I've been a little obsessed with a half baked oc from a half-baked story of mine. She is a Skywings, the stripes are painted on
I really like both your pencil art and your digital art. I've always struggled with dragon necks, how do you determine the thickness of the neck from different perspectives?
Well, I draw automatically, and I don't pay attention to it, because I've been drawing for many years, but in general it's individual. As a standard, I draw dragons with a neck of the same thickness, sometimes I slightly thicken it towards the body, but for earthen dragons, for example, I make the neck thicker, but the principle is the same. Well, everything depends on the shape of the dragon, because, for example, it can be wide on one side, as shown below, and this will only be visible from a certain angle, at a certain turn.
If there are problems with the construction, then you can use cylinders or ellipses in the sketch, turned in the right direction of the neck. In addition, this can make it easier to draw shadows (second picture)

i feel like the knowledge that there are some medical databases with free-to-use 3D scans of various human organs available for 3D printing would have drastically reduced tumblrs amount of bone stealing scandals. plus you can make ones that glow in the dark.
look at my glow in the dark humerus boy
I always assumed boats were used for hauling cargo like large loads of fish or whale pieces. Keeping sharks away from them and maybe adding a top to keep the birds off
OK HEAR ME OUT:
it's cannon that dragons wear glasses, but, like, what about seawings? Obviously you can't wear glasses underwater. Do you think they have like- some super cool special glasses??? I don't think it was ever mentioned in the series, nor do we meet a seawing with glasses.
WELL, WHAT IF:
That's why boats exist! It is cannon that boats exist and are used by seawings. Maybe seawings who can't swim large distances underwater because they need glasses sail instead? IDK IT SEEMS COOL
BUT TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK I'M KINDA STUPID
Lineart and coloring of Coil Drake skull anatomy. Coil Drakes, belong to a group of wyvernids defined by their serpent-like bodies and mobile maxilla called Snake Wyverns. All types of snake wyverns use their mobile maxilla as a means to process food, by moving their maxilla in an up and down motion to slice and crush their food. Coil drakes are unique among snake wyverns as they possess all four of their limbs compared to Lindwyrms who only have their arms remaining and Wyrms which have lost all their limbs. These drakes get their name for their long serpentine bodies and their habit to coil their bodies upon itself when resting.
Wyvernids are diapsids like all reptiles but aren't true reptiles. Belonging to a group of stem reptiles defined by the presence of two middle ear bones instead of the one of other reptiles and the three present in mammals. Allowing them to hear higher frequencies, around 30kHz compared to the 5kHz of reptiles, 10kHz of birds, and the over 50kHz most mammals can hear. Wyvernids are also defined by goethite nanofibers in their bones, like limpet teeth, making their bones the strongest seen in nature. The last distinction between Wyvernids and other reptiles is their lack of a cloaca, instead possessing a genital slit with their anus, and excretory organs all being separate openings in the genital slit.
Muppet is a great name for a chicken
My friends, it’s a very special day - Muppet laid her very first egg! It was absolutely amazing to see her hatch and grow up from a tiny chick into a lovely little pullet, and now she’s laying eggs of her own! I’m so thankful that I get to share a life with these precious animals.
Nice
Okay so just as an experiment since the point of the Peril design I made was supposed to be "relatively quick to finish" I decided to see how fast I could actually finish it??
So for once my daily dragon is in full color vectorized. Took me, uh... checks notes three hours, once I remove the hour for eating dinner in the middle there?? Not bad!!
I skipped a lot of the polish stuff I do for my more committed full illustrations? Like there's no color variation in her face and her eyes are vastly simplified, but if I was going to actually make a PMV I imagine I'd take similar steps if not more drastic ones. So I think that's pretty fitting.
Hell yeah

I like Wings of Fire and Cult of The Lamb. I like to animate and I'm still struggling to find my own art style
