"Angel's madness" AU

strange name isn't it? Anyways I have an AU idea for Gravity Falls!!! (Because why not?)

So basically, the AU takes place a year or two before Ford meets Bill, during the time when he was just studying the falls. Everything up until that point is the same as canon, except for oneee... tiny... detail.

Stanley Pines dies.

Probably not original, but he didn't kill himself. Rico did that for him! Stan finally got caught by the guy (so ooc) and was murdered, but not before he got his eyes ripped out or something.

And, because I can't process watching a character I love die, HE COMES BACK AS A FRIGGIN' ANGEL! Due to the aftermath of having his eyes ripped out and probably a bunch more injuries on him, and the trauma of dying and returning to life, Stanley goes mad! Yipe!

Since Stanley has now perished and returned to end literally anything due to his madness, he starts causing multiple disappearances (Don't worry, he's just a silly little angel with silly little powers), killing each member of the gang he was once apart of, Rico going last because Stan wants him to suffer.

After all the murder, Stan is slowly drawn towards Gravity Falls due it the place being a weirdness magnet. He haunts the dreams of anyone he chooses, but...

He finds Ford hanging around Gravity Falls.

It brings some lost and broken part back to Stan. A... protective side. The same one he had when he was protecting Ford from bullies in the past.

And so, with barely enough sanity, he decided: "I'm going to become one of those guardian angel type guys!" And proceeded to start visiting Ford in his dreams, along with protecting Ford whenever the nerd is in danger.

Lemme explain about what happens in Ford's dreams whenever Stan decides to hop in. The dream always starts out like any other dream, but Ford always saw a strange version of Stan in the distance, his eyes bandaged and just... watching him.

whenever Stan protects Ford in the real world, he doesn't show himself, only doing so if Ford is in a really bad situation. (which is sometimes, but Ford doesn't really see WHO is saving him.)

And after a few times of Ford being saved, he starts to wonder: "What the heck? Am I being protected by a ghost?". Being a silly scientist guy, Ford starts doing experiments, trying to understand / see the ghost. Most fail, but one works, and Ford saw a glimpse of Stan.

Yeah, perceive this however you want, but i'm just going to put an image of Stan here. Since I don't believe in myself to actually draw the guy, i'll just make him in GL2! (Forgot to mention that Stan kinda acts like a ghost, only Ford can see him if Stan so desires)

The good thing about having his memories erased is that Stan can now rewatch "Duchess Approves" without knowing the ending.

This was supposed to be fluff. Well it is but the other half of this isn't fluff but anyways-

idea 1) Post college Ford (hasn't met Bill) who has 12 year old dipper and 6 year old Stanley in his care while Stan has 12 year old mabel and 6 year old Stanford. Things are a lot more whimsical! well for ford, stanley is currently in mexico (PRE TIJUANA ACCIDENT) so the kids get to see stan use those spanish skiils

2) Pre portal incident era (aka bill traumatizes Ford era) Ford with both Stanley AND Stanford while Stanley has Dipper and Mabel. (both sets of twins are 12) could still be a bit more fluff

3) this is the real angsty one, but pre portal incident Ford with 12 year old mabel and 17 year old Stanley and Stan with 12 year old Dipper and 17 year old Ford. This is just angst.

this is the most recent one i drew, i literally just finished it, but unlike the others, it took all day! more effort was put into it because i had to figure out the lighting, switch the pine tree for a six fingered hand, and replace the banner of Pacifica in the background (with fiddleford!)

this one is the second one i drew, and i think it's just so cute! i know it usually goes Mabel -> Stan and Dipper -> Ford but for me it really depends on the screenshot- this is the scene where they're watching the mystery shack after Gideon just took over, and I didn't really have to do much for the background, since there was a frame of these bushes before they popped out of them

This one I like not just because of them, but because of the background- see the parts i drew in? No? Good! That's the goal! But yeah Mabel's hair took up quite a bit of the background, as well as her sweater, so i had to make it blend in and look natural with what was already there.

This was the first one I did! This whole thing started because I'd just watched Sock Opera and i was being Normal about all of it, so here's a Bill-Ford and Stan! And the journal! Which i based off of the one from lost legends, sorta- I couldn't decide on a good color, and i'm not too good at color theory so yeah. Also, it's hard enough fitting one extra finger onto Dipper and Mabel's 4, but this stupid six fingered freak (/affectionate) made me cram two extra fingers on there.

A Walk In The Coal Forest

(random fanfic i needed to release from my notes)

1979

 Today was a perfect day for Stanford. All his work was organized, he got to find another anomaly creeping around in his basement, and the weather was overall perfect.

 Why not take a walk in the woods? he thought to himself. There was nothing else to do; (besides that one stack of bills from a week ago in the corner, but we don't talk about that.) He quickly grabbed his bag and headed out the door.

 Just as he thought! The temperature was a nice 64°F and the sky was clear, with a few small clouds here and there. The trees swayed rhythmically as the wind blew up in the canopy. 

 Looking ahead, he saw the same path into the woods as he usually took. But, this time, the sun was shining on it in an angle that made it look...majestical. How he missed going on walks with...Never mind.

 He shouldn't dwell on the past like that during a sunny day.

 So, Ford headed down the path, a journal in his hand to document any discoveries on the walk. As he wandered down the path, he couldn't help but notice how...different the woods looked under the light. He hadn't really paid much attention to it in the past due to being busy with his studies, and-

 Ah! Ford had tripped, and dropped his journal a few feet ahead of him. He was so lost in thought, he didn't even notice the upright root in his path. (He could have sworn he heard the sound of fabric ripping. Could be his trench coat, or just his mind playing tricks.) He stood up quickly, brushing himself off.

 Something felt off. The dirt was a bit more muddier, the air was humid and the temperature feels way warmer than before, not to mention the weird smell that filled the air. The sounds of crickets echoed in the forest, unlike before of it being bird calls. 

 A strange (bird?) call filled the air, as a large flying creature flew overhead, stunning him. That could be a new anomaly! He thought to himself with excitement. Quickly, he grabbed his journal (Ick...the back was muddied up.) and sprinted towards the flying creature, only to realize...

The forest looked different.

The trees weren't the usual tall pine trees that towered over him, no. These trees were varying in height, some short and stubby and some tall and flowering. The bark of the trees are also weird, having scaly bark instead of...well, normal bark he was used too.

 Suddenly, he realized something terrifying as he looked up to a very tall tree nearby. It all made sense. He wasn't in Oregon anymore, heck, not even the modern world!

 The tree was a Lepidodendron tree.

 He's in the Carboniferous period.
