There are two friendships in the books that would be epic but had the potential to destroy the world as we know it:

-Andrew and Alisson

-Neil and Aaron

andrew and allison would’ve been too powerful if they had gotten along. they would go to the mall together and buy clothes for people who are not themselves that those people do not want and then get back to fox tower to give said people the clothes they do not want along with opinions that they also do not want. they know everyone’s business. they don’t care much about the emotional boundaries of others except yes they do. they’re mean in a way that’s fun if you fw them and very not fun if you don’t. they will be honest if you ask them if your club outfit is ugly. they will also be honest if you don’t ask them if your club outfit is ugly. they have very expensive cars in which they drive people around in silently. they are fueled by spite. they are blonde.

the thing about neil and jean is that i very much feel like their relationship is mirrored in andrew & aaron's relationship. the 'misplaced forever partner' vs. 'the brother who was given away.'

the way neil was abused but he was KEPT, he had a mother who gave her life to fight for him vs. jean who was sold and forgotten and abandoned, stripped of his own name and his language, who had to survive riko and the master and the complicated dynamics of being perfect court but also property, who had to navigate the nest and all its horrors and hierarchy completely alone.

aaron who was abused, who was beaten and strung along and neglected, but who his mother came back for vs. andrew who was left behind, who never had a last name, who said 'please' so much at seven he can't stand the sound of the word at 21, who was willing to carve pieces from himself for the promise of a scrap of family.

andrew and aaron made a deal and hated each other for it. jean and neil were each others partners - your failure is my failure, your success is my success. andrew, who killed aaron's mother when he found out she was beating him, to hold up his end of the deal. jean, who held neil down to be carved, but who patched him up again after.

aaron, who killed his brother's rapist. and neil who did the same

He has already started a fight with Kevin on the bus on the way to a game

And everyone had to deal with Kevin fuming and bitching abt this rando (Andrew) on Twitter who was saying all those bad things abt Exy. Everyone had a horrible trip, except Andrew, that was internally laughing his ass off

Kevin didnt notice that coincidentally the guy on Twitter stopped answering the moment Andrew slept and came back to answering the moment he woke up

It is cannon, I was the bus window

Andrew has multiple anonymous Twitter accounts where he hates on exy and has started many of fights with Kevin on Twitter

Shoutout to Jean dropping “stupid, beautiful Kevin” on us because he ate with that. That’s exactly what Kevin is, both stupid and beautiful. Amazing, descriptive, heartbreaking, straight to the point. I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Stupid, beautiful Kevin indeed

I suffered SA by a family member when I was 12-13 years old and one of these days I was thinking abt it and couldnt understand why I didnt react faster, why it took me so long to just get away from this person

Then I realised that 12 years old me didnt have any idea what touch in a sexual way felt like, no one had ever touched me like this. I only knew what it felt to be touched with care and love or straight up anger. When it happened I didnt even have had my first kiss yet.

This realization helped me to forgive myself a little (it obviously isnt my fault, but shame and guilt are hard feelings to push away completely), but it also added a little to my pain. It feels like something was stolen from me. I never had the chance to slowly learn what being touched with desire felt like, to leran it in my own time, in a consensual way with someone I desired too. Instead I had my trust explored by a f-ing grown man whom I loved and cared about. And this will forever be my first experience with sexual ""affection""

renee finds out about the fire and texts jean that she’s giving the foxes his new address so they can send him postcards, pictures, new things to fill their new home

kevin sends a couple of postcards, like he always used to

neil takes the absolute WORST photos of the team and sends them jean’s way. he can’t help but laugh at them, blurry, out of focus, ridiculous moments

renee keeps texting him, of course, but she’ll also send him the occasional artistic photo of the open sky, a flower in bloom

wymack sends him a terse letter telling him to contact him if jean needs anything

and then jean gets this ugly, dollar-store card that has a simple ‘fuck you, moreau’ scrawled in messy handwriting on the back, and he thinks it’s just another attack from one of the ravens or their fans until he sees the signature at the bottom: ex-brisket lungs

he frames it.

Kevin at this moment: WHAT ARE YOU BOTH THINKING??? WHAT ABOUT YOUR CAREERS???

*proceeds in a half an hour long rant about how not only their Exy skills, but also their public image is important to make Court(and according to him both of their public images are already damaged enough)

*Neil tells him that if they are already damaged, then there is no problem in making it a little worse

*Andrew tells him to stfu

*Kevin shuts up, looking with discontet at the both of them
