How I view Secco

+ My interpretation of Seccolata

Lotta people view Secco in many ways, Here's my take on him, because I do truly love Secco as a character.

For me, it's a balance, he is not entirely alien to the world and knows how to function as a typical civilian but still relies heavily on the support of other people, similar to Hol Horse Secco prefers to always be just below someone, finding it safer than being solo or a leader.

Secco himself is a failure of a person, he couldn't function in a normal society if he tried. He struggles with the boundaries of others and lacks proper communication skills, not to mention his lower intelligence and high temper make it hard to function.

Secco's motives are simple: Protection and Luxury, anything else he gets is an added bonus.

He stays with Cioccolata because of his own selfish desires, he views the world the same way Cioccolata does and it gives him even more of a reason to stay with Cioccolata: They are the same morally. Cioccolata's intelligence and wealth give Secco something to fall back on, something and someone to rely on.

Secco is also banking on the fact that Cioccolata is willing and happy to spoil him, it gives Secco a sense of purpose in a world not meant for him. Feeling loved by someone gives him

Since he isn't that smartest he relies on the intelligence of others, but that doesn't stop him from being a person.

Secco shows the ability to understand and learn. Despite the fact that he struggles with language and speaking, he shines in other areas: Like his combat, he is a beast when it comes to fighting, it's what he's good at. Secco isn't braindead, he is capable of calculating and observing his surroundings in order to make the right call, he's fast when he fights which requires skill, he adapts in order to not make the same mistake twice.

Some of Secco's intelligence shines when he:

Mimicks a Stand-Rush by hitting his elbows against the ground, using the elasticity to make his movements faster.

This isn't as cool but Secco shows a bit more understanding here, he is fully capable of calculating a distance between two things and making an accurate estimate based on his hearing alone.

Again, here he shows quick thinking, adaptability, and understanding of distance. In order to hit the stray sugar cube with the other one, Secco needed to know how hard to spit, the distance of the stray sugar cube, and the angle it was headed In order for his hit to land without him losing both cubes.

(I couldn't get a better gif) but this is basically him using his resources to his advantage, he knows how his stand works and how to use it. He adapted to the situation by changing his strategy in order to catch Bruno off guard.

Stupidity

Despite his combat skills, Secco isn't the best when it comes to communicative skills or situational skills, unlike Cioccolata he acts on his tempers and can easily stray off course when it comes to thinking of things with a level head, he's quick to lash out at others.

Secco's superiority complex makes him believe he is better than everyone else, that no matter what he deserves more, that he will always get what he wants: He's spoiled.

Secco doesn't do well in stressful situations, when put in a stressful situation he tends to freak out and think irrationally, especially when injured. He's so used to having the upper hand on regular people that he can't fathom the fact that someone else can injure him, that someone else is better than him.

He is easily tricked, tricking him in a battle isn't hard.

Secco and Cioccolata's relationship

Before I start with this part, I will say, I am a Seccolata shipper.

Secco is willingly acting as Cioccolata's pet, in no way is he being forced into the role, it's a role he enjoys playing.

My interpretation of Seccolata is that it is entirely consensual on both ends. Not mainly love driven, relying heavily on reliance, self preservation, personal pleasure, and selfish means with a tiny bit of mutual love and affection sprinkled on top.

It's an unofficially unstated relationship, not communicated between them what they are, both keeping unlabeled sexualities. Started as just a beneficial relationship before shifting into something deeper sometime along the way.

It is very dysfunctional and not good 🫶 anyways, onto the headcanons.

Despite his selfish nature and reasons for being with Cioccolata, Secco respects and loves Cioccolata in his own twisted, selfish way.

I believe Secco to be around 29-30 years old, born with a developmental disorder that affects his actions, as well as being mentally ill, past drug usage and past addictions further damaging his development and mental states, the two met after Secco had an overdose and Cioccolata spared him.

Cioccolata isn't abusive to Secco and mostly let's Secco do what he wants: After all, Secco is his pet and he knows the other will always come crawling back to him.

Secco is deeply troubled, struggling to regulate his emotions and seeking comfort and consolation from Cioccolata, who he believes to be incredibly smart and able to fix his problems. Secco tends to lash out and overreact to minor things and requires reassurance and guidance, something Cioccolata can give him.

Sometimes Secco will unintentionally or accidentally harm Cioccolata or speak negatively to him, Cioccolata is mostly unaffected by this part of Secco, though he finds it annoying occasionally when Secco pulls his hair or hits him, even unintentionally. Secco always struggled with keeping his emotions in check and his hands to himself which left him unable to create long lasting and meaningful relationships which is why he clings onto what he has with Cioccolata.

Secco's original motives for following and staying with Cioccolata were selfish, for money, protection, and praise, but somewhere along the lines he grew fond of Cioccolata and the idea of being in power alongside him, growing an attachment to him and his “lovey” and enthusiastic antics, I believe Secco enjoys acting the way he does, being underneath a higher power gives him an outlet where he isn't forced to do the thinking, just the doing. He gets a sense of self worth when he does good, the fact that someone else is so infatuated with him excites him and inclines him to do better, seeking more attention, causing jealousy when Cioccolata’s attention is on something or someone else.

Secco views other people as inhuman, unworthy of a happy life, nothing more than a pest in his way. Which is why he doesn't mind aiding Cioccolata with his sick fantasies, whether it be recording them or taking part in it (Both as the recorder or the test subject)

Secco is almost equal with Cioccolata, freely able to do what he wants and pitch in when time comes, but Cioccolata will always be the dominant power and what he says goes.

I have a love-hate relationship with Sonic 3 because in one hand it is a good movie but un the other it have me a Sonic hyperfixiation.

What's the bad part you ask? Because it lead to me finally doing a deep dive into who Chris Chan is. I HAVE AROUND 10 HOURS WORTH OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS DOCUMENTING THE MAN. THAT'S NOT HEALTHY.

And worse part is that by doing so I gave myself art block cause all I really wanna do is enter the fucking Kiwi Farms and see everything.

Someone save me please, do some GOW incorrect quotes or vine compilation. Something so I can return to the correct path of life and finish all the fucking WIPs I have. I don't wanna be a Christorian!!!!

I've started to concept the idea for a The Amazing Digital Circus x Ride the Cyclone AU

Right now the name is

The Amazing Digital Cyclone

But it might change in the future, work in progress and everything.

Right now everything is in a concept stage and is subject to change in the future, expect the Masterpost and other official content at the end of November.

CONTEXT & INFO [WIP]

The AU will just mix the premise of TADC with the one of RTC instead of being a "Ride the Cyclone but what if TADC characters" type of story. Instead, the story will have the TADC human cast finding themselves, after brutally dying in a rollercoaster incident, in a circus-like-wonderland in-between life and death created by The Marvelous Caine. Here, the members of the Circus shall compete for a chance of being revived, but who's worth it the most?

None of the members remember their past lives, only the feeling they had during and about their death. They do not share the backstories with the original RTC cast, they will share some similarities with some of them at most.

All characters are adults around the same age they are in the original show. They all work/are connected to Uranium's local church and are part of the chuaior, most of the joining as it could have been their ticket out of that boring town.

DESIGNS [WIP]

All the designs shown here are, well, still being designed. Ponmi's specially is still in development, you can take the bottom right head shot as the direction I've decided to take. It's really hard designing a Ponmi, mad kudos to those who already did!

I don't plan on changing Caine's design outside from expanding it and adding more detail. He was very easy to design and all the elements floated into place as I drew, unlike Ponmi who has been hell on earth. I change his title from "The Amazing" to "The Marvelous" because, and bare with me, the world marvelous feels more purple to me and that is this version of Caine's main color. I don't know how I feel about taking away his characteristic red but I do like the diversity it brings to the "Caine roster".

Bubble takes after the rat that's nibbling Karnek wires (ultimately killing both of them in the end), I do not know if the same will happen in this universe though. I might make some slight tweets to his design cause I just can't seem to get the teeth right.

I haven't made any other concept art for the other members designs but I will get there eventually!

OTHER

I don't know what is the format this au is being taught in (comic, show, video game, visual novel and so on...) so any type of world building in that way is a bit iffy.

Consequently, I have no idea if any NPCs like GummyGoo or the Angle will appear but I do like the idea of having them in the au... so who knows?

I'd like to add Able in some way shape or form but try as I might I CAN'T SQUEEZE HIM IN! IT JUST LOOKS LIKE THAT ONE GUY WHO SELF-INSERTED HIMSELF INTO AMPHIBIA I SWEAR!

This is done by a TADC fan who enjoys the concept of Ride the Cyclone and its songs, my priority in what I stay truthfull to is TADC. I just took what I liked from RTC and now I'll create a story with it.

I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEARS OF GAME THEORY HAVE PREPEARED ME FOR THIS! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THE STORY DEVELOPS!!!!!

Also don't let any unfunny Sirenhead jokes make you think the design needs to be changed because A) it fits the desing and B) That’s not how Siren Head's siren heads actually look like so the comparison is not 100% HA JOKES ON THEM!

I honestly think the design is great since it hides Able but still feel like Able! He still has the human body with something wacky as a head idea but it replaces the cards for something that I bet shows a lot of his personality in this universe.

What helped me make the connection, and what I must applaud you for, is the teeth. Some I really like about TADC character design is how the rest of the cast (and side character) lacks realistic teeth which makes Caine stand out more, so the siren in his head having them was the first thing that makes you draw that connection.

(Also the use of the word "biological" brother is rising some major questions cause what do you mean that in a world full of soul powered robots something can be biologically related....?)

Firstly I just wanted to tell you that I love your AU! Your Harlequin au was what intorduced me to lovely TADC au Tumblr community and I absolutley love it! I haven't seen alternate universes as creative as these since the Sansverse era!

Secondly, I hace a question about the Patriarch: He seems to have a very good idea of who Caine is, wouldn't he be this world's equivalent to Able? I ask because althugh his design is WAY different from most fan Able depictions, he still has that "The Puppetmaster's brother" vibe that all Ables tend to have, a peace of Caine's past that he can never get rid of!

If he is not Able then I am curious of who he is, if he is then the lore just got spicier and if you don't want to spoil anything I'll understand.

But honestly: Keep it up! Your au has filled 70% of all my daydreams, the only thing I have been able to think about for a while has only been game mechanics, combat and chase sequences!

Though I am very proud of that because that means my design philosophy worked somehow, and for that, I'll throw you guys a bone. And also because I can't keep it a secret any longer I've been holding it in since the very beginning of this au

YES.

The Patriarch of Puppets is none other than Abel, Caine's biological brother.

When I was first designing him, I wanted every aspect of Abel's design to scream "opposite of Caine", and to hold some form of symbolism. From his megaphone head, down to the color palettes, there is meaning. Don't get me wrong, Mushy's Able is a very memorable and awesome design and I could've incorporated him the same way I did Souls-like, but I wanted something deeper for Harlequin.

While Caine is adorned in golds and maroons to symbolize his warmer nature, Abel has teals and silver, a very cold and intimidating stature. Their outfits and the colors are an opposition towards each other yet reflect one another somehow, the way Abel dresses tightly and formal when Caine is loose and open, his intense red pupil conveys his hostility, whilst Caine's eyes are softer blues and greens.

His king-size height dwarfing Caine tells just how much the Puppetmaster felt living on his shadow, HELL, someone noticed the weird "A" on the sides of his head and I had to shrug it off because I didn't want to reveal it as early as that time.

Even the megaphone head design holds SO MUCH UNTOLD STORY BETWEEN THE BROTHERS THAT I WILL CHOOSE TO KEEP A SECRET FOR NOW. I've put SO MUCH THOUGHT behind his design.

*sigh*... Which is also why I very much dislike the "siren head" jokes, because it's the one thing I didn't really foresaw when I was developing his design until I finished, and someone pointed out it might cause jokes like that to prop up. Something I thought I wouldn't mind initially, until everyone made the same joke over and over again and I just audibly groan irl.

But you know. internet's gonna internet, they see one thing that resembles a popular media, it's an immediate connection. I didn't even give a shit enough about Siren head to know how the design actually looked like, just a silhouette of the guy.

Therefore, I would really appreciate it if saying this out loud would help lessen the jokes, but ik not everyone is going to see this post so.

I do still wanna thank you for your kind words, because these kinds of asks are the fuel to my fire of inspiration and motivation for this AU, and I wish that I can keep this fire going till the very end of this AU's story :')
