txt ☆ˎˊ˗ glass animals hmm. i like it a lot in that i like it more than most songs but it's not a favorite from them i think they made a great instrumental and i like a few of the lyrics. “so long cowboy you're so cool” sticks with me for reasons lol but like. imo it's emotionally resonant to a common experience but i find the subject matter nothing new there are tons of songs about missing people you love done better by lots of artists including glass animals but idk. this song feels like it lacks... definition if that makes sense? idk how to put this but usually when glass animals writes a song they're really specific and they're good at setting the scene that evokes the emotion you understand where they're coming from in a unique way but in this song specifically it felt really vague idk. i still like the song and i've actively sought it out to play it of my own volition so i don't think my nitpicks change anything at the end of the day. i like it so i play it lmao god i hope that ramble made sense
