I've been playing this escape room series lately, called "Rusty Lake." I highly recommend it for the puzzle solving and for the spooks! Also dark shadowy figures is my cup o tea π
Iβm selling the original print of my Marceline piece! Check out my Etsy store for more details π
I've been listening to AJR and their newest album, "Neotheater," so I was inspired to draw some colorful fanart! Their songs helped me a lot in getting through bad days, but also good ones. What I appreciate about them is how they can sing about growing up, in a way thatβs relatable, whimsical, and heartfelt. I'm really excited to see them in SF this coming September, and like one of their songs stated, I can't wait to see what they do next! ππΆ

I made this piece a few months back and it took me enough mental strength to finally post what I have. The older version seemed somber and still, so I intensified the melancholy look, on how grief and heartache can continue to hold on after the moment(s) has passed.
But instead of trying to "Not think about it" or forget, sometimes it's best to get in tune with how you're feeling, imagining this feeling like a temporary visitor. Sit with it, hold its hand, tell it, "I see you, I hear you," and when you're ready, let them leave, until the next time if or when they come back.
Here's to peace, here's to healing, and here's to feeling your feelings this holiday season β¨

"Don't worry, you're among friends." Is it me, or does anyone else get these mellow, nostalgic vibes during the Fall season? When the falling leaves turn golden and the weather (slowly) gets chillier, it's justπ One of the reasons why Autumn is my favorite season is seeing the vivid changes outside. The gradual changes showing that time is still moving, even when it doesn't feel like it sometimes. I like to think that they're reminders that moments will pass. And especially during this time now, this gives me lots of peace these days. Anyways, I hope you all are doing well and having a good start to the week ππ§‘

The roomies suggested giraffes for this prompt so... fire elemental! π₯π¦π₯
For this post, I wanted to highlight someone who I've recently been looking up to, and that is: Rowena Tsai!
I get so much encouragement from her posts, and she just seems like a kind, genuine soul.
I find it humbling when Rowena talks about her personal struggles and flaws in her YouTube videos. She provides a positive, gentle take to those issues, along with book/article recommendations and inspiring quotes.
For that, I'm thankful for artists and bloggers who use their own vulnerability and put their narratives out there that I really resonate with.
One of the phrases that she uses the most is, "voice hug!" so I like to think that this is a creative way of giving her a hug!
Thank you @rowenatsai for all that you do π
