Finally, I can present to you: half Kirin, half Unicorn Shoto!

It's pretty obvious that his father is the Kirin and his mom is a unicorn. Her family always had an inclination towards ice and the cold.

There are many design choices you can make with a base like this but this is what I turned out with. I'm not entirely happy with it, so it may be prone to have some changes.

It's hard to show it off in a quick traditional drawing like this, but the scales on his back actually only show up with the shifting of the light. The left side golden and the right silver.

Oh shit right it’s April Fools- ahh umm I hate Chongqiu hahaha or something

Oh there’s more coming apparently………. oh it’s getting worse…..

I’ve been tweaking out for like 3 hours.. IS THIS A DREAM??? HOW IS THIS A REAL THING THAT JUST HAPPENED……. AND ON VALENTINES TOO!!?!!??

That was shockingly more enjoyable and funnier than we were all expecting….

Like, it isn’t peak cinema obviously - but we had a great time, and were giggling and laughing at like every joke/comedic moments. We had a lot of fun-

My bestie is dragging me and oomf to watch ‘A Minecraft Movie’ tomorrow (saying this now because I won’t be able to get onto my iPad until I get home)

And I just think the way we’ve been describing the day for months with the idea of them taking me to watch the movie is just really funny: (I am Scott)

First off; just Chongyun’s face and how he looks at Xingqiu the entire time she’s explaining the circumstances with her great-grandfather…….

And him being cautious about whether or not to relay what’s going on..

He’s so concerned and worried for how she’s feeling….. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

I love these type of moments a lot because it reminds you that they REALLY do care about each other a lot, they just love each other so much 🥲🥲 (I say this because sometimes it feels like some people forget that.. /lh)

It just makes me really happy to see, their love means a lot to me <33

And Chongyun saying he’s going with Xingqiu to check up on the room again, I just know it’s actually because he wants to be by Xingqiu’s side and to be there for her, he’s very clearly worryed about her and how she’s doing..

Even if she isn’t close with her great-grandfather, he wants to be there for her…

And I’m just thinking about the idea of them after they say goodbye to the Traveller & Paimon, and as they’re walking to her house; Chongyun sees Xingqiu looking down and appearing all gloomy, he asks again if she really is okay, and she says “Yes.” again, but Chongyun still doesn’t think so…

And he asks if she wants to hold his hand, and she gives a soft but pained smile and excepts it, and when she takes his hand she never lets go after that..

Also I want to talk about how I interpret Xingqiu’s relationship with her great-grandfather with my hcs for her family:

Xingqiu emphasising she’s “never been close with her great-grandfather” and how “he wasn’t speaking much by the time she was born”, implying the non-closeness derives from her just not interacting with him at all pretty much. And I find that very interesting when it comes to interpreting it and compared to her other relationships in the family…

I like to think this non-closeness for her great-grandfather doesn’t come from the same place as like her mother, brother or father (negative), and it is more neutral because compared to the other three; he never gave her a hard time growing up or in present day, because she never really got to interact with him in a proper way.

And because of that neutralness towards him rather than negative feelings, she is feeling a sense of fear for him - even if she isn’t close to him at all, and is trying to assure everyone that she’s okay, even though it’s clear that it is affecting her in someway. Because since it’s not deep rooted in negativity, it’s actually getting to her.

Also I kind of like to think that in the little times she did interact with him, he just lets her do what she wants because he’s old asf and could care less on what she does (even if her family says otherwise) - so she has respect for him on that front.

And this is pretty much everything I have to say rn, of course this is all only going by day 1, but I’m interested to see how this is going to progress :3

Chongyun & Xingqiu to me are that couple who physically have heart surrounding their heads, they’re so annoying and in love I hateeee them-
