Reblogging This To Highlight The Parts Of The Burning Suns AU That Might Interest You Cause The Bramblenesia

Reblogging this to highlight the parts of the Burning Suns AU that might interest you cause the Bramblenesia one was described to the point for now.

• Sandstorm gets a wife. She's bisexual but has a she-cat preference. Firestar surrogates for her and her wife and becomes little Squirrelkit's and Leafkit's uncle. Even though they know he's their biological father, Leaf and Squirrel will always see him as an uncle.

• Lionheart lives longer. I wanted to see more of this guy while he was alive and see him interact with his children. He dies instead in Forest of Secrets, meaning Tigerclaw never takes charge as deputy, allowing to some changes and courses of plans.

• Ravenpaw is a medicine apprentice. He still witnesses Redtail's death and is extra broken, as with Spottedleaf as his mentor, Ravenpaw was able to get close to Redtail. Ravenpaw still escapes to the barn, but returns with Windclan as he misses his clan and duty too much to bare. He ends up getting a husband and a cool ass medicine cat name. He also might be a little Jekyll and Hyde-ish but that's for later. Also PURPLE EYES RAVENPAW FOR THE WIN

• Russetfur is Brick and Bone joins Thunderclan. He's mentored by Willowpelt and eventually mentors Ashfur. He also has a sister in Thunderclan and a very Thunderclan-connected past.

• Snowfur lives as Snowflower. She's a sassy elder who likes to tease her sister Bluestar, but she has a few secrets that are very Riverclan related. Could that add to why Whitestorm now has striped brown patches on his fur?

• Yellowblue for the win. THEY'RE GAY AND YOU'LL NEVER CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE. OakBlue was a past thing and Bluestar definitely still grieves his death, but more as a treasured friend and powerful ally than Riverclan lover.

• Brokenstar is now a medicine cat named Brokenhope. Brokenhope is also a girl like her sisters. Raggedstar is instead the evil Shadowclan leader that kills babies and probably cannibalizes them. Brokenhope is mortified as she knows Raggedstar has her adoptive brother, Runningnose, in his line of sight to erase.

• Shadowstar, or as she prefers, Tall Shadow, is the Spottedleaf equivalent to our second protagonist's Firestar equivalence. Redtail gets included from book two and beyond as our second protagonist gets closer with Sandstorm.

• Millie and Silverstream, now Silversnow, are sisters. Millie was taken in the summer by a twoleg couple and moved far away from the clans. When Graystripe meets Millie, he's shocked by how similair she looks to Silverstream, and they figure out that they are sisters. Silversnow gives Gray and Mills her consent to have another litter, as now that Graystripe was truly settled in Riverclan, he wanted a true chance to raise kits. Of course, I hate him, so his kits move to Thunderclan and Millie joins after Briarpaw's accident happens. Millie dies in Thunderclan like usual, Bumblestripe stays in Thunderclan to be with his husband Toadstep, and Blossomfall...well, Ivypool is with Briarlight, Dovewing is with Flametail, and I definitely don't want her to get with Thornclaw, so I don't know what to do with her yet, but I definitely think she'll find someone. Maybe Rosepetal could work since she wouldn't be crushing on on an already married man in this au.

Burning Suns Pride Month Character Identities/Sexualities

Hey everybody, it's me again! Since we're currently in the midst of pride month, I'd thought I'd show off some character identities/sexualities that are canon for at least book 1 of my rewrite.

Just to state, this blog and AU are friendly with and welcoming of members of the LGBTQ+ community. As an asexual lesbian myself, I find no reason to discriminate or disclude members of my community from interacting and viewing this AU. Happy Pride Month, and welcome to the rewritten world of Warriors!

Bluestars:Bisexual, goes by she/her. Once had a fling with Oakheart, but lost romantic intention with him after bringing her kits to Riverclan. Later dated Yellowfang during her stay in Thunderclan.

Yellowfang:Pansexual, goes by she/they. Like Bluestars, once had a partnership with Raggedstars, but ended things after he cheated on her with Foxheart. Later dated Bluestars during her stay in Thunderclan.

Lionheart:Bisexual, goes by he/him. Once dated an unknown male rogue, but ended it after gaining feelings for Frostfur. Helped Firepaw figure out he's Bi.

Whitestorm:Pansexual, goes by he/him. Accidentally had a fling with Brindleface, but broke it off after realizing his mistake. Took responsibility anyways and helped raise Ashfur and Ferncloud.

Redtail:Trans FtM, goes by he/him. Born as a she-cat, but felt uncomfortable with her gender. Transitioned to a tom as an apprentice after speaking with a Trans kittypet. Hooked up with Runningwind around the end of his apprenticeship and had Sandstorm many moons into being a warrior.

Darkstripe:Gay, goes by he/him. Didn't know his sexuality until he became a warrior and developed a crush on Whitestorm. Decided to not pursue Whotestorm to instead pursue his plans with Tigerstar and Longtail.

Longtail:Aroace, goes by he/him. Never liked romance or mates since he could remember, but never figured it out until his friend Mousefur confided in him her shared feelings on the subject. Still close with Mousefur, but as a best friend.

Runningwind:Bisexual, goes by he/they. Always liked Redtail even before he transitioned. Was Redtail's biggest supporter when he first transitioned and ended up being mates with him and having Sandstorm.

Thrushpelt:Pansexual, goes by he/him. Once liked Bluemoon, but fathered her kits even though she didn't reciprocate his feelings. Found Mosskit in the snow and took her back to camp, where she was brought back to life by Featherwhisker. Ended up mentoring her and later one of the protags.

Graypaw:Bisexual, goes by he/him. Has kits with Silverstream still, but does crush on Firepaw. Helps Firestar hide his secret relationship with a rogue later on in the arc.

Sandpaw:Bisexual, goes by she/her. Does not get with Firestars in this AU, but instead with another cat. Still has Squirrelflight and Leafpool, but Firestars is instead a surrogate father/uncle for the kits. Doesn't have Spottedleaf drama in this AU and doesn't have to worry about a disloyal mate.

Sunpaw:Asexual lesbian, goes by she/they. Yes, she's kinda based off of me, but I've had her forever and I had to do something with her. Doesn't really ever come to the realization she's lesbian, she just kinda always is and falls in love.

Bonepaw:Bisexual, goes by he/they. I bet you all can guess who this guy is, but I'm just gonna say it outright:this AU does NOT ship BoneScourge. This AU instead ships him with another fruity guy.

Ravenpaw:Gay, he/him. He's still gay, but he gets to stay in Thunderclan this time.

I'm celebrating Christmas with my family but make an excuse to leave and watch as the bomb I put in my niece's new toy robot dog explode when they turn it on.

Guys, I don't know why, but I just really wanna make a fic of that cheesy movie trope where a group of fictional characters end up in the human world and team up with normal everyday humans to 'help save both their worlds from a great evil' and while they're uncertain and slightly untrusting of eachother at first, they end up becoming really good friends and get into lesson-learning shenanigans that make them grow closer as friends and a team.

First, I gotta find movies like that to study the trope and how it works for it to be so insanely popular that it became the Sonic Movies trope. Next, I gotta find a fandom to do it in and make a cheesy movie plot for the fic.

This will most likely be a surprisingly fun idea, as the movies like these hooked me in more than usual.

Alright folks, gonna give it you here...

Longtail is gonna play a big, big part in the Burning Suns AU. He's gonna be super important to the development of the second protagonist. He's gonna be a good guy and very silly but a lovable morally grey guy.

Longtail lovers, I'm giving you a fucking all you can eat buffet. This man is gonna be in almost every chapter. He's gonna be so plot relevant. He's gonna show up in every single fucking book in the arc. We're gonna see his and Mousefur's friendship early. He's gonna be good friends with Spottedleaf and destroy Clawface for murdering her. He's gonna be a father without a mate cause he's gonna officially unofficially adopt a traumatized little apprentice and Runningwind and Mousefur are gonna help him with the chaotic little gremlin. He's gonna still go blind but he's gonna keep being a warrior.

I have so much more in store for this man that I haven't even mentioned here yet but I plan on feeding my fellow Longtail lovers. Y'all are my brothers and sisters in Longtail.

Am I about to unleash my insane old idea of a Warrior Cats TV show on the world? Yes.

So the real world context is that Warrior Cats was a fantasy book series made in the mid 1950's to early 1960's by Erin Hunter in this timeline. Years later in 1970, the idea for a TV show based off the books is made after the refound popularity from the release of The Sight. (I know this isn't co-adjacent to the real world, but younger me was insane.)

On March 18th, 1973, at about 8:00 a.m., the series would premiere its first episode titled 'Into the Wild', which from this period I chose it would air on NBC. It would feature the prolouge and first 3 chapters, except something would be different. After the prolouge ends, we cut to a starry land with soft music until it explodes into jazzy music as a cat with bright orange fur, leaf green eyes, a fancy red bow tie, and a microphone would poof into the scene from nowhere, introducing himself as the show's host, but the viewers could just call him the 'Host With The Most'.

He would explain that he was from the future, sent to the cat's afterlife Starclan after defeating his greatest enemy to protect the clans. He would also say that he's come to tell the story of the clans and how just a few cats could shape their future in unbelievable ways. He would then spin the invisible camera, which then slowly fades into a scene at night of a young red-orange kittypet with a blue collar sitting on the edge of a fence.

Host (which is what I'm going to call him) introduces us to Rusty, explaining that he'll be our point of view for the arc. Rusty, who was seemingly in a trance from looking at the forest, snaps out of it, asking who just talked. Host chuckles as a disembodied voice, saying that it was 'for him to know and you to figure out.'

Before Rusty can ask any more questions, Rusty's friend Smudge joins him atop the fence. He asks Rusty who he's talking to, and Rusty says it's nobody. Smudge then asks why he's staring at the forest, and Rusty says he's going to go in to hunt some mouse. Smudge fake wretches at the gesture, and then says to Rusty that kibble would taste much better than fur. Rusty says that mouse would be better as long as he removes the fur first.

Smudge then asks if Rusty is for real, and Rusty simply replies by jumping off the fence, which gets a light chuckle from Host. Rusty looks at the top of the screen before shaking his head, quietly saying to himself that 'it's not his problem yet.' Smudge then says to Rusty that he wouldn't go in there if he was him, noting how their neighbour Jake says the forest cats are 'dangerous and wicked.' Rusty retorts back that his father's tales are from so long ago that he must be remembering wrong, and he'll only be in there for a few minutes. Smudge wishes him luck as he jumps from the fence and Rusty enters the forest.

Host then narrates Rusty's trek through the forest, with Rusty soon telling Host to stop talking as he's spotted a mouse. As he's about to pounce, he hears a rustling noise and looks behind him. As he looks behind him, a curly furred bright orange tails wraps itself around the mouse and snatches it up off screen. When Rusty looks back, he's appalled, but goes a different way as he smells another mouse.

As he's tracking down a mouse, he starts to smell a strange scent. He slowly creeps towards it, and just as he's about to push through the bushes, a grey ball of fur launches itself on him and tackles him to the ground, scaring away the creature behind the bush.

Rusty growls in annoyance and launches the grey figure off of him, with Host exclaiming in excitement 'I remember this!'. The grey figure stands up slightly dazed as Rusty rears in defense, hissing, until he realizes it's a cat about his age. He's a bright grey with a dark grey stripe running from head to tail. 'Hey there kittypet!' He says, confusing Rusty, with a small Host watching from the corner with a knowing look.

The dark grey cat compliments Rusty's skills, but explains that the forest is dangerous for a kittypet to be there. Rusty asks what a kittypet is, but before the grey cat can explain, the scene freezes and Host appears in the middle of the screen, explaining that a kittypet is what cats call the normal house cat.

As the scene returns to normal, time has sped up, and Rusty, now addressing the grey cat as Graypaw, asks what the clans are that he seemingly mentioned earlier. Host gives a little oops, realizing he skipped over the first clan mentioning dialogue, but continues the scene anyways. Graypaw looks appalled, confused how Rusty doesn't know about the four clans, but ends up explaining anyways.

Graypaw tells him about the four clans, which are fierce and honorable Thunderclan where he comes from, sleek and powerful Riverclan who are enemies of Thunderclan, wise and swift Windclan who run the moors, and proud, cruel Shadowclan who live in the darkest part of the forest. Host comes in from the side of the screen again, about to chime in when the bushes rustle and a blue she-cat and a golden tom appear from behind the bushes.

Graypaw and Rusty bristle at the sight, with Graypaw trying to push Rusty behind him in the bushes while Host squeals excitedly at the two cats appearing. The blue she-cat glances at Host in the corner questioningly before he disappears, shocking and nearly throwing her off balance until the golden tom whispers to her while glancing at Graypaw and Rusty. The blue she-cat asks Graypaw what's going on in a stern voice, causing Graypaw to scramble away from Rusty, making the kittypet more visible to the other two cats.

Rusty shrinks down as the blue she-cat approaches him with a questioning look. She then looks over at Graypaw, asking him who Rusty is, and Graypaw scrambles in front of Rusty, telling her that he's just a kittypet going home. Graypaw tries to push him away, but Rusty pushes him back, strutting up to Bluestar with an innocent look and introduces himself as Rusty and that he was just here to hunt some mouse.

Bluestar's questioning look turns to shock, and then to anger as a sharp hiss resonates from between her teeth. Rusty slightly bristles as Bluestar exclaims that there is never enough, and how dare he hunts for fun while the wild cats hunt to survive.

The clearing grows quiet as Rusty looks down in shame, and after a moment, apologizes to Bluestar and says that he won't hunt there again. After a shared look with Lionheart, Bluestar asks what Rusty's name is, and Host replies with 'That's Rusty, Blues!'. Host laughs as Bluestar rolls her eyes at him, and Rusty asks if she can see him too. Bluestar explains that they all can, and he's been bothering them for a few days, but they believe he's been sent from Starclan just to check on them and that he'll soon be gone.

Getting back to the point, Bluestar asks him if he knows of the clans, and Rusty responds that he does because of Graypaw. Bluestar nods at Graypaw with approval, and then turns to Rusty and asks if he wishes to join Thunderclan. Lionheart and Graypaw gasp, while Host appears behind Rusty, saying 'Do it Rusty!' as Rusty looks up at him. He looks back at Bluestar, who looks at him as if waiting for an answer.

Before Rusty can respond, Graypaw intervenes, saying that kittupet couldn't possibly be a warrior because they don't have warrior blood. Bluestar looks down at the ground dejectedly, saying that too much warrior blood has been shed recently. After a moment, she snaps back to attention, stating that she doesn't make her offer lightly, and Rusty cannot have a paw in each life. She states that the forest is dangerous and cruel, and that Thunderclan demands hard work and loyalty, but that in return, he will always be protected by the strength of his clan, and that he will learn to be a warrior.

Rusty looks up at Host again, who gently whispers to Rusty to think about it. He tells Bluestar this, and Bluestar says he will have time to think, but he must come back to the clearing tomorrow at sunhigh and meet with Lionheart if he wishes to become a Thunderclan warrior. Graypaw waves goodbye to Rusty and Host as he disappears with Bluestar and Lionheart into the bushes.

As Rusty returns home, he talks to Host about how appealing the life of a warrior seems, and that he can't wait for sunhigh. Host chuckles, saying that he sees great things in Rusty's future if he joins Thunderclan. Host then says goodbye to Rusty and that he'll see him again tomorrow, and as Host backs into the bushes and fades away, the camera zooms up to the sky, where a star flashes brightly as a sign of hope as the screen fades to black.

So that's it! I'll post an episode list later for season 1 and then the outline of episode 2, and go from there! This is all from many years ago and is somewhat messy, but I'm trying my best to keep it structured for Tumblr!
