I like to hold out hope that one day some external force will permanently alter the universe.

Like one day the sky flashes for unknown reasons and half of everyone on earth is turned into an anthro animal. Or a loud crack is heard across the world and suddenly magic exists.

Am I insane? Yes. However, this would be very fun. And cosmically terrifying. But mostly fun.

The other slugcat is my OC, the Chroma, they have bioluminescent spots all over their body, & can light up on command, allowing them to see in the dark or flash to scare of predators.
