Wolverine writers, you are doing such a service but please, please, please please PLEAASSEEE stop making Logan say bub every other sentence and let us think about the CONTEXTTTT in which he uses bub in the movies, it is NOT a cutesy little nickname đđ
this scene was a standout for me and unexpectedly very moving. Nasha fiercely recognised Mickeyâs humanity. Something that heâd been alienated from by his role as an âexpendableâ. After every death and reprinting Mickey was met with either cold indifference or the type of curiosity afforded to a lab rat. Mickeyâs deaths were played as flippant and humorous till we saw how horrific and torturous theyâd been. He would die and be reprinted repeatedly but she knew he held the memories of every death. Even though there was nothing she could do to stop this death, she did what you do when someone you love is dying, she comforted him. She got right in there with him to witness it so he didnât have to die and remember this one alone
Hi! Iâm new to your page, but I absolutely love your work, and I gasped out loud when I saw that your requests were open!!!! Iâm obsessed with Loki recently and was wondering if you could do something where Reader is goddess of retribution, vengeance, and redemption. Reader and Loki have been friends since birth, always getting into trouble. When Loki is caught by the TVA, nothing has yet happened romantically with Reader, but he fasts folward through the file to see his future with her, romance, friendship, love, and all. The last thing on his film is her swearing to him that Thanos will pay for what heâd done to Loki with her and Thor hovering over his body as the ship blows up? If this isnât your cup of tea, obviously no pressure, and also feel free to change ANY aspect of it if you are interested! Thanks a million for reading!!! -purpleshowers
Hi! Welcome to my blog and I'm so glad you like my work. I really liked this idea so I fiddled around with a few different possibilites and this was the result. I hope this is everything you hoped for. Enjoy!!
Pairing: Loki Laufeyson x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1621
Warnings: Teeny-tiny, itty-bitty sliver of an allusion to smut.
Summary: Loki has been captured by the TVA and he watches his life play out, and discovering that you play a bigger part in it than he would've thought.
Finally alone, Loki let out a long sigh. Heâd seen and learned too much about timelines and life for one day, so he was thankful for this moment of peace; no matter how brief it may be. Glancing at the holographic image hovering by the wall, he approached the small table. The screen of the computer-like device glowed a faint blue. The words âresumeâ and ârestartâ were on the screen, encased in little boxes, and Loki pressed the one that read ârestart.â
The hologram flickered for a moment before stabilising. He watched his life begin with wide eyes; never in his life would he have thought heâd see this. It was odd, maybe even a little discerning, as he watched his birth and journey to Asgard play out.
He gasped aloud when he saw you.
Sitting at the grand banquet table was torture. Everybody was watching you. Correction, everybody was watching your sister, Brynli, the fresh-faced goddess of victory, luck, and warfare.
âSheâll do wonders for the people! Her and my son would make the perfect match!â Odin proclaimed, raising his chalice for all to see. And the people of Asgard fawned and cheered for who they hoped would become the new queen. But the younger siblings sat back, too used to being overshadowed, meeting each other's gaze from opposite ends of the table, and you rolled your eyes. After the feast, you found Loki kicking pebbles in the garden.
âSo, what do they call you?â You asked, the etiquette lessons youâd spent torturous hours sitting through falling away as you fiddled with the lacings on your dress because it was slowly suffocating you.
âGod of Mischief,â was his muttered reply, and despite your young age, you picked up on the bite in his tone.
âI meant your name, but if weâre going with titles, Goddess of Vengeance and Redemption.â You dropped into a low curtsy, a few stray curls falling into your face. And the two of you laughed to hide the fear of the power that had been dropped into the hands of children.
Loki recalled how relieved heâd felt in that moment, to meet someone like him. Overlooked, overshadowed, and afraid. To know that he wasnât the only one that lingered unseen.
The hologram flickered again.
The thudding of your footsteps accompanied the beating of your heart as you sprinted down the Bifrost. Skirts bunched above your knees, you clung to the fabric as you left the palace behind, the wind ruining the hair your mother had spent hours curling that morning.
âLast one to Heimdall has to run naked through the banquet hall!â You yelled over your shoulder, grinning as you saw Loki gaining on you.
âWhat?! Father would kill me!â
âThen I suggest you run faster then!â
Loki had lost the race, but he hadnât cared. He still recalled the chill of the air on his skin later that night when he had covered his crotch with his hands and hurried through the hall during dinner. The sound of your joyous giggles had played in his head for days after the occasion. When the hologram changed, Lokiâs very soul yearned for what he saw.
The grand Asgardian library, sunlight streaming in through the giant windows, was yours and Lokiâs sanctuary. Thor and Brynli were on the upper levels, discussing hypothetical war strategies in an attempt to please Odin. You and Loki were huddled around a table a few levels down, heads together, whispering harshly.
âOh, come on. Mischief and vengeance? Itâs the perfect combination.â
âIf you think about it, your pranks would be so much better if you let me help.â
âHow so?â Loki drawled, cocking an eyebrow.
Loki pondered it for a moment, you certainly had a point, but he shook his head.
âAs much as I love chaos, I think somebody might end up dead. Either that or weâd accidentally vaporise the palace.â
Loki laughed at that, though stopped when he heard voices outside the door. They passed and he let out a sigh, turning back to the hologram, and felt tears well in his eyes.
âItâs still you,â you whispered, wiping away the tear that rolled down Lokiâs cheek, the pale blue skin was soft under your thumb. âYou donât get to choose your parents, and besides, this doesnât change anything. Youâre still my favourite person in all the nine realms.â
Loki hung his head. Heâd never told anybody about his heritage before, Odin and Frigga knew of course, but telling you had been the hardest thing heâd ever done. But the sense of relief that came with your acceptance made his knees buckle.
âPromise me,â he whispered. âPromise me that youâll be with me until the end.â
âI promise.â
Tears warmed the pale skin of Lokiâs cheeks and he had to pause the tape. Letting his head fall into his hands, he tried to steady his breathing. This was when heâd last seen you, before everything had fallen to pieces. Whatever was head, he wasnât sure he could face it. But he wanted to see. He had to see if you would keep your promise.
Once the tape resumed, he watched so intently, trying not to miss a thing. It was odd to think that this was his future, exactly as it would be, but he hadnât lived it yet. And nothing couldâve prepared him for what he saw.
A kiss under the moonlight, hidden behind the grand rose bushes.
His hands on your waist as you waltzed in the empty throne room to music only the two of you could hear.
The curve of your bare hips as you sat astride him, your nakedness kissed by the soft glow of candlelight.
The heavenly echo of your moans as they fell from your lips, more beautiful than any choir.
Loki had not expected any of it, but he hadnât realised until now, as he watched it play out before him, that it was all heâd ever wanted. He wanted to hold you. To worship you as the Goddess you were. To pray and sin and be born again within the warmth of your embrace.
The hologram flickered and Loki was no longer gazing into his bedchamber as you handed your heart and your innocence to him with only the moon and stars as witness.
There was Midgard; you, Thor, and Loki standing before a crumbled pile of stone.
âI swear this is where I left him.â Loki said, and you had to hide your laugh with a cough. Thor was not impressed, glancing between the pile of rubble and his brother. When the God of Thunderâs back was turned, he didnât see the sneaky grins that you and Loki shared.
The hologram changed again.
Asgard was falling apart. Smoke poured from the palace windows, staining the horizon black. Screams filled the air around you.
âLoki!â You shouted, unable to see him in the chaos.
âYou donât have to yell, you know.â He appeared at your side, flipping his daggers in his hands, shooting you a smirk.
âHow are you so nonchalant about all this?â You asked, swinging your scythe into the gut of one of the shadowy soldiersâ gut. It crumbled around the blade.
âBecause this is all part of the fun.â
Loki smirked despite himself, not surprised that heâd say that. Though the hologram flickered once more and the life in Lokiâs eyes died.
âNo,â he whispered to himself, rising from the chair to approach the image before him.
Thor was encased in scraps of steel, bodies littered the floor of the ruined ship. Suspended from chains in the ceiling, you struggled against your bonds. You watched the dagger materialise in Lokiâs hand and you wanted to scream.
âLoki.â Your voice was almost pleading. He glanced over his shoulder at you, his eyes glowing with the reflection of the flames upon the ground. Tears shone in them, only for a moment, before he blinked them back.
âThank you for keeping your promise.â
Moving swifter than the wind, Loki thrust the dagger upwards, but froze. Thanosâ hand wrapped around his neck and you cried out.
âDonât!â Your voice was hoarse but you ignored the pain in your throat.
Loki could feel the life slowly draining from him as he gasped his final breaths, the hand around his neck tightening with every second that passed.
But youâd stayed with him until the end, just like you said you would.
The crack of his neck echoed through the room and Loki flinched, stumbling away from the hologram.
A scream tore from your throat as Loki's body crumbled to the ground.
"You will die for this!" You squirmed within the chains, trying desperately to get free, to reach Loki.
"I will tear apart the universe to find you and bring you nothing but which you deserve; pain and death." But Thanos had already left. And half your heart, the better part of it, was gone.
Loki watched as the ship exploded and the words âEnd Of Fileâ rolled across the screen. His knees hit the ground but he didnât register the pain.
Heâd known you all his life and had planned on continuing by your side for centuries. No amount of time with you would ever be enough, but seeing it end had torn a hole in his very consciousness.
He had to get out of here.
In that moment, he realised heâd do anything, even cooperate, if it meant getting back to you.
He didnât care about Timekeepers or The Sacred Timeline. He only cared about you, and he was going to find his way back. If his time was going to run out, then he had to change how it ended.
He had to.
