its so scary to put yourself out there but a SINGLE message saying "hi i loved what you made it touched me in some way" makes it all worth it 10000%
So I started Star Trek Prodigy this weekend
(@itsmyfandomandilikeit you were right and it's great! I'm having a blast)
I'm behind on fanart posting, so here, have a lazy 3 AM Contessa from a while back.
Hello everyone! I thought it was about time I made a pinned post that goes over everything people need to know about my blog, so here we go:
- First up, I’m Bee! Pronouns she/her.
- My ask box is always open unless I’ve specified otherwise! Keep all asks PG-13 though. - No minor followers please! This blog is for mature audiences and may contain some profanity, darker themes, etc.
-Do not use, trace, heavily reference, or repost my art or OCs anywhere. Reblogs are fine and greatly appreciated!
- Fanart/fanworks for my content (OCs, AUs, etc.) are also greatly appreciated, just tag and credit me so I can see it! That said, please don't alter any AUs without permission!
- DMing me is off-limits! Just use the askbox if you want to start a conversation- if needs be you can request to DM there.
- I tag content as best I can, if I missed something let me know and I'll try to fix it.
just for curiosity's sake, to any fic writers in the audience --
if you've done more than one, vote the lowest down option!
*not as in "i invented a trope", but as in "i was the first one in the transformers ao3 collection to write a tagged 'only one bed' fic"
(ao3 specifically used only because its so easy to search for this information, but if you were the first one to write a fic for anything on other sites, i'd also love to hear about that!)
The core four should have been able to get revenge against Dr. Nero somehow.
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
Think of all the gray hairs they gave that man— is that not revenge enough?
(Although I’m not opposed to one of them pulling a stunt later with him as a taste of his own medicine… maybe Shel should steal his credit card, or slip him a ridiculous fake ID as payback.)
Zero/Laura for the song ask!
You're spoiling me with one of my faves and my fave dynamics, Alex, thank you!
I would normally 100% say this song here, but I've already mentioned it before as my all-time Zero and Laura song:
So here's another!
(A mix of tech and pop with an ominous background voice later on- it's just sinister and mean-spirited without being too low-energy.)
Thanks for the ask!
the peak of "wouldn't it be awesome to be a child soldier? JUST KIDDING! it would be incredibly fucked up. anyway here's the main character getting eaten by wolves" is the alex rider series, which takes the wish fulfilment premise of being a teenage spy and then makes it explicitly clear from day one that alex is being blackmailed into acting as a spy for adults who have neither love nor even basic care for him and will let his life fall apart the moment he says no. coincidentally it's due to this career that alex is both an orphan and without a guardian in the first place; spying led directly to both his parents' and uncle's deaths. alex is repeatedly traumatised and nearly killed in increasingly horrifying manners, and it becomes clear that the only way for him to protect himself is to keep throwing himself in danger; he hates this and is completely aware that the only person he trusts could be ripped away from him at any moment and that his social life and academic standing is being ripped to shreds the longer he continues living his double life. the kicker is that he was raised in, perhaps intentionally moulded for, this lifestyle and the longer he continues it the harder he finds it to leave; he's essentially addicted to life-and-death situations and almost doesn't want to keep coming back to it. he turns to the other side only to turn that his bosses' enemies are just as bad as they are; at the age of just thirteen he finds himself completely alone in the world. and it slaps both as a thriller series and a deconstruction of the horrific violence both literal and structural that undergirds alex's life and job and the ethics of using a literal child to do your bidding as the lines between work and home life blur beyond recognition
