Even a simple reaching action like this, when done more than once, can be guided by different sets of neurons. This phenomenon is calledย degenะตัะฐัั. Scientists suspect that all biological systems have degeneracy. In genetics, for example, the same eye colour can be produced by different combinations of genes. Your sense of smell works by degeneracy too, and so does your immune system. Transportation systems have degeneracy as well. You can fly from London to Rome on different airlines, on different flights, on different models of air-plane, in different seats, with different flight attendants. Copilots can take over for pilots. Degeneracy in the brain means that your actions and experiences can be created in multiple ways. Each time you feel afraid, for example, your brain may construct that feeling with various sets of neurons.

Just wanna say that If Anakin only loved the โideaโ of Padmรฉ, his โvisionโ of her wouldโve been shattered when he found out she was secretly conspiring behind his back against Palps, while keeping it a secret from him in the ROTS novel. But he quite literally says this instead:
Anakin doesnโt care what Padmรฉ does even if it goes against what he believes in or if *hypothetically* that shatters the image of her, which it doesnโt btw, because we see sheโs still his precious wife. And thatโs because he doesnโt love the idea of her. He only loves her for her. Just like Padmรฉ, he accepts all of her even when he doesnโt agree with her.
Another perfect example is how Anakin even as Vader, still continues to love Padmรฉ after he thought she was teaming up with Obi Wan to have him killed. Literally the first thing he asks is โwhere is Padmรฉ? Is she safe? Is she alright?โ (while still believing, she betrayed him.) thatโs called unconditional love. And when heโs told that he was the one who โkilled herโ, his immediate thoughts are:
โthis burns hotter than the lava had.โ Again, all while thinking she had betrayed him.
Once again thinking about: "He was only fifteen-" "I'm fifteen!"
Imagine being Harry and finding out that one of the worst people you've ever met who does nothing but belittle and degrade you, who has become the antithesis of everything you aspire to be, is the victim of the exact person you believed to be the gold standard.
Because for years, everyone was telling Harry one thing about James while Snape was saying another and, for years, Harry had been comfortable believing Snape was the one who was wrong.
So, imagine being Harry and all you have left of your parents is the memories people choose to share with you, so you take all the scraps and make this Frankenstein idealistic version of your parents because, for a moment, it makes you feel like you actually know them.
And then, just in case you forgot, reality reminds you in maybe the worst way that you don't know these people at all.
"โฆ.Okay, are any of the dishes not poisoned?! Is there anyone at this feast who did not poison anything?!"
