Can I Request Headcanon Of Jason Todd/Red Hood (Under The Red Hood Movie) Being With Fem S/o Who Can

The door slamming open and shut had become a sound you were used to. Months ago it would have startled you, made you jump nearly out of your skin, especially given the area you found yourself living in. Now, however, the sound was almost comforting to you.

The slam of the door meant your boyfriend was home, alive, but from the sluggish sound of his footsteps, not uninjured. You paused what you were doing, carefully chopping vegetables for the stew you had been planning on making.

You set the knife down, washing your hands rather quickly, before making your way into the living room. Sure enough, Jason was sat on the couch, having taken his helmet off himself, sweaty and breathing heavily, his eyes shut.

His hair was nearly plastered to his forehead, and he didn't open his eyes to your entrance, despite hearing your footsteps grow closer. You took stock of his appearance, cuts and fresh bruises lined his cheeks, and you were sure there were other injuries beneath his armor if the thin trail of blood from your doorway was any indicator.

"You should see the other guy," Was the first sentence he offered you, lips curled in an attempt of a smirk, but his labored breathing made it appear more of a grimace.

"I'd rather not waste my time looking at dead bodies," Despite your worry, you joked back, voice soft as you knelt down in front of him.

He cracked open his eyes, sighing as he took in your sight. Your eyebrows were furrowed with worry, eyes raking over his appearance, no doubt calculating just how injured he was. He shifted, leaning towards you, prying a glove off before caressing your cheek, thumb softly brushing the cheek bone.

"I'm fine."

You rolled your eyes, rather used to hearing that line fall from his lips, "You and I both know that's a lie," You stood up, hands on your hips, "Take the armor off."

He raised an eyebrow, trying to deflect your concern, "Take me to dinner first."

You barely rose to the bait, "Dinner will be ready sooner if you let me treat your injuries without a fight."

The two of you stared at each other for a silent moment, before he relented. He had never thought he'd meet someone whose stubbornness outweighed his, and he never would have thought that someone as sweet as you could be harder-headed than him.

"Alright, alright," He hated that he was struggling to remove his own armor, muscles sore and screaming at him.

You shook your head as he dropped his clothes onto the ground, stepping forward, tender hands pressing gently to his skin. You started on his face first, palms cupping his jaw, and he relaxed into your hold, the warmth of your hands fighting the nippy cold from outside that still lingered in his bones.

You made a soft tsk, and he felt the odd sensation of the cuts on his cheek closing themselves up, not having to open his eyes to know that your gaze was unwavering, eyes glowing inhumanly, the color a brighter hue of the normal ones he fell in love with.

"The scars will fade quickly," You murmured, voice low as you moved your hands from his face, gently pressing against his shoulders, biceps, forearms, taking assessment of the damage.

He opened his eyes to watch you, a smile forming on his face as you continued muttering to yourself, cursing him for trying to hide his injuries, easily reversing the damage that had occurred to him hours before.

"Jason Todd," You scolded, pressing your hands against his ribs, eyes narrowing into a glare, "You were going to hide broken ribs from me?"

He chuckled sheepishly, "I've handled worse."

"Doesn't mean you have to now," He felt energy buzz under his skin, sucking in a quick breath as he felt his ribs fuse back together, "I'll do whatever I can to make sure of that."

He knew that, he knows that. But more often than not he feels as if he's taking advantage of you, of your abilities. He didn't know if your powers made you selfless, or if your selflessness manifested your powers. But he does know that you would run yourself ragged if it meant you could help every injured or ill-ridden person you came across.

He didn't want to admit it to anyone, let alone the rest of the stupid bird family of his, but he did go out of his way now to avoid massive injuries. If he came back with just a few scratches or bruises, he could talk you out of healing him, telling you paper cuts hurt worse than the injuries he had now.

He had less luck when he came home with cracked bones or bullet holes. He knew, and you knew, he would heal faster than normal thanks to the Lazarus Pit, but your powers worked almost instantly. You'd rather heal him immediately, rather than let him set for a few hours, body healing itself.

In a matter of five minutes, all his injuries were gone, leaving nothing but dried blood and faint scaring in their places. You sat back on your heels, eyes their normal shade, smiling up at him.

"There you are," You stood, leaning to place a soft, quick kiss to his lips, pulling back to run a hand through his hair, "Good as new."

"You enjoy playin' doctor, huh?"

The blush on your cheeks had him grinning like mad, and you rolled your eyes to avoid eye contact. He caught your hand in his, resting your knuckles against his lips, "Thanks doll."

You went to move, more than likely heading back to finish tonight's meal, but a flash of white caught his eye, and he grabbed your hand, turning it palm up. You stood, eyebrow raised in confusion as he ran his fingers across your skin gently, feeling the rough bandage across your palm.

"What happened?"

Your lips formed a quick 'o', grinning almost sheepishly, "I nicked myself cutting the carrots a bit earlier," You let him fiddle with your hand, your fingers for a moment longer, shrugging, "It's fine, I dressed it."

"I wish you could heal yourself."

He had found himself saying that so many times, wishing you could use your abilities selfishly. You healed him, no questions asked. You used to babysit some of the kids in the area, kissing away scraps and bruises under the guise that kisses healed everything when they looked at you in wonder. You held injured birds, cats, and dogs in the alleyways, taking care of their illnesses brought by hunger, correcting broken wings and crooked paws like it was as simple as breathing.

But whenever you were injured, struck down by a fever, found yourself in a situation where you needed help, you were helpless to do anything for yourself.

Your powers, Jason thought, were a blessing and a curse.

You shrugged, "Even if I could, wasting my abilities on a little cut? I'm fine."

His gaze met yours, and you understood the look he was giving you. You were repeating his own sentiments to him now, but you stood by it. Even if you could heal yourself, there were others who needed your energy and powers more than you did. Why would you have been born with this power if not to help others?

That's the notion you were raised on, and while Jason wanted you to put yourself first, protect yourself over strangers in the streets, he also knew that mindset was why the two of you met.

No one else would have rushed to the side of a downed Red Hood in the streets, covered in a mixture of his blood and the blood of those he killed. Everyone else would have run off or ignored him, but you rushed to his side, not asking questions, not trying to remove his hood or armor, hands placed where ever you could put them, and before he knew it, the dizziness brought on by blood loss was gone.

The rest was history.

He stood up, "Let me redress it at least," He squeezed your hand gently, "A lifetime of healing and you don't even know how to properly apply a band-aid."

You pouted but laughed along as he dragged you behind him to the bathroom, the first aid kit he forced you to buy still laying out on the counter.

You chattered away, talking about how your day had been, the kittens you saw coming back from the store earlier, how you got rid of their flea-ridden infections, and how you went back a few hours later and set up a box with some blankets in it for them. You mentioned keeping an eye on them, and bringing them home if no one claimed them in the next few days. He listened intently, cleaning the cut and dabbing some neosporin on it, wishing he could do more for your injuries, regardless of how small there were.

He'd do whatever he was able to though, wrapping any cuts you got, icing any bruises that appeared, he'd carry you everywhere if you required him to. He'd do that for as long as you'd let him.

Sorry, I had no idea how to end it. I hope you liked it!

꧁✬◦°⋆⋆°◦. 𝓜𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓵𝓮𝓽𝓸𝓮 ◦°⋆⋆°◦✬꧂

꧁✬◦°⋆⋆°◦. 𝓚𝓮𝓷𝓶𝓪 𝔁 𝓡𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓻 ◦°⋆⋆°◦✬꧂

A/N: I got sick, sorry these are all gonna be so late.

At the team's holiday party, you and your boyfriend do your best to avoid his best friend, who seems way too determined to get you two trapped under the mistletoe for you first kiss.

꧁✬◦°⋆⋆°◦. 𝓜𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓵𝓮𝓽𝓸𝓮 ◦°⋆⋆°◦✬꧂

This wasn't the first time you and Kenma had been invited somewhere as a couple, yet from the way his team fawned over the two of you, you'd have thought it was.

It wasn't always bad, sometimes it was sweet; Yaku teased the two of you sure, but he noticed whenever you or your boyfriend were uncomfortable and backed off, Kai simply made sweet remarks about how you two complimented each other well, short phrases that had both you and Kenma beat red.

Kuroo, to no ones surprise, was the worst.

When you two first told him you were dating he thought it was some type of prank; you and Kenma had been pining over each other to him for so long he had grown hopeless. Turns out, late-night video game sessions can do a lot of good.

That being said, this was you first holiday party as a couple, and for almost 90% of the time thus far you two were avoiding said team captain.

It wasn't a big "high school party", there was no spiked eggnog or blasting music. Yamamoto tried and got told off rather humorously. There was food, drinks, some weird American Christmas music Kuroo found, ugly sweaters, and presents.

And mistletoe.

"I can't believe him," Kenma looked like he was trying to burrow himself deeper into his sweater, one you had picked out for him, knowing if you didn't, Kuroo would, and that would have been worse.

You shrugged, taking a sip of your eggnog before making a face; it may not be alcoholic but it wasn't great, "Really? This seems exactly like something he would have done."

Kenma paused, before letting out a rather loud sigh, leaning so he was against your shoulder, curling so his body was angled towards you, "It is. That makes it worse. I should have known he'd do this."

You smiled down at him, though he couldn't see you, "He kept us too busy with party favors to even think about his meddling."

"Stupid ploy of his," Your boyfriend muttered, glaring at the wall in front of him.

"Maybe we can turn the tables? Trap him under some mistletoe with someone else. I'm sure if you called Bokuto he'd come over."

Kenma shook his head, "One, I don't need to deal with Kuroo and Bokuto, secondly, Kuroo would think it was funny and it wouldn't work the way you're thinking."

Sighing, you tilted so your head was rested against his, "Damn."

You could feel him nod, "Damn is right."

The music could be heard through the walls, and you only felt a little bad that you and Kenma were hiding in Kuroo's mom's office. You both knew it was only a matter of time before he came searching there for you, but you'd be ready to either shove him out or book it.

"Maybe we can trick Yaku and Lev under the mistletoe," He suggested quietly, "Cause a distraction so big Kuroo forgets about us."

You hummed, "That works until demon-upperclassmen-Yaku torments you at practice."

He groaned, "Might be worth it."

You laughed quietly, setting your cup down, "You know," You started before you could second guess yourself, feeling the familiar flutter of nerves in your stomach, "If it were more private I wouldn't mind kissing you under mistletoe."

You felt him stiffen against you, and for a moment you screamed at yourself mentally, but he relaxed a second later, a quiet huff of laugh coming from him.

"Yeah," He reached across to take one of your hands into his, "Me too. He's only doing this cause... well," He cut himself off, and curiosity got the best of you when he didn't finish his thought.

You pulled away some, looking at him, your hands still connected, "Well what?"

His cheeks were pink, and he was doing his best to avoid eye contact, "I had... mentioned wanting to kiss you. Maybe. But not knowing when. He joked about mistletoe at the party. But I forgot until we showed up."

You think almost everyone was caught by surprise at the sheer amount of mistletoe hanging from doorways.

You waited, giving him time to feel comfortable looking towards you, a small smile on your face, "You know... you could have asked me?" Your voice was soft, teasing, "Considering I'm your girlfriend, not Kuroo."

He huffed, half-annoyed, half-laughing.

"I'm serious, just ask me if I want to kiss you. No mistletoe necessary."

It took a second for him to fully process what you said, and his eyes widened a fraction. He visibly swallowed, his grip on your hand tightening slightly.

"Will... can I kiss you?"

The simple question, even if you were expecting it, had butterflies explode in your stomach, your heart fluttering in your chest. Your palms felt embarrassingly sweaty.

"Yes."

You'd, embarrassingly, imagined what your first kiss would be like when you were younger. Entering your teens, it seemed like the biggest deal in the world. You'd have this prince charming of a boyfriend, someone boisterous who took you on spontaneous dates, someone who dipped you under the stars for your first kiss.

No part of you had imagined having your first kiss, hiding away in your friend's mom's office to avoid public humiliation at his goading.

No part of you imagined how it actually felt. All those dreams felt so silly now.

Kenma's lips were warm against yours, your hands still holding one another's. The kiss didn't go any further than this, and it only lasted but a few seconds, but it was enough.

He pulled back first, cheeks far more red than they had been when he asked, and you were sure yours were no better. Despite the anxiety that had been clear on his face, he was smiling, something so soft it made all those nerves disappear as if they'd never been there before.

"Think that was better without the mistletoe," You murmured, and he nodded in agreement.

It was quiet between the two of you for a moment, before--

"There you two are!" Kuroo was standing in the doorway, looking a bit frazzled.

You and Kenma didn't have time to react, but it seemed like Kuroo was too focused on something else to even notice.

"I'm hiding with you, I got Yaku and Lev under the mistletoe and I think--"

"Kuroo Tetsurou!"

⋆˚。⋆୨✧୧˚ 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑶𝒏𝒆: 𝑺𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒍 ˚୨✧୧⋆。˚⋆

"God, please," You felt your brain quite literally throbbing in your skull, "Stop talking for five seconds."

You didn't have to lift your head from your hands to imagine the look on Kuroo's face; a stupid mixture of smug, concern, and amusement. Every time you were subjected to that stare you were tempted to slap it off of him. Or kiss it off of him. One would more than likely result in the end of your friendship, so you kept your lips to yourself.

“Oh come on,” You heard him try and hide his laughter, and doing a poor job of it, “It’s really not that hard.”

“Says you,” You glared at him through your fingers, “Mr. Know-it-all.”

He rolled his eyes, putting the pencil that he was twirling down, “You were starting to get it earlier.”

“Then you started adding to it!” You took one of the crumbled sheets from the floor and threw it, watching as he did nothing but let it bounce off his head, “And you just thought because you get it, that I would too!”

He laughed, deep and loud, and you ignored the flutters in your chest, the way the sound was enough to make your hands sweaty. He leaned back on his palms, “We can call it if you want, the test isn’t till next week anyways.”

You nodded, conceding. “I think if we continue my head will quite literally explode.”

Laying your head on the little table he set up, you let your eyes shut for a moment, the warmth of his room soothed your body, while the coolest of the desk soothed your head. You startled, doing your best not to jump when you felt his fingers move through your hair, hesitantly. It was silent for a few moments, the movements of his hand was soft and light, and the headache you had felt coming on was disappearing.

“We wouldn’t want your head to explode,” He spoke finally, tone teasing but voice soft.

You grumbled, not having a snarky retort or quick jab. You didn’t want to move, but you knew you had to. With a heavy heart, and an over the top, loud groan, you lifted your head up, rubbing at your eyes.

Kuroo was watching you, quiet, not wanting to interrupt the brief moment of tranquility that had fallen upon the two of you. You were clearly tired, still clad in your school uniform, though you had stolen one of his hoodies. He was hoping you forgot to give it back to him, and continued to do so going forward. He hoped you forgot for a good while.

“Ugh,” You stood up, stretching your legs out, “You gonna be a gentleman and give me my bag?”

He rolled his eyes at the sarcasm, but moved regardless, grabbing your bag from his bed. You didn’t ask, but he started packing your notebooks away for you.

You pulled your phone out to check the time, moving to grab your bag from Kuroo, before pausing. You had a several missed calls from your father, as well as unread texts. Telling Kuroo to give you a second, you put your phone to your ear, calling your dad back.

He opened his door, aiming to give you some privacy, jumping as he nearly walked into his mom standing in the hall way. Her hand was raised, as if she was going to knock on his door. He raised an eyebrow towards her questioningly.

“Oh,” She looked mildly worried, “I was hoping she had gone home by now.”

He was grateful that you were on the phone and not standing there, narrowing his eyes, and his mom, realizing how her sentence may sound, quickly waved her hands.

“No, no, not like that! You know she’s always welcome over! I just meant—”

“Snow storm?” Your voice was sharp, cutting off whatever his mom was going to explain.

He heard the sound of his curtains opening, and he turned, seeing the sheer amount of snow outside. There was at least half a meter of snow on the ground, if not more, and the snow was still heavily falling.

He heard his mom sigh, “The weather report says it’s going to keep snowing throughout the night too, and because it came out of nowhere they can’t get any plows or trucks out to clear the roads.”

Whatever conversation you were having with your parents had finished, and you walked over to Kuroo, looking both stressed and rather frazzled.

“Neither of my parents can get over here to get me,” You sighed, tucking your phone into the hoodie pocket, “And they don’t want me trying to walk home.”

“Heavens no,” Kuroo’s mom shook her head, “Neither of you are stepping foot out there any time soon. Honey, you’ll stay here tonight. And however long it takes for them to clear the roads safely enough for either your parents or I to take you home.”

You felt your cheeks warm up lightly, “Oh, I wouldn’t want to impose—”

“It’s not imposing, dear.”

“What other option do you have?”

You laughed lightly as Kuroo’s head was smacked, his mother sending a scolding look his way for his comment, “I’ll go grab you some of my pajamas dear, give me a moment.”

“Aw,” Kuroo turned to you as his mom walked off, “Our first sleep over.”

Rolling your eyes you half heartedly raised your hands in faux excitement, “Yay.”

He pouted, and you weren’t fast enough to avoid his stupidly long arms, wrapping you in a too tight hug that nearly swept you off your feet, “Don’t worry— Kenma says my snorings gotten better.”

“I’ll smother you in your sleep,” You threatened, voice muffled from his shoulder digging into your cheek.

He let you go, but you weren’t able to get your footing, swaying and nearly falling backwards. His arms retightened, this time around your waist to keep you from toppling over.

“Sorry,” The teasing tone was gone, and for a moment he actually sounded sheepish, and you tilted your head up, ready to scold him.

Your noses were millimeters apart, and this close you could feel his breath against your face. With anyone else it would be uncomfortable, but with Kuroo it felt… nice. He smelled like the coffee he had gotten on his way home, and whatever cologne or deodorant you had begun to associate with him.

"I found- oh!" The sound of his mothers voice startled the two of you, and his arms quickly released you, doing nothing but allowing you to lose your balance.

Thankfully you caught yourself, both your faces warm, and his mother stood in the doorway, some folded-up clothes in her hands, "I'll leave these here," She placed them on the dresser, closer to Kuroo's door, moving to walk back downstairs, "Keep the door open tonight!"

She called the last bit over her shoulder, and you watched with amusement, and your own embarrassment, as Kuroo's face reddened more, calling after his mom in shock.

You and Kuroo had been friends for years, ever since middle school. You and Kenma got along, but you both knew Kuroo better than the other. Though you and the blonde weren't above teaming up against the older one.

"Sorry about her," He rubbed the back of his neck, "She's... well..."

You waved him off, laughing quietly, "It's fine. She means well."

The silence between you two felt a bit more awkward now, neither sure of what to say to break the tension. You moved first, grabbing the clothes, "I'm going to go change."

Kuroo watched you scurry off to the bathroom, waiting till you were out of earshot before groaning, burying his face in his hands, and falling onto his bed. A ping from his phone distracted him, and he checked it, no surprise at seeing Kenma having messaged him.

snow storm tonight

really? had no idea it interrupted our study session

you mean study date?

it wasn't a date! i'd take her on a better date than studying for chemistry NOT that i'm saying i want to take her on a date

you're a bad liar even over text

i'll make you run laps with yamamoto next practice

He watched the text bubbles pop up, Kenma no doubt cursing his entire existence in the safety of his bedroom.

you're cruel

He snorted at that, ready to respond when-

just tell her you like her please the pining is hurting all of us it's sickening

"Should I be concerned your mom has cute taste when it comes to pajamas?"

Your voice startled him, despite fully hearing you wander back down the hall to his room. He threw his phone back onto his bed, panicking that you'd, somehow, read the texts from all the way in his doorway. You didn't, and wouldn't have, but you were now suspicious, eyeing him weirdly.

"Everything good?"

"Just dandy," He smiled, trying to convey some type of calm attitude, "Just texting Kenma."

You nodded slowly, folded clothes in hand, and you moved, placing them with your bookbag, "Hopefully he's trapped at home and not somewhere else."

Kuroo snorted, "He's at home. Probably already playing whatever game he got recently. No school, no practice, it's his own personal heaven."

You laughed, organizing your items meticulously. He was very aware of the buzzing of his phone, no doubt it was still Kenma, calling him a coward in some form of the word. You were talking to him, something about school, or practice, or literally anything, but he couldn't hear you very well. His heart rate had yet to slow down since you wandered back in, Kenma's texts still in his mind.

just tell her you like her

It sounds so simple, yet as he sat on his bed, staring at you, it felt anything but. You were everything he liked in a girl, and even more. You were snarky and sweet, you got along with Kenma and Kuroo's parents, you didn't fully understand volleyball but you went to games to cheer them on whenever you could. You were dedicated and kind, but you were also so quick to put Kuroo in his place whenever it was needed. Which, according to Yaku, was a lot.

His thoughts were on a roll now, a runaway train where you were the only passanger.

" - are you even listening to me?"

"Are you free next weekend?"

His question came out almost as a shout, and it stunned you for a moment. You had been telling him about the stupid drama going on in your foreign language class, gossip he normally was absorbed in, but he was far away, stuck in whatever thoughts were going on in his mind. He had gotten fidgety where he sat, staring at you.

"Next weekend? Why?" You looked at him, trying to understand the anxiety that was creeping over him; a rare look for him.

"Like... Saturday?"

"I should be?"

"Doyouwanttogoonadate?"

“Do I—” You processed it a second after you started asking the question, face burning, heart hammering.

A date? He was asking you on a date?

“I—”

He turned away, forcing his gaze to focus on the heavy snow still falling outside, thicker on the ground than it had been minutes ago.

As subtly as you could, you grabbed a bit of skin between your fingers and pinched, the sharp pain sending prickles through your arm. Not dreaming. Okay.

Holy shit Kuroo just asked you on a date.

You licked your lips, noting the way he sat tense, as if waiting a blow up or rejection, “As long as it’s better than studying for school, yes.”

His head snapped towards you, eyes wide before the shock melted away, a giant grin forming on his face. “I dunno— I’d say we have pretty great chemistry together.”

“I take it back.”

“Nope!” He nearly leapt off his bed, crowding your space, “No take backs! We’ll go on a date next week. No studying, no text books, hopefully no getting stuck somewhere because of a snow storm.”

His energy was contagious, and soon you found yourself giggling with him, laughing at absolutely nothing.

“I really will need you two to sleep with the door open tonight,” His mom’s voice startled you two again, and you laughed, a bit sharp and surprised as he turned towards his door, calling out a sharp, “Mom!”

"I didn't comment on a fic I liked because I don't think the author would care or remember my comment anyway". fanfic writer here, I still remember comments I got on my fics from seven years ago. I still think about them and they still make me smile. your kind comments are what motivates us and what helps us keep writing.

I personally know writers who take screenshot and print out comments they got from their readers.

TL;DR comments matter to us writers more than you think. if you like a fanfic, never be shy to let the author know ♡
