Secondly, I'm really glad it seems like some of his scarier aspects are coming through well! I'm working pretty hard to walk the line between 'this guy is a freak but I like freaks so I'm into it' and 'this guy is an actual terrifying monster'.

hihi! i was wondering, what does Lowell have MC wear to bed? i'm sure he has a selection of silky nightgowns and other pretty stuff like that, but would he be okay if the MC just wanted to wear something comfy like an oversized T-shirt and undies? they'd even wear a t-shirt of his if he let them c: i myself don't think i could ever fall asleep wearing lace or silk, esp not with my sensory issues with the textures of certain fabrics lol

Lowell is autistic and totally understands sensory issues- part of how he got into sewing was his distaste of certain fabrics and things like tags on store bought clothes, so he's very happy to accommodate sensory needs when he's dressing you up/making clothes for you!

While he finds the idea of putting you to bed in silks and lace charming, he wouldn't push it, and would probably just find/make some really cute ultracomfy shirts and underwear for you with safe fabrics for your sensory needs!

Lowell himself doesn't really have any t shirts. He works in button ups and work slacks, and he sleeps so infrequently that he usually just ends up passing out in his work clothes, so he doesn't have a lot of 'casual' clothing. If he wants to be comfy around the house it's usually just his boxers and one of his huge collection of cute aprons, maybe with a little camisole under it. You'd have to get closer to him him get treated with that view, though ;^)

I'm notifying you all that I'm putting a brief hiatus on answering asks while I focus my attention on finishing my yandere game jam entry!

The ask box will remain open-feel free to send any asks you like my way, just keep in mind that it will take me a moment to get to them.

For those of you with asks currently in that they have not yet seen answered- don't worry! I'm not ignoring you, just directing my spoons a little more intentionally towards FoE in order to produce the best playing expeirence I can with the limited remaining time I have. I'm optimistically hoping for about a week of additional work on FoE before it's complete. After that, I'll take a week or two to cool off and answer asks before returning to developing the Darling Dollhouse demo!

how would Lowell treat an MC who is an exterme germaphobe, and would mentally break down if something dirty touches them

It depends on how it presents and what triggers the MCs conception of 'dirty'. He has a lot of old things in poor condition that aren't technically unclean but definitely aren't in good shape and have rust, dust, or significant wear on them. He keeps his space pretty tidy, and years of working in kitchens has made him pretty good at sanitation protocols. Altogether he'd probably end up way overusing bleach or other sanitizing sprays, and his poor hands would probably be a chapped, peeling mess from how often he washes them in an effort to make MC feel like it was safe to touch him.
