lie make a scale from one to ten and rate how dense other characters are. From their you’ll be able pin point who sees through the lie and who doesn’t.
It’s over, why are you still reading?
Here’s a tip for those who are new to writing characters!
Characters who actually feel real are hard to weight without experience! Try writing characters based on the people around you first. It’s easier to write about someone you’ve talked to before!
Writing tip over.
My throat hurts really badly now :(
I was on a walk and as I passed by the local pool I heard one of the kids exclaim “Look! It’s Hedwig!” and all of the kids come over to look. I looked over right on time to see the pained face of a swimming instructor who had read all of Harry Potter. Like she looked at the owl and then back at the kids with a face that just said “oh…. You poor sweet souls…. You haven’t gotten to that part yet… oh no.”
So uh…. I made a campaign where everyone is lying to each other (except the cat that’s getting high all time) and the chaos that’s ensuing is WONDERFUL. They literally had a 1 hour fight about wether one person has green eyes or not because of this.
Ive been reading my old diary a passage a day. Back then I would list off my schedule that day and then right anything eventful that happened that day. However, my 9th grade self decided to just right “AHHH my bobs :(“ under swimming and not give ANY context. (I looked back through the diary and figured out we were diving that day which I was terrible at.)
Somewhere, at sometime, someone looked at you and smiled. I don’t know the reason why, but at some point you made someone smile. And that’s enough. Your doing a good job.
