this is a lifesaver, my technique is legit just “fuck around and find out” 😌👍
I forgot I have to be active here so here’s my Twitter tutorial on how to draw folds I made a while back to help a friend!
4th of July plans?
nope, absolutely none, despite being an american i forget that holiday exists and i don’t really celebrate it tbh. /neu
my mom’s birthday, on the other hand, on july 5… now that’s something to party about /lh though she’s been in the hospital for a few days so her bday will probably be a chill day
Trick or treat, but we pull up a UNO reverse card (whatever that does, we've only once played UNO and forgot everything about it), and we give you this plastic pony we took a photo of once at night.
He says you seem nice so he won't eat your soul :33
i humbly accept this marvelous gift 😁
gave my pinned post an overhaul so it has the ✨fancy✨ without being too over the top. plus added more organizational tags for funsies 😁
if i had a nickel for every time i got into a band that had connections to this one guy™️ (serj tankian) without knowing it i’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice (viza, dog fashion disco)
don’t know much about the people behind the bands but the music itself is insanely good istg— i feel like atp i should listen to system of a down’s stuff (where serj is the lead singer)
new oc reference just dropped for rubithin! uncensored moobs beneath the cut (scar ref)
they’re one of my oldest ocs that i still pay attention to, and are certainly one of the more storied ones :)
What's a citizen science project? Basically, it's crowdsourced science. In this case, crowdsourced climate science, that you can help with!
You don't need qualifications or any training besides the slideshow at the start of a project. There are a lot of things that humans can do way better than machines can, even with only minimal training, that are vital to science - especially digitizing records and building searchable databases
Like labeling trees in aerial photos so that scientists have better datasets to use for restoration.
Or counting cells in fossilized plants to track the impacts of climate change.
Or digitizing old atmospheric data to help scientists track the warming effects of El Niño.
Or counting penguins to help scientists better protect them.
Those are all on one of the most prominent citizen science platforms, called Zooniverse, but there are a ton of others, too.

I spent a lot of time doing this when I was really badly injured and housebound, and it was so good for me to be able to HELP and DO SOMETHING, even when I was in too much pain to leave my bed. So if you are chronically ill/disabled/for whatever reason can't participate or volunteer for things in person, I highly highly recommend.
