Sally was the only parent Percy had for the first thirteen years of his life and he was already a kind, compassionate, and loving person far before Paul and Poseidon entered his life and that was because of Sally’s amazing parenting. The way Percy respects all the women around him, the way he treats everyone with kindness unless proven undeserving, his undying loyalty to all of his loved ones and his protective nature. That is all because of Sally and she clearly didn’t need a man to raise Percy to be the wonderful young man he is
